The first few levels are quite okay. The second level is VERY detailed in eyecandy, although I found a few bugs (which I reported via MSN). I also gave some tips on better background and special effects already. The bosses so far are not quite original, but done well. The story is dark, mysterious, unheard of. I like it. Although I didn't have much faith in this before, I seriously can't wait this time. Keep it up, I'm going to work on my Assault level again. =3

Here is my review of Jazz X.

OMG SPOILER WARNINGZ BELOW ZOMG!!!!!!!!111111

Level 1: The End of the World.

Storyline: We are introduced to Jazz falling through a dark void. Here we meet a villain who we will be fighting later.

Gameplay: You run through, jumping and shooting stuff until you get to the end. It took me a while to actually complete this level, because the path was hidden.

Music: The Misty Lake by Cooth. Wonderful composition, and fitting too.

___

Level 2: Jazz's Home

Storyline: Eva's spotted some creatures, and Jazz finds a dark void at the other side of the level.

Gameplay: TOO MANY ENEMIES PLZ KTHX. This is the absolute NUMBER ONE RULE of making single player levels: DONT PUT IN TOO MANY ENEMIES OR NOBODY WILL PLAY IT. It's like driving without a steering wheel, or gargling antifreeze. Also, too much foreground eyecandy which can prove irritating.

Music: Learning Curve by Alexander Brandon. No further questions on this topic. Although, this is the high quality version of the song. If overlord's "compressed" version (which was just downsampling the quality of the samples) is in your JJ2 folder, it will be overwritten.

__

Level 3: The End of the World

Storyline: Jazz fights Axel with the help of a cheshire cat.

Gameplay: At the start, there's a huge drop, and at the bottom is a pit which will activate a trigger zone if you fall into it, which will kill you slowly and painfully. I much prefer the Rabbit Honor Guard approach: just shoot at the side after you drop down. Also, the boss is horribly hard to finish, even for the first boss in this level pack.

Music: Some snes music which I don't like.

__

Level 4: The End of the World

Storyline: Jazz fights Axel some more, then escapes with the help of the cheshire cat.

Gameplay: Excrutiatingly overenemied. Every so often, a platform appears, and you'll need to jump on it and shoot up at Axel until the cat calls on you.

Music: UtsomeCon.it, which I don't have.

__

Level 5: The World that Never Was

Storyline: Axel talks to the super uber bad guy.

Gameplay: Just a cutscene. Moving along, folks.

Music: Funky Stars by Quazar.

60 levels? I see it'll be long as well =P

People saying it has a deep plot certainly means good things, if it's going to be executed well.

I just looked at the screenshots, and it seems great minds think alike. I had a similar idea like the Carrotus with the vines at the bottom and the thing with the floating suckers. =P
