Edit: Another interesting note is, I also has contact with Phoenix Wing a while back ago.
I kinda quit doing artwork as I started to focus on music. It turned out to be a great choice, since I'm now growing rather popular with my works and with good luck will get signed to a record label in some months. I still work alone, though I will need a band when I start to perform live, but that's not something I need to worry about now. The only stuff I draw nowadays is clothes and sewing patterns.

I'm not returning to the JJ2 community. I quit playing ages ago and pretty much lost my interest in the whole thing, now I've got quite different stuff going on (the goth scene, music, photography as in both taking pictures and modeling). If you want to, you can copy this e-mail and post it on the forum. Doesn't really matter to me since this isn't anything so personal and secret I couldn't tell it to anyone.

I think you have her confused with Skull. Skull would indeed be male, but Skulg is a girl. I haven't seen her play JJ2 in like 3 or 4 years though, so you probably just saw Skull, or someone with his name with a G added to it, for the sole purpose of confusing people.

So, where do I start?

First of all, I guess I have to apologize.
Seriously, I wonder why you guys still seem to like me so much, for I haven't really been the most reliable and nice person around... art-wise.
Or maybe I'm wrong and you're after me and want to throw rotten things at me? I dunno. I'll wait and see, I guess. >.>

Honestly, I'm so sorry I never got to finish all your art requests. It was a stupid idea of me to even start that thread and I feel so bad about it.
I've always had problems drawing stuff for people and I don't even know why. I just can't seem to put enough.. passion, thought - whatever you may call it - into pictures as long as they don't contain my own characters, because I just can't really.. feel with them. Or something. It sounds weird, I know, but maybe the artists among us know what I mean.
So that kinda de-motivated me, among other things.
Plus, I'm forgetful as heck. Seriously, I'd forget my own head if it wasn't for my parents or my friends telling me what I still need to do several times a day. My parents say it comes from stress - and dude, I had a lot of stress back then. School, people around me being stupid towards me because I was in that I'm-SO-goth phase (I guess some of you MIGHT recall that... -.-) and my first relationship ever. Yes, it was nice, but also a pain in the.. butt sometimes. The stress went so far I even uhm.. well, let's say, my stomach was ready for the scrap heap. If you know what I mean.
Last but not least - and that's something I still have today and the reason why i'm STILL slow at <i>everything</i> - I just can't seem to find the inner rest to just sit down and do something, no matter how much time I have. It's pathetic, I know. There's ALWAYS something that keeps me from doing things. Mostly a whole bunch of people who want something or won't stop talking to me. Ugh. And I can't just tell them to stop talking to me because then I'm the big evil guy again. -.-
I'm currently trying to get rid of that can't-get-no-rest stuff by making actual PLANS for the day and sadly having to neglect other stuff for it. Especially because it's my last year of school now and I really need to work. *shudders*

BUT I guess you're already growing tired of my whining so ENOUGH OF THAT 8D <-- haha omg that smiley!

So, why did I leave, besides having a really bad conscience and not daring to come back because I thought people here hated me?

Well, since I'm on a router - and that's a few years already - I can't play JJ2 any more. No matter which ports I unlock and yadda yadda. It just keeps throwing me out after a few seconds. IT'S FRUSTRATING.
I still love that game so much and creating levels and tilesets was the BEST THING EVER. I swear. I just can't play it any more and kinda lost the skill and patience for making tilesets. ;_;
Besides that, I had.. other stuff to do, which seemed more important to me. My boyfriend, for example. I guess many of you know how that works. >.>

Well, I probably won't be able to play JJ2 in the near future, but I can try and stop by here more often if you like.

Very close! She's a tentacle-y alien species I made up that can take the shapes of anmials as it grows up and combine them. Skulg chose to become a mixture of a great grey slug and a French bulldog. Haha, the name actually was a thing I thought up when I was nine years old. It was based on the German word for of Guina pig noises, which we call "Glucks". I loved to spell things backwards back then, so it became "Skculg" – I just left out the "c". I had no concept of the English language yet back then – however, today I love the accidental side effect that it almost looks like "slug", as I love slugs to bits! :D

Haha it's awesome! I love how you worked with the colored outlines; this makes the colors come out even better!

I learned to draw Jazz by literally tracing Nick's comic that came with the Jazz Jackrabbit 1 booklet when I was a kid. This helped me get a grasp on his style and anatomy so I could draw Jazz free-handedly later on. With this as a solid foundation, I eventually developed my own style over the years. So if you'd like to practice drawing him, this is one way to do it!

Of course tracing is highly discouraged in the artist community for obvious reasons, but as long as you don't post it online and claim the whole thing as your own, it's a perfectly fine way to practice!

Hahaha! Aw man I'd totally be in! Those were some of the most fun vacations of my life, not kidding. I guess we all kinda drifted apart because everyone was growing up, finishing thesiseseses, getting jobs and all sorts of other adult stuff, so we never managed to initiate any further meetings. I'd join you guys in a heartbeat, though, if any of us ever managed to set one up again.

As for how I've been: I've had my ups and downs the last five years; mostly downs to be honest, but I've overcome them and have emerged as Skulg 2.0, the best and happiest Skulg there ever was. So all is fine. :D

I'm fine, in terms of JJ2 I haven't been *that* active, I started playing again because of JDC. And I still make levels but not that much. I was browsing through some old uploads by XLM the other day :) I was talking to PurpleJazz about how we wanted you to come back and it happened.

I basically was in the community when I was 3+, but not here. I played JJ between 4 and 7-8 years old. BASICALLY, I was part of the community! Basically. I keep repeating the words "I" and "basically" more lately.

When I was like 5 I was Jazz roleplaying with some friends of mine. I was Jazz. Aaaaw :3
