Well...I decided that I would start a story of my own...It will be Jazz 2 related after the first chapter...if anyone wants to be included, let me know...

Character Profile

Name: Joshua Lightwalker
Race: Human
Weapon: Two Swords and a Laser Blaster.
Bio: A young teenager who searches for adventure. Freeing struggling planets under the grasp of evil in the Video Dimension (where Video Game Characters are real), he is well known and respected. A gifted warrior, his swordsplay is unique and envied by many swordsman.
Personallity: Calm and serious, but also full of energy and happy. He worries about others that could be in trouble, and has a bad habit of being unable to move near girls...
Appearance: He wears a red cap on backwards, and has brown hair. His eyes a green and he wears a white t-shirt. He has black pants and one mechanical hand.

Might as well start....

Chapter One: Carrotus.

Space...a huge void...devoid of life...well, most forms of life. Many planets are scattered through the dimensions...There's our dimension, where everyone works, gets drunk and ponders why other dimensions couldn't exist...

It's a secret hidden from everybody on Earth...a chosen few know, and those few roam through the dimensions, fighting of the evil that plauges them...

Then, there is the Video Dimension, where Video Game Characters exist, they breath, they eat, but they are constantly battling against the forces of evil. There is little, if any human life on these planets in this dimension.

Our Story begins, in the Jazz Sector. Where there has been no contact from any of the planets for sometime. Deciding to investigate, a young warrior, by the name of Joshua Lightwalker, sets out to discover why...

Joshua looked up at the consle, the display came to life, showing the captial planet of the Jazz Jackrabbit realm. Looking down at the planet which seemed to be covered in mostly vegetation, a strange beam of energy shot out from it!

"What the...?!" Joshua yelled angrily.

He veered his ship to the right, the beam narrowly avoiding his ship. He felt the ship shudder and tried to see the source.

"No! It couldn't be!!!"

A huge series of Battleships were lined up behind him. Lasers firing like made. He felt sweat trickling down his face and pressed a button. The ship instantly turned around, which caused the Battleships to stop. On board, thier leader adjusted his glasses and looked.

"Well, well, well...It's the Ultimate Gamer! Heh...Continue fire! He must not be allowed to reach the planet alive to warn them about our battleships! By now, my forces should have already captured most of the rabbits on the planet!" Devan laughed.

Joshua flinched when that voice echoed through his comlink. There was a huge blast of laser fire, and the ship started to plummet towards the planet. Pressing another button, a door on the ship opened, and Joshua looked down.

"Earth Pillar!"

A pillar of hardened rock and clay rose up next to him. Standing on it, he found a laser turret lined up at him. There was a loud blast of energy, and Joshua fell to the ground, unconcious...

"Devan! The boy has been eliminated! We should..."

"Fools! He's been able to survive much worse than that! Find him and finish the job! Now!" Devan ordered.

Two Squads of Turtles raced out of a nearby base, heading in the direction of a forest, while a green rabbit with blue eyes raced after them....

Bio: For every hero, there is one who follows the darkness and Assassin Aharon is no exception. After attempting to destroy planet Earth three times, but his plans were thrawted by Joshua and his friends. Killed in battle against Joshua when they were fighting in his own dimension where his memories exist, he vanished...but being in Joshua's memories, caused him to come back. No matter how many times he falls, he will return...

Hmmm....Man I really need to go through the characters again...it's like...way too many to choose! And some characters, compared to mine, are like...really old...(No offense)...it's just I'm not used to using characters over 25 years...Owwww...my head hurts:confused: :confused:

Still, I'm trying to think who I'd pair Joshua up with...heh...Most of the characters I posted before (the ones that I found on the character board), I thought were interesting...but still, I have other characters, just not using them in this story...I'd hurt myself...and my head...

And you gotta feel sorry for all those charaters, stucj in the eternal war of their respective games. I'm gonna go find a chocolate fudge dimension, I'm all depressed now.

Oookay...Chapter 2!

Chapter: Awakening

There was nothing but a black void...but something...someone was standing there...their back was turned from the others who looked on, as the figure got to his feet. The two soldiers instantly froze with fear as he walked past them.

