Theres a bug in the "this weeks top downloads"... Theres some useful program called a "J2b converter" in it that doesnt exist. The error is called a "404" and means the link is broken.

MINOR CORRECTION: The whole bar doesnt work.

We're well aware of what a 404 is.

The J2B to IT converter can be found here. (http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/downloads/info.php?levelID=3999)

I never really used it. Till yesterday. Shouldn't this be fixed? It is quite an easy bug. Just wrong linking.

I mean, they fixed the bug that wouldn't let you rate something below a 1, how hard is it to fix some links?

Many of the side panels could use some improvement if you ask me. Just don't anticipate changes any time soon without constant nagging.

I would change them (even without more nagging) but my HD is dead. Once I get a new harddisk and reinstall everything I will fix it. Also, it seems the problem with the panel is larger than just some dead links. Also, if anyone has other suggestions for panel fixes/other bugs that need fixing while I'm at it, feel free to post them.

Small correction:
I mean, they fixed the bug that <b>would</b> let you rate something below a 1, how hard is it to fix some links?

You consider J2Ov2 a bug? :'(Yeah, you should definitely fix the bug in the page's main index which redirects to /J2Ov2.

Speaking of which, all the music download links in the Jazz Jackrabbit 3 FAQ (http://www.jazz2online.com/j3f/) are broken, they are linking to www.jazz2online.com/~j3f/music/file when they should be linking to www.jazz2online.com/j3f/music/file (the ~ needs to go). This is actually minor but it is a pity for those who wished to download the music and did not know only to remove the ~ from the link.

Ok, I fixed the following per suggestions here and in PM:
<ul>
<li>Top downloads weekly</li>
<li>Broken JJ3 music links</li>
<li>Outdated Haze's Hideout url</li>
<li><strike>J2Ov2</strike></li>
</ul>
Maybe Blur has actual panel suggestions. Other suggestions for fixes are always welcome. Some I can think of are better information in the Latest Articles and Latest Content panels and a more senseful ERE panel..

how about a clan news panel, where each clan can post one message a month or so <strike>to gain attention</strike> to have their news read by outsiders too?

sorry for reviving :lol:

looks more like a bunch of notes with a lot of different topics.. isn't there some thing for important clans-related news here? Where clan leaders can submit a message once in a month or so? that's what I were thinking of..

Your own clan website?

I doubt anyone outside your clan is interested in what happens in your clan. If they are, they can visit the clan website's news page, because frankly that's where the clan news belongs.

Still it would be useful if you can just view each clan's latest news on one page.:roll:
