View Full Version : How many hours have you spent on JJ2?

Take a moment to think about all those years (or months) of your time in the community and as an active player of the game. Most games are considered long if you can squeeze out more than 100 hours of gameplay from them but given that some people have been in the community for a bit more than 8 years, the hours must count into the low thousands by now. Just count up the time spent on all the Bashes you've attended, the hours in front of the computer screen during holidays (multiplied by the number of major holidays you have each year :p) and add to that the time devoted to tournaments like the JDC. Feel free to use your own system, or maybe take a wild guess, because I don't want the poll results to show what people think how long they should've played if it weren't for, er, life getting in the way.
Remember: this is time spent on JJ2, not community sites, forums or even JCS!
Ok, anyway, where's the 'Add poll' button? :(

The problem is that I am active even in the school, when drawing the levels...

I took a wild guess, but in retrospect I think it's too low.

Most of my hours came from the last millenium. Depending on how "Jazzing hours" is defined I could probably go up to 1500 hours if this includes time spent on JJ2-related programming.

Does that include idle hosting? Because my answer would vary quit a bit depending on that. :P

Uhh...3 and a half JDC season, two very active years (VERY), one meh year, one and a half inactive years (05/06). A LOT of JCSing and JCS related stuff....way over 2000.

It racks up to quite a lot; lesee I usually get in a solid hour or more a day; and about four per day on weekends and free days; thats 13+ per week, given 52 weeks in a year we can assume a total of 676 hours a year. I've played Jazz like that since about 1996, giving a total of 6'760, plus the inumerable hours I enjoyed in the two years before that.
And I don't JCS much, it makes my skin wrinkle.

I have no idea. 2000 hours is roughly 83 days (morning, noon and night, no sleep, eating, school, work or life), which seems like quite a lot to me. But then again, I assume it's possible when it's spread over 8 years. (say 10 days a year, which is 240 hours, which amounts to roughly 40 minutes per day, assuming you'd play every day). All I know is that I used to play way more than was good for me.

Remember: this is time spent on JJ2, not community sites, forums or even JCS!...should've read that before voting. Around 1000 with JCS and J2O excluded.

I wasted my childhood on this game. And a good part of my adolescence.

Uhhh... considering I played offline fr aprox. 5-6 years and 6 months online, I'd say... 600 - 800? It's just a guess.
EDIT - JazzBusters is a liar. >(