Breathing a sigh of relief, was their mistake. They quickly found a large sycthe, piercing right through their chests, blood pouring down the blade until they lay on the floor, dead.

"Fools. Never express your relief when I am in your prescene...

On Carroutus...

"C'mon kid, get up. This isn't the time to be sleeping!" a voice called.

Joshua's eyes opened, temporarly blinded by the light before it was smothered by the dark clouds in the sky. Looking over him was a green rabbit with a blue blaster.

"Hey, Are you alright? You were muttering in your sleep about an accident..." the rabbit started.

Joshua got to his feet and dusted himself off. Looking around, he was expecting the planet to be mostly vegetation...he was taken surprise when most of the surroundings seemed to be made of factories, creating toxic fumes into the air.

"Owww...I should've been more careful..." Joshua said, looking at the rabbit.

"Odd. I didn't expect a human to come to this planet in this time of peril! You see, Devan Shell is releasing a larger army we have ever face before...There were too many for all of us, so we retreated. My brother and sister as well as a few others are in hiding at our resistance..." the rabbit explained.

"Wait a second...We better get to this resistance. I hear some turtles coming....Hey! The name's Joshua Lightwalker. I'd tell you more about myself, but we better get out of here first!" Joshua suggested.

"Jazz, Jazz Jackrabbit. We better hurry. These turtles are smarter and faster than before..."

After at least ten minutes of running, they had reached an old forest, which was a surprise to Joshua. Why would there be a forest in all this machinary?

The forest shimmered and turned into a metallic forteress, which made Joshua smile, but the turtles had found them.

"I'll take these guys, Jazz! Get moving!"

Jazz stood beside Joshua and loaded his blaster, this made his feel a bit more relaxed, usually he had to fight more troops on his own.

"Surrender, Joshua! We know who you are and what you intend to do! Hand yourself over and Devan may be quite merciful!" the leader offered.

Joshua stood there, smirking before he had drawn his swords and had taken on an offensive stance.

"Omega Slice!"

Joshua raced towards the turtles and thrust his swords beside him. Charging straight through the army, apparently not doing any damage, until a purple beam of energy blasted through them, causing them to vapourize.

"Hmph. That was disappointing..." Joshua muttered while Jazz stood thier, mouth wide with surprise...

Chapter 3: The Resistance.

As the large doors opened to the base, Joshua looked around in confusion. This
technology was not as advanced as he had thought. The room he was in was quite large, making him feel uneasy, but he continued to follow Jazz.

After walking for a few minutes, they had reached the center of the base, where a red rabbit, who looked like he was insane because of his scruffy appearance and eyes which kept spinning in circles, there was a blue rabbit wearing a red dress and small crown, whichJoshua quickly concluded that she was royalty, and the last rabbit in the room was yeloow, had purple shorts and t-shirt and was looking at him curiously.

"Uh...Hi...I'm Joshua Lightwalker. I'm here to assist in the destuction of Devan's army. I expect you are all experts with various fire-arms?" Joshua asked.

The red rabbit nodded wildly, before pulling out a small green gun, which he fired a bullet into the air, which somehow brought down a small U.F.O.

"Riiiiight...So I presume he's crazy..." Joshua said, edging away slowly.

"That's normal for him. Spaz always acts this when he's bored...or there's nothing going on in his tiny mind..." the yellow rabbit sighed.

Joshua thought for a second and tried to communicate.

"HE-LL-O SP-A-Z. DO Y-OU UN-DER-STAND ME?" Joshua said slowly.

There was laughter before Joshua simply fell forward, anime style. He got to his feet and looked at the two female rabbits.

"I guess you are Princess Eva....and this must be Lori...Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt if you guys explained what's going on." Joshua asked.

Hmmm...Thinking of Joshua turning into a rabbit for a few chapters because when Joshua goes to certain planets, he SOMETIMES morphs into certain characters...like when Sora's outfit changes in Kingdom Hearts...

Better put up a description of Joshua (Rabbit)

Appearance: All white fur and green eyes. He has green arm cuffs and a blue and red blaster. His weapon of choice is the normal rapid fire.

