Well, not to try and sound dramatic or anything, but I see these things in my head as they are and I just put them down.
I mean, I don't go around seeing wonky eyeballs in my head all day or anything, but when I start doodling I doodle what's already there.

EDIT: Oh. I just realized. When I first saw this, I thought you had just copied and edited a part from that other picture to fortify the creepiness.
