Jazz Y is a brand new episode being developed by me, and some homeless guy I found outside a Fuddruckers. In the upcoming week, we should have the storyline and character kinks worked out, and will update the website with more screenshots and information.

EDIT- I AM WORKING ON IT (-) IT. LEAVE ME ALONE, I'M NO LONGER PRETTY. AND HE LOVES YOU NOT, I could've told you I have an even number of petals!

The bottom right picture is awesome. Here you are with something that is obviously your own tileset, and you need seven tiles for a destruct scenery block.

No, it's just a parody idea I had last night. It's more like a Jazz X Companion than a Jazz X Killer. Where Jazz X is serious, Jazz Y is completly.. erm, unserious.

This pack is being made, later on next week(or tommorrow if I'm lucky) the website will be updated with all kinds of information, screenshots, credits, making-of featurettes, and director commentary. Ok maybe not the last two.

Currently the intro level of Jazz Y is completed. I am sacrificing working on the site, to actually get cutscenes(Yes, actual cutscenes. Animated and the works) and levels done.

UF has joined the Jazz Y labs team as Beta-Tester, Jazz X consultant, and Music Library. He will also be making a special memory-boost program exclusive to Jazz Y(if we need it) if you haven't already used his other Memory boost patch.

The site had a small update last night, and graphics for the major website redesign are now at 75%. Last night a few concept levels for the few in-game cutscenes were produced, and today I'll get the website graphics to 90%, and work on a concept level for the final boss of the first slew of levels(5 levels that span 12 .j2l files.).
Today I will work on a OMGTOPSECRETFEATURE as well, the feature should have an up and running concept .j2l tomorrow.

OMG CONCEPT LEVEL (http://unknown.halleyscometsoftware.com/jazzy/JazzYconcept_omg.j2l)

This was inspired by the "wrong movie" thing on the Monty Python and the Holy Grail DVD.

For those of you wondering, the majority of UF's concept levels are just that: concepts, and do not reflect the final product.

Also featuring the Tweedle song from American McGee's Alice! (Note: You might need a memory expansion to play the song. There is one for 1.23 that will increase it to 50 MB, which is up for grabs here (http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/downloads/info.php?levelID=3997).)

I'll answer your question with another question... or rather two:
A) Have you asked DX the same question?
B) When was Jazz Y ever meant to be professional?

B) When was Jazz Y ever meant to be professional?Okay, you win.

The masking is rather horrendous... you should get that fixed. Otherwise, it's a very original piece of work.

Tileset fixed and Level updated to use new tileset. Updated tileset does not replace old one. The website has no popups if you use Firefox (Apparently Rad isn't one with the internet yet). (http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=23689)

Jazz Z, anyone?

n00b

Jazz Y has now been changed to the dreaded "On Hold Indefiently" mode.
After a recent HD crash, I don't feel motivated to restart any of the work I had completed. Also, in the crash I lost valuble level scripts(text-event stuff, not any scripting language sort of deal mind you) and the like which at this point can no longer be recovered.

However, if there is enough demand, I may consider restarting the project.
EDIT- Recreation of a Jazz Y Ad that was meant for the website. The song is an edited version of "C'mon Kids" by the Boo Radleys (By Edit, I mean cut out the first 15 seconds, and chop up the next 50 seconds of the song (by no means the remaining seconds, the song at it's full length is at about 2 minutes) into small soundbytes) (http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=113500)

Considering the pack was made PRIOR to JSD, NO.
I find making tileset-based bosses to allow more creativity and more options if there isn't enough challenge than just skinning one of JJ2's.