S.P.I.K.E Invasion



Chapter One

It was a day of darkness, the world had fallen into despair as dark shadows of evil closed it's grip on the planet. World leaders lead thier armies into battle, millions die. Destruction and death is everywhere, but in the darkness, there is always a light. No matter how small, it will shine and save the planet. In this case, the light is a small band of heroes, called...The Gaming Force...

As these heroes strive to regain the powers they once lost, they find themselves surrounded by the dark forces summoned by it's leader...and they are in danger.

Dark Soliders attack!

As the small band of heroes equipped thier weapons, they were each unique. One of them, was an axe-master. He carried a large, double sided Dragon Axe. His abilites were to use Fire spells. He wore a basketball outfit, which was red and was quite tall. His name was Seb.

Beside him was a small boy, around 13. He quickly created an aura around his hands and two daggers of ice were formed. He was able to create millions of them, and could cast Ice spells. He wore a blue jacket and was named Zac.

The one in the center wore a red cap backwards, allowing his hair to poke through the hole. He drew two swords, one he had forged with his own hands, and the other was one he found on his journeys. He wore cyber armor which was colored in Green, Blue, Red and Purple. His shoes were of his own design, colored in the same way, but were called the Air Blasters. He nodded at his friend and brother. His name was Joshua. He was a master of Earth and Light abilites.

"Fools, resistance is useless, surrender now..."

The soldier didn't finish his sentance. He was sliced clean in half by Seb's axe. While Joshua and Seb attacked normally, Zac watched out for danger and cast Blizzaga and Ice Pillar as much as he could. After all the fighting, they were victorious.

"...Man, people on Earth hate us. We were once normal kids...until that tornado that warped us through time and space, and awakening our powers which were to remain dormant. But we do not age..." Joshua said, placing his swords back in thier sheaths.

Zac looked behind them and saw another squad, accompnied by a heavily armed tank.

"We should retreat back to the base, hopefully we can locate the others in time..." Zac said.

"I'M THE LEADER HERE! BRO!" Joshua yelled angrily, causing Zac to flinch.

"Enough. We must get to the base, now!" Seb commanded.

They nodded and raced towards the outskirts of the city, where few tread now...

Chapter Two.

"So, I presume your troops failed me again, General Jessica..."

Jessica looked around anxiously, looking for a way to escape. She was well aware of the penalty for failure. Her eyes started to fill with tears, and she started to kneel, crying.

"I BEG YOU, DAKODA! GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE!!!" she pleaded.

The dark warrior was surprised by this reaction, and smiled evily. He nodded at Jessica.

"Very well...I will permit you one last chance, to kill those brats. I want Seb alive! He's darkness may prove useful. My brothers mean nothimg to me. I offered them the infinte power of Darkness, and they rejected me..."

Dakoda turned away and looked down at his clawed hand. It shimmered a dark black and died down.

"Do not...fail me again."

At the base...

"No...Please don't...I can't..."

"Do you surrender your heart to the eternal night? Do you realise that you were a fool..."

And then reality. Joshua woke up, sweating and shaking with fear. His dark shadows, were filling him with the thing he hated the most.

A young teenage girl raced into the room and quickly hugged Joshua.

"H-Hey! I'm fine! Aisha!"

Aisha was 14. She had brown hair, flowing down her shoulders and her eyes were green. She was wearing her dress which was purple in color and two wings that allowed her to fly. She was following Joshua since the day they met.

"You okay? I knew you were having a nightmare again..." Aisha sighed.

Joshua got out of his bed and looked out the window. There wasn't much to look at. Only the desolate wasteland Earth had become. He turned from Aisha and spoke.

"It's Dakoda...He's coming...Why must he torment me? I want to leave the darkness he offers...but I can't..."

Aisha walked up next to him and snuggled against him.

"You know...We've been together since we were kids...And...I think I've fallen in...ah..." Aisha stammered.

"I know. You love me. But I can't tell you how I feel. We can be together, but I don't think we are exactly..."

Joshua remained silent and didn't move.

"If you leave me to think about it...I might..." Joshua said.

Aisha nodded and left. She knew this meant no.

Chapter Three.

