In v. 1.00g, apparently JJ2 had both Pepsi and Cocacola cans in place of the
soda cans we have in JJ2 today.
The biggest question is: Why did Coke and Pepsi withdraw their product placement?

Pepsi removed their product placement, not Coke. Coke-styled cans are still in JJ2.

I beg to differ. The one on the left is the final can, and the one on the right is the CocaCola can.

Speaking of custom J2As, i'd like to see a custom one that replaces the Jazz Soda and Fake Coke cans with Coca Cola and Pepsi cans, respectively (so the Colonius levels don't have Pepsi in them. Pepsi sucks, especially when warm.)

Anyway, how exactly are these "most hidden and greatest unused"? They're just pickup sprites used in an easily downloadable prototype. The stuff that actually had to be extracted is a lot more impressive.
