I've heard a few players talk about Orbitus stage 2 being stupid hard or whatever, but I managed to find my out just fine. FIRST TIME. What's the big deal?

I think it might have been that one part where you had to ride those platforms over the spikes, when the game was running at normal speed in DOSBox those things ran pretty fast. Is that it?

Bah, I dunno. I guess after doing those jumping quests in Maple Story, playing ROMs of various Mario games and dealing with the severe lag of JJ1 in DOSBox, I guess it came naturally.

Of course, I was playing on EASY mode, I'd take it there'd be much more stuff to shoot at on the higher levels.

I'm not trying to make fun of anyone's skills, I'm just saying that I didn't have much trouble with that level. It's nothing to worry about.

I beat Orbitus 2 on normal mode on my first try as well.
I guess these people have never played Raneforus 2 or Deserto 2, now those levels were pretty hard.

It took me several trys for me, but I think it took close to an half hour for me to complete that part of the level. I find the hard part was the low resolution could not give a large enough view to visualize the path, and that's the part I find frustrating.

Nah, the platforms over the spikes are easy. The big deal is the part right before that, where you have to use the springy floors to aim yourself at an opening of one tile wide, and if you miss you're hurled into the springy floor above and have to start over that part again. This part of the level is not affected by difficulty as far as I know, except that on hard and turbo you'll lose a life if your timer runs out.

Bah. That part was cake. However, on Orbitus level 1 where you bounced around this very large room, there where Silversnakes flying about. THOSE where annoying.

Really, the only truly evil stage was Exoticus 2. It just takes forever.

At the end of the day, different things are hard for different people. As an example I could never get my head round the Edanna Age in Myst III, but my sister just cruised through it. On the flip side she had problems with a couple of boss battles in a different game, whereas I trundled through and fairly pwned the boss with no problems.

I know people who have problems with the Schwarzengaurd boss in JJ2, which is by far one of the easier bosses.

Deserto two, is in my opinion the hardest JJ1 level. Especially on turbo, it took me months to get through without dying.

Still haven't got past Guardian in JJ1. Ah well.

Awww don't worry; here's a tip, you can hide from the mean nasty turtle in the little nook you fall down from, there you can shoot him as much as you want.

However, the rest of the game is gonna toast your rear.

Oh dear god, if you can't beat the Gaurdian in "Turtle Terror", the Ostrich boss in the next episode is going to kick your (-) and wipe the floor with it.

Yeah, and it'll take you A LOT of practice to even see DarkJazz without using cheats...

That doesn't sound too hygenic...

Actually, the ostrich boss can also be taken out without ever coming within its reach. Just make sure to save your launcher ammo, stay in your starting spot and start firing away each time the ostrich appears. The radius of the bullet's path is just small enough to get in a few hits.

Yeah, I used that method when I was passing that boss for the first time. ;D