A lone figure made his way through the city. As he made his way past the lowly thieves and mutant monsters, he finally found a building he was looking for.

"So...I guess the kid who wants to save the world is in here, huh? We'll see if he's even strong enough to defeat me! This duel shall be another victory...and after he's shattered, I will save the world for the glory!" he yelled.

His red coat was blown around in the wind, revealing a black t-shirt with a the word 'Slayer' on it. Before he could walk inside however, a figure dropped behind him and drew his twin swords.

"Heh. I guess you overestimate your chances. The name is Joshua. You must have some important buisness if your here by yourself, or your working for S.P.I.K.E..." Joshua muutered

The other person laughed and drew two guns from his hands. His glasses shone brightly and he fired. The bullets simply rushed past him as Joshua created a wall of stone. With a simple push of his hand, the wall fell, landing on the opponent.

"Not bad..."

He retaliated using his gun as a club. Joshua took the hit and fell to the ground. His head was bleeding slowly. He moved his hand to the wound and was in a bad mood.

He started to let out a yell as he thrust out his arms and a golden aura surrounded him. He charged at the foe and he was thrown against the ground.

"Enough?"

The figure got to his feet and laughed.

"I guess you are worthy of beign the Ultimate Gamer after all, Joshua. I am Toxic. As you can see, I am a fighter who wants to free this planet. But, we may have some difficulty..." Toxic sighed.

"...Okay...Go on inside. There's somewhere you can rest..."

As Toxic walked inside, Joshua heard his voice.

"Hey! Who's this chick?!"

Joshua raced inside after him.

"No flirting!"

Toxic groaned.

Meanwhile...

"So, you think you can simply make me accept your offer?! You are a fool! You will find out why, I Veneon exist!"

With a simple, sloid movement, he drew his sword and slashed the guard in half. His blood dripped down the wall and an alarm sounded.

"(-). Might have company." Veneon sighed.

He ran out of the room and found guards rushing at him with guns. With a simple slash of his blade, a beam erupted from it, cleanly slicing them into pieces. Robbing thier bodies, he found a few Mega-Plasma guns and raced to his motor bike. He looked like Zack, out of Final Fantasy VII, but this was no game, and soon, he would realise an awful truth...

Chapter 4

"So, Toxic...Could you fill us in about your life?" Joshua asked.

"..."

"Okay...If I explain why I ended up here, will you tell us?" Aisha asked, winking at Toxic.

Toxic instantly nodded, anxious to hear about Aisha's adventures before she arrived at Gaming Force.

"It started on a rainy night...and I was all alone...I was only six years old at the time, when a weird creature came up to me and shook with cold. I took care of it, and feed it. When I turned 10, it seemed to change and it grew wings...The creature spoke to me, saying 'You are pure of heart...your will be free from darkness...'. Then, two wings sprouted out of my back!" Aisha explained.

"Sounds like you were an angel to it..." Toxic said.

Aisha nodded.

"I guess so...Anyway...I was instantly found by people who thought I was a freak of nature, and planned to lock me away...until Joshua came and rescued me..." Aisha said.

Aisha snuggled up against Joshua who instantly turned a bright red while Seb laughed and Toxic growled. Joshua moved and Aisha fell on the couch.

"Okay...Now, you can explain..." Joshua groaned.

"So...It...ah...(-) it! All I remember is fighting in this battle...It was a in a place of shadows...where a dark master almost turned me from the light. He got me good though, and my body was filled with toxic chemicals...I would've died, if it weren't my ability to manipulate the poison, and use it as a weapon..." Toxic said.

"...Cool story..." Joshua laughed.

Meanwhile...

"You failed to get Veneno to join us?! Then so be it! If he will not join us, eliminate him. He must not be allowed to join Gaming Force! Even though they have finacial difficulty, since I control who has the money, they can still convince him! All troops! Destroy them! Jessi! Lead them! You will defeat my brother, Joshua and bring him here alive, before I crush him..." Dakoda yelled.


