Yes, we knew it would come someday. Eventually we will be slaves of the monopolistic Microsoft Corp., which will probably overthrow the government sooner or later, probably eventually converting to a communist country (but more likely ruled by Bill Gates). What ridiculous thing have they done this time to ensure global domination? Yes, believe it or not, Microsoft is trying to patent the numbers 0 and 1? What the !#%$? Now we have to pay a 10 cents for every time those are used in code. They are seeking to expand that also. So theoretically someday I may already owe Bill Gates 20 cents just for writing this rant (well, 30 counting the 20, but then it'll keep going infinitely, to prove my point). But since 1 and 0 are basically what everything else is based off mathematically (extending to Newton's principle, etc.) next to everything could theoretically be owned by Microsoft. Now Microsoft not will own everything, but NOTHING, too! Darn 0's. Oh wait, that's another ten cents down the drain. Rats.
