New tournament idea - ICC

What strikes me is that there appears to be no sort of tournament in which clans compete to win the title of Supreme-Clan. So far the only form of combat between clans seems to be the conventional clanwars.

I propose a new tournament, the Inter-Clan Championships. The specifications for such a tournament stand as follows;


Each competing team would consist of five players
There would be one team per clan
Each clan's team MUST include it's leader
All clans may take part, as long as they have five members willing to compete


Such a tournament should be held annually, outside the JDC season, and should be a team effort, not run by a single person. I intend to prepare this tournament, but what I need to know first is, is anyone interested in playing, and is anyone interested in helping to run the tournament. If possible, could some community members not involved in clans help out in organising the structure of the tournament, so as to provide an unbiased arrangement for matches.

Thanks in advance for any support, threats of gruesome decapitation in advance for any critisism.

4v4 might work with some twist...
and this should be organized by someone who's experienced in organizing events...
...just to prevent completely unnecessary confusion and internal discord with the rules, etc...

By Jove! That's what you get when such a tournament's thread is inactive and off the list in the 'Jazz Jackrabbit Tournaments' forum.

By Hook and by Crook, if such a tournament already exists, my work here is done. If anyone still does want this tournament, develop it yourselves. Remember, democracy is the way.

Except that jj2wc didn't become a clan tournament in the latest edition (I think it should have been started even if there only was 4 clans)

Anyway, I like this idea.. CC, would sign up with Chiyu, Grytolle, Vegito, Snooze and Maverick if it's CTF-based.. If it's TB-based, we'll put Anakin and Umba in the lineup instead..

Good luck! Although I doubt there are enough clans with 5 (or more) good active players..

Hehe , I like the idea too , but 5vs5 is a bit much imo....a 4vs4 CTF Tournament would be cool though.

AW only would have enough people able to participate in a warteam for a 2VS2 tourney, 3 if we're extremely lucky and gambit comes back from in-activity.

Skillz That Killz will reign supreme, since we will be the only team to round the 5 players (since no other clan shows enough intrest to). After that, it doesn't matter if half of them time out within 30 seconds or just leave for other buisness in less time.

I just figured out what might be the reason every reacent tourney has failed.. but I'm not telling you until I'm entirely sure it's that loser.

I just felt like asking (in a "emp-ish" way, you may recall) him to not talk something that doesn't contribute to the thread or what could be rendered spam or bragging about minimal achievements (like a hundred times before)...