Veneno was racing through the busy streets of the metropolois, dodging and weaving through cars and the S.P.I.K.E troops after him. He twirled his two Mega-Plasma Guns and lashed them to the exaughst. He fiddled with the triggers and as he accelerated, the triggers were pushed, releasing a wave of plasma energy. Explosions erupted everywhere and he was thrown forward, his bike smashed into a enemy car and exploded, which Veneno landed safely and saw a huge, rundown part of the city. He ran towards it, knowing he didn't have much time....

Chapter 5

Venono had finally managed to avoid the S.P.I.K.E troops by concealing himself in the shadows. He limped over to the ledge of the platform and leaned on his walking stick.

"...That is the last time I do running for a while...I guess it was lucky I didn't collapse because of the lack of muscle in my leg...but...why does S.P.I.K.E want aid from a fighter like me? After the events that just took place, I'm probably going to be hunted down..." he sighed, sitting down on a old, dusty chair.

It seemed to hold his weight, until a newspaper hit him in the face and he flinched, causing the chair to break into pieces of wood. Cursing for a few seconds, he picked up the newspaper and found it was dated back at least a year ago. He unfolded it and read the title page.

"Saved...heh...probably doesn't mean anything back then. The world is still in chaos. I might as well keep reading..." he laughed.

"A young band of heroes, called Dragon Force changed thier name to Gaming Force, after thier powers they inherited from the video game dimension...and to avoid copyright with a game produced by Sega..."

He stopped reading and looked around. No-one was in sight and he kept reading.

"Of course, these kids were harshly chased from the city, called freaks of nature, and unable to save the world from the state it is in now. Leader of the force, is a young boy the age of 15 named Joshua. His Dna which was captured from a piece of his hair, boggles scientists as they found out that none of them age at all. Wether this is true, we will find out..." he said, finishing the artical.

He turned the page over and smiled.

"...(-)...nothing else. Okay...If this 'Gaming Force' really exists, I'm going to track them down. After all, they probably know more about S.P.I.K.E than I do!" Venono yelled.

He slowly made his way outside and saw a lone motorcycle. He found a tracking device, and smashed it. He started the engine, and drove of into the distance.

Jessi watched from the shadows and smiled evily. She drew her communicator and a hologram of Dakoda appeared.

"Good news, Dakoda. The fool has gone for the bait. Now all we do is simply follow him. By the time he reaches the base, the bike will detonate. However, before it does, it will transfer the coordinates directly to us." Jessi explained.

"Excellent...Everything is going ahead as planned...now...we must interogate one of thier friends...a old flame of Joshua's...a girl named...Amy Hart..." Dakoda laughed.

"Yes, master."

Chapter 6

As the moon finally rose over the city, Joshua looked up at the dark sky. Stars were no longer glowing with thier radiant light. Everything that was once full of life, was now mechanical. Humans had robotic parts replacing thier weak ones, made of flesh and bone. People were no longer themselves. And each of them had more than one dark secret. Some they knew, and kept to themselves, others were unaware of the dark past they had.

Joshua, even though he was a hero, a warrior of light, darkness had once taken a grip on his very life, controlling him until he was saved by his friends.

"It was so long ago. When I returned from the darkness...I thought I would never be able to harness the power of light again...but now, I am a full-fleged hero. There is only one person who has light and darkness inside them...and that's Seb...He was under Dakoda's control...until he met us. He couldn't kill us, because we defeated him. Wanting to have the power that he desired, to defeat us, he joined us on our quest...even when Dakoda attacked, Seb had changed and claimed he was his own master, not someone's puppet..." Joshua said.

"Yeah...That's right..." Seb said, appearing behind him.

"...Then you went on your own, because you were called by something. Your parents...they told you they were proud of you...but they said darkness still was in your heart. You continued to use both light and dark, becoming a powerful warrior. I guess that's why you're capable of..."


"There was another girl that following you...right? You really liked each other. But, something happened. She was killed in the last battle before we could go home. There was nothing we could do. She couldn't be buried, and she..." Seb started.

"DON'T talk about her. Please. Don't remind me of the mistake I made." Joshua groaned.

Suddenly, everything went in a red haze and Seb vanished from sight. He was gone. But Joshua felt a headache, growing stronger until he fell to his knees in pain. The suffering was unbareable and he let out a cry of anguish and pain. Everything went dark...

