The three winning levels that will be used in the J2MC Season 2 have been chosen! We received thousands of great entries, and the process of judging the winners was certainly not easy. In July, the eyes of the entire Jazz Jackrabbit 2 community will be on the talented players from across the globe who will be competing on these levels at J2MC.

The Judging Process
A small internal team started by removing the levels that didn't comply with the rules, levels that had glaring gameplay problems even at first glance, and some that looked like fun to play on JDC, but not in a serious competition.

After several rounds of this vetting, the team had greatly reduced the number of entries still under consideration down to 7. A team of five judges to completed the remainder of the selection process.

The Judges
We selected a team of judges representing different parts of the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 community. They were:

Cooba - Founder of the level making group Impressive Creations
ChippieBW - Supervisior of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 World Championships
EvilMike - Administrator of Jazz Duelists' Challange
R3ptile - I, Myself, Supervisior of J2MC
Vegito - Champion of JJ2WC Duelist Cup III

The Levels

You should be extra skilled to master the level perfectly with all its tricks, but also extra careful; one moment of carelessness may result you not in one, but two points! Evil, but combined with EvilMike's great level design and the cool atmosphere, it works.

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/images/award_day2.gif The Death Facility \ P4ul

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/images/award_day3.gif Chlorophyll World \ Enigma

Could you describe the voting process for the winners in more detail? It's always suspicious when one of the Judges has the winning entry.

Well, they were judging without even being aware, so I guess it was fair after all.

We received thousands of great entries

Thousands? Really? Show them! All of them! ;)

Feel free to change the respawn time on the carrots to what you guys think is best for your tournament. You said you might make minor changes to a level anyway.

I promised a poll, but there was nothing legendary about it.

He just hosted the levels and whoever joined his server got to comment on them.

My favourite level out of all the entries was superjazz's (atomic heart) but r3p didn't like that one :(

To be honest, I find this infomation kinda lacking. There is not any info why something got chosen and why not, also I would like to see more oppinions about the levels.

All levels will be reviewed once the new website is up... don't worry :p

Hmm. I'm announced here as a judge, but the three entries above weren't my favorites (although I would've placed Death Facility second) so I'm unsure how the final results were being counted.

Except that you didn't listen to my comments at all, so please remove me from the judges list.
