The Boss Contest was a few months back, and we seem between LMAT's at the moment, so I thought I'd start another quick little competition. This time it's Level Gimmicks. It's not the best name but it's what I came up with.
What do I mean by gimmicks? Little sections of levels with a more or less unique gameplay style. Examples could include the floating rock from blur's demo, the tree surfing in Agent Jackrabbit, the speed shoes near the end of Mike's second episode, or the controllable ships in the Lost Vikings episode. They can be a whole level, or just part of a level. But they're fun and interesting and add variety to the standard single player formula.
Again, you have a week. I'll close this at 11:59 PM, PST, March 29th. Winner gets, I dunno, the abandoned beta for Jazz Sky Rabbit 2. Don't worry, it's much better than the original.

(You can submit more than one gimmick if you like. Please make something new and do not recycle. Eyecandy is nice but not all-important - this is about the actual playstyle, not the presentation.)

EDIT: Oh, you can edit anims.j2a if you like.

My little addition:
Team Play (http://chaos.foxmage.com/CrimiClown/Teamplay.zip)
This allows you to play with both characters at once. It's undetailed, simple and bland, but I'm going to use my best ideas for my next SP pack. I wouldn't want to spoil everything now, would I? ;)

A pretty cool thing about pushable events (boxes, powerups etc.) is that if you freeze them and then push, they will move on their own until the ice melts. This level here shows how you can use them as a vehicle with a little bit of ice and ricocheting ceiling...

I have a great submission (it's part of a level I just happen to be working on) but I didnt come up with the idea until last night. I guess it's too late though.