As he came to, he was surrounded by black walls. Everything was shrouded in darkness...laughter...heartless laughter echoed through the room and Joshua was face to face with a dark figure. The long, grey hair and the suit of a criminal...Assassin Aharon...

"So, you return to the memories that you once had? Fool. Before you killed me in the battle that cost me everything, I transfered my remaning power to your mind. This dimension represents your memories, and I'll destroy them, everytime you try to recover some important memory, it will be gone...and you will not stop me..."

Assasin Aharon drew his sword. It's dark, silver glow struck fear into Joshua's heart, but he braced himself and began to fight. His twin swords clashed against Aharon's, but there was a wave of darkness, and Joshua was flung back. He lay on the ground, stunned.

Leaping to his feet, his blades circled around him and they hurled themselves at Assasin Aharon. He mearly laughed off the attack and threw the blades back. Direct hit. Joshua fell to the ground, blood was dripping from his wounds as he held his stomach.

"Foolish boy. You know that you can't defeat me, now...You will...SUFFER!"

Chapter 7

Assasin Aharon charged up an aura around his sword and body, then leapt into the air. The darkness seemed to close in on Joshua, pushing into him, causing constant damage, and Joshua gasped for breath. With a simple swipe of his blade, Joshua was thrown backwards, and looked down at himself. His arm had a bleeding stump at the end of it, where his hand once was.

"Just because this seems like a dream...it's quite real. Now...do you surrender?"

Joshua got his feet, clutching his arm and shook his head.

"Stubborn to the end...poor fool...Heh...Looks like I'll finish you now..."

With a simple leap, he became doubled. Then, both of the copies multiplied until Joshua was surrounded by millions of Assasin Aharons.

With a simple slash, all of the Assasin Aharons began slashing towards Joshua, hitting him, wounding him severly. Before he fell, a golden aura surrounded him and he vanished.

"(-)...I was close to killing him...No matter...He'll pay later..." Aharon laughed.

As Joshua returned to reality, something was wrong...his hand was no longer there. Aharon was right. All of the wounds he had sustained...were real...

Painfully getting to his feet, he quickly found himself discovered by a dark figure, approaching him.

"D-(-) it..." he said, collapsing into unconciousness.

Chapter 8 & 9

"I sometimes wonder why I stand in this world of darkness...People say I'm a beacon of light, leading the way...but so many people ave fallen into the foul darkness they once hated, embracing it. I know there was another girl...she was...young...and had a crush...on...me..." Joshua started, trying to remember.

He formed a picture in his mind. Purple hair, green eyes...yellow overalls on pink clothes. They had known each over since she turned eleven. By now, she was probably fifteen.

"E...E...(-)...I can't think of her name...all I remember is...she didn't want to be alone...I tried to understand her, but when Aisha started to have crush on me and decided that I had to choose who to love...I just became a person who stopped caring about romance and all that junk..." Joshua sighed.

In reality...

"Pysically, he's badly hurt...mentally however, his brain is functioning perfectly. All body systems are operating."

"...He's fine...Phew...I thought I was going to lose Joshua for good!" Aisha sighed with relief.

"...Aisha. He isn't exactly in love with anyone. He probably likes that over girl..." Zac whispered.

"What?! You mean that kid...E...E...what's her name again?" Aisha asked.

Joshua's mind...

"I hear them...they're talking about that other girl..."

Joshua put his hand in his backpack. He felt a weird object and pulled it out to see it. It looked a jewel, but it was hanging by a small chain. He looked around it, finding something engraved on it.

"For Joshua..."

Joshua turned the jewel and a small piece of paper fell out. He snatched it and started to read.

"Joshua...I always remember the day you saved me...from that monster...I want to let you know that I think you're the cutest boy I've ever meet...but...I wonder if you like me more than a friend...I was too afraid to tell you this myself, but I wanted to say that I love you...Please, I hope you understand...I don't wanna be alone anymore...Signed...The name's been erased..." Joshua sighed.

"EIKO! That's her name! Eiko!" Joshua heard.

"Eiko...? You mean that girl that summons Carnbuncle? I remember her now..."

