I am probably going to get in trouble because of this one, but it's a question I believe should be asked. Btw, I do believe so.

From a technical standpoint, most of the internet is communist.

In modern usage, the term Communism (written with a capital C) is applied to the movement that aims to overthrow the capitalist order by revolutionary means and to establish a classless society in which all goods will be socially owned. The theories of the movement come from Karl Marx, as modified by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, leader of the successful Communist revolution in Russia. Communism, in this sense, is to be distinguished from socialism, which (as the term is commonly understood) seeks similar ends but by evolution rather than revolution.

Yes. The better-skilled community members spend their time creating benefits such as websites and articles for the lesser-skilled members, who receive help, instruction and example to compensate for and aid in their own lack of skills. Hoarding is limited, resulting in a gradual progression towards a equitalented populace.

(...not that I actually believe that.)

Communism is a political ideology pertaining to things like collective ownership and redistribution of wealth. It has nothing to do with internet forums, and if you think it has, you should find out what communism is (hint: it's not equal to 'dictatorship' or 'authoritarianism').

As I see it, the "leaders" of the JJ2 community are not for restributing the wealth or seeking to destroy capitalism in other video game communities.

As I see it, JJ2 is more or less run by the masses, with various people sticking out as either the "leaders" or the "hated people". The former have more say in the way things are, and the latter are usually just targeted for various personality quirks.

I just think that certain people rule over jazz and you make one minor mistake, BOOM your out. The fact that you can't really do anything about it or get a chance to explain yourself. The problem is that after people get banned, they'll spend hours building some kind of program to anger the jazz community and then people will wonder why it's so messed up. HELLO???

So you really did not understand what communism actually is. That's a 2300 point deduction from your life highscore right there.
Also, I've never heard of any minor mistakes that got anyone banned. Besides Odin ( whom we all miss dearly ), who got banned for a minor mistake because he got banned about 60 times before.

People get banned very rarely, and when they do it is because of repeat offenses, not one minor mistake. Before being banned from whatever it is that is banning them, people usually get warnings, effectively asking them to stop acting in some way that is detrimental to the community. I don't really know what it is you're talking about being banned from, so I can't comment in much greater detail, but if you mean the list servers for some reason, you don't get banned unless you're obviously acting maliciously, which is different from a minor mistake.

This is not true. You chide DrMoo for not knowing what communism actually is - but you in your turn ignore how the forum rules work. You don't get banned for minor mistakes, you get banned for having three warnings or more. If you make one minor mistake, you'll never get banned. Not even if you make 10 minor mistakes. Odin was banned for having more than three warnings, not for that isolated 'mistake'. Additionally, his last warning was not for that 'mistake', but for the PA he made *along* with several other PAs. Often, warnings are given for a series of offenses together. Odin was warned for a series of offenses, and would have been banned regardless of that post or not, just a little later maybe. This is not the place for discussing this, but I felt like clearing that up. This misconception (and ignorance of the rules) seems to be floating around a lot.

That's a lot of text. I don't remember perfectly, but I think that the way I said it wasn't meant to be taken too literally; it is true that one gets banned more quickly the more often one has been banned before, isn't it? What I meant was the amazing shortness of Odin's stay rather than that one supposed misdemeanor ( which I still haven't fully understood ).

You register, read the rules. You break them and you get banned. That's really all there is to it.

You don't like them, don't register.
