About a year ago I started a CafePress store (that contained nothing). Then back around November I added a few designs. Finally, last month, someone actually bought something. Some guy spent over 30 dollars on 25 of my "beware of rabbit" buttons. As odd as it was that someone would do such a thing, I'm glad for the sale (of which I get to keep a whopping $6.45 USD o.O'). A few days ago, someone even bought a mousepad (with the same design). I checked into it, and it turns out my "beware of rabbit" design made the top of the list on a search :D. I checked again today though, and it fell back a bit. Still high on the list though, so it is still spiffin' (pwned). I think that sale of the 25 buttons really knocked my design up there (but who spends 30 dollars on buttons? I suppose I could contact the guy, but I don't want to intrude. I'd really like to know what the buttons are going to be used for though).

With the attention my store has been getting, I've decided to put some more work into it. It is looking more and more like stuff you'd actually see in a real store, so thats prety cool. I'm prety inspired by this, I'm wondering if I could look into other business opportunities :).

If anyone wants to see my rockin' desings, I've got a few up at

I'm hoping to get a few more up as well. (Sorry I don't have anything with Toca or the rest at the moment. I'm taking some advice I got at a game dev conference and I'm keeping them under wraps until I get some stronger legal protection for my works. Unfortunately this means I won't be posting any new Toca stuff for some time. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get around to that, but it may be a while. A friend of mine says I should consider trademarking them, but I'll have to look into all my options and find what works best for me).

Very creative. I like the Denied t-shirt and the Mr. Bunny t-shirt, as well as the calendar.

If I could, I bought that green Mr Bunny t-shirt, it just rocks.

Yeah, Mr. bunny is one of my favorite designs... Er, actually one of my only designs. I'd have to make more sometime. :P

Really, the only design that is making sales so far though is the Beware of Rabbit stuff. I've sold a load of buttons and one mouse pad. I think it is because it gets good search results. I'd have to find out some way to bump up the Mr. bunny one too.

Pretty good, though I wish you had more of a variety with designs. I don't like seeing the same logo on everything, personally.

I have had a cafe press site for years and have only made two or three sales. What are you doing to promote it?

Yeah, I totally have to agree with you. The repetition is rather annoying. Thats one of my biggest gripes with a large number of cafepress stores. So many items with the same darn design -.-

I tried to mix it up a bit, but I'm still not "there" yet with the variety thing. What would be really awesome to sell would be comic books or video games, but those kinda take a lot of time and effort to produce. Like, a few months to a year or more (that'd be the game, not the comic lol, just a little obvious note FYI). And the video game thing would require a team.

I really didn't do anything to promote my site just yet. The store has actually been sitting there since November of '05 (when I uploaded my first designs) and only started making sales when someone bought like, 25 mini buttons with the "beware of rabbit" design. I think that kind of shot that item into the best sellers list :D. So far thats the only design that has been selling but I think the main reason is because it is the only design I have that gets good search results (getting the number one spot, or appearing on the first page on search results) a.k.a. "w00t!"

Really I've only made sales on 3 different occasions so far, but the thing is that a few people have bought loads of "beware of rabbit" mini-buttons for some reason. Why? I have no clue lol, but hey I like it :D.

I'm thinking about getting some advertisement in though. A good friend of mine has offered to spread the word on his myspace, and I heard that myspace was a great place to do it (ranked as like, the third most daily visited website or something).

Oh wait *memory kicking me in the keister* Hey, yeah, I remember your stuff. You have the fun over safety shirt and stuff, right? Your designs kick hairy goat butt! LOL, wait no that sounds negative. I mean they rock. What was your store's URL again?