Joshua and Eiko were sitting in front of a lake. They were skipping a few rocks across the water before they returned to the bench they were sitting on. The sun was slowly going down over the lake, creating a dazzling reflection in the water.

"Umm...Eiko? You're..."

Joshua looked over to see Eiko leaning on his shoulder. Tired.

"I'm really sleepy...I think...I'll..."

Joshua looked out at the lake and saw the moon had started to rise. Something felt weird though. He felt something. He looked down to see Eiko, wrapping her arms around Joshua.

"I weally...wike...you..." Eiko muttered, sleeptalking.

Joshua went a bright red and decided that he'd let Eiko sleep...

"I wonder where she is now..." Joshua muttered.

Light suddenly poured in through the darkness, and Joshua looked up, seeing everyone looking down at him.

"Hi..."

Chapter 10

"I guess you've finally awoken. I'm the guy who saved you earlier. Name's Venoen, and you must be that 'legendary hero' who save the Earth millions of times." he mocked.

"Very funny. Why do you think this building is here? We ARE real, we DID save the world and I don't need your stupid adittuide. If you've got anything important to say, do it now."

Venoen leaned on his walking cane and showed Joshua a movie of what he did to the S.P.I.K.E troops that tried to convince him to join S.P.I.K.E.

"I want to destroy them as much as you do, but it's suicide for one person to do alone. So I read this article...it told me about what you guys have done." he explained.

"Hey, Venoen! It's me! Toxic!" he yelled.

"Get lost kid. One, I don't know you, and two, I'm in the middle of an important discussion with this kid called Joshua! Besides, if you let me join, I can pinpoint you to that girl you were muttering about in your sleep." Venoen offered.

"Eiko...Alright. You better hope you don't betray us, or else."

"Don't you remember me at all?! I was that kid who was at that mercanary place! You remember! The kid who worked with you as an apprentice for a while?"

"Oh, Toxic. You're not so whiney now as you were then..."

After the introductions, they started preparing for training...

Meanwhile...At S.P.I.K.E headquaters...

"Ah...Eiko. Our little friend...Do you know why you are here?" Dakoda asked.

"Because...I summoned Madden on all of the Gamma Squad?" Eiko laughed

"Actually, that's one of the reasons...now...you're going to tell me everything about your boyfriend, before I decide to slice you into ribbons..." Dakoda threatened.

"You're bluffing. You know I'm too valuable to be killed. Why don't you give up? Joshua and his friends will come and rescue me soon enough..." Eiko retorted.

"Foolish girl...Are you that desperate to see your boyfriend? If so, I'll let you go if you tell me everything about him."

"You don't even know your own brother?! That's sad!" Eiko laughed.

"You little..."

"Enough, Dakoda. I shall take over from here...Let someone who is a master of darkness show you how to torture her..."

"Silly boys!"

Eiko started to make her hands glow, a white beam of light erupted from them, knocking Dakoda and his master to the ground.

"You let her escape!" Dakoda yelled.

"Not really. She's going to find Joshua and lead us to him...when she gets there, Joshua will be torn between the two girls, and..."

Chapter 11

As Venoen left for his own quarters, he bumped into Toxic. It wasn't long before the two had started to talk about old times and things they had did in the past. Blowing up old organizations, performing assassination attempts and other things.

"You ever wonder why we exist sometimes? Do you ever think that you have some great destiny in front of you? Why is it, that the forces of light try to make the world better, but the forces of darkness claim to do that too…everyone has to find their way through their own darkness…" Joshua thought to himself, listening to Toxic and Venoen from a distance.

Meanwhile, in Aisha's room…

"Joshua…When Eiko comes here, your going to have to choose…I don't understand why we're fighting over you…I want to be with you! Eiko's not even from this planet! Even though she's from Gaia, which was in the Video Dimension, and she ended up coming back with us…sometimes…I wish you didn't save her…" Aisha said, crying to herself.

"Why was I created? Why do I have to suffer these burdens?!" Joshua yelled.

Zac's room…

"Joshua's too trusting…he doesn't even know the past of those weird guys who joined us. I don't get it. HE gets the girls! Who do I get?! No-one…except someone back in the other dimension…the Chaos Emeralds altered her Dna, transforming her into a human…" Zac started.

Seb's room.

"This doesn't make sense…how can the Chaos Emeralds re-arrange one's Dna? All I've found is that its powers can do things to one's who can't handle them properly. Either they can use them, or they get transformed so they can use their power…all of us managed to endure it, because we came from this dimension, but I still need more proof…Villains coming from the darkness and into the light…like Dr. Neo Cortex. He was a friend of Joshua's…" Seb said, checking through his research notes.

"Joshua…I hope you're ready to die…" a voice echoed through his mind.

Something was coming. And before Joshua could alert the others, it had smashed through the wall into the room where Toxic and Venoen were talking. Their weapons drawn, the three of them raced outside to see a creation of S.P.I.K.E…

Chapter...12 & 13

The robot lunged at them. But unknown to them, a dark warrior was controlling the cyborg, but it seemed hesitant to strike at Joshua though.

"I want him alive! Kill his companions!" the warrior thought.

As the machine seemed to take damage from thier fierce attacks, Zac and Seb came running into the fray. Before they had a chance however, the robot shimmered and exploded, sending debris at them.

"Ugh..." Zac groaned.

The figure who was controlling the robot laughed and drew a dark sword. Before anyone could react, he lunged at Joshua. It missed and Zac charged at him, but before his attack hit, the sword was thrust back, stabbing Zac straight in the chest. Blood splattered over the wall and ground, creating a crimsion stain.

"ZAC!" Joshua yelled in horror.

"You are the one I want. The darkness flows inside you, not that pathetic brother of yours."

With a swing of his sword, everyone except Joshua was frozen in time.

"Come, join me...and accept the darkness!"

"...Never. Scum like you who try to hurt my friends don't deserve to live..." Joshua angrily threatened.

"See?" The villain smiled evily. "Your anger is already giving you power. And...that is no way to treat someone like...ME!"

With a simple motion, the villain flung his cape and cloak, revealing a black haired man, a scar across his face and red eyes. His hand was a mechanical claw and he looked like a war general back in mediaval times.

"No...You dirty !^%$@!#&!" Joshua yelled angrily.

"Hah...I knew your reaction towards me would be a good one, after all, you should despise the one who abandoned you!"

"My own father...a ultimate warrior of darkness...I should've know..."

With that said, Joshua lunged at his father with a frenzy of attacks. His brother was dying, his heart was breaking and everything wasn't right!

"Fool. Even if you win...the darkness will devour your soul!"

"..."

Joshua continued, but all of his attacks were blocked. Before he knew it, he was attacked with such fury, his father decided to end it. With a simple slash, Joshua felt a sharp pain and his hand was gone.

"Don't make me kill you..."

Joshua leapt into the air and was cut down. He fell against the wall.

"I guess I win. I'll spare you...for now..."

As Joshua lay on the ground, bleeding, he saw his brother, fatally wounded and dying. Painfully getting to his feet and staggering over to Zac, he looked at the deep wound.

"...I...I'm...gonna...die...So..." Zac groaned in pain.

Joshua grimaced at the amount of damage the attack Zac had sustained. If he was a normal person, it would have killed him instantly.

"Joshua...The...light...it's...growing...brighter.. ." Zac swallowed.

Everyone was racing to Joshua's side

"Zac...My brother...why did you do that?!" Joshua yelled in anger and sorrow.

"...Because...Our Dad...he was going...to kill you...he wanted...to kill us...all...and I..." Zac started.

"Relax. We're going to get you healed. We're not going to let one of our own die like this!" Joshua assured him.

"Joshua...You...can't...stop...my death...now...defeat...Dakoda...and Dad...so I won't...die in...vain..." Zac coughed.

Rain started to pour down heavily. As it landed on everyone, Zac smiled as he saw something.

"Tell...the...girl...who...I...helped...through...h er...sorrow...I...loved her...and...Joshua...I...will always...watch...over...you..from..the...light..." Zac sighed.

With that, his blue eyes lost thier bright spark and they closed. Joshua hugged Zachary and gently placed him down on the ground. His only brother who walked in the light like him...now he was dead. Joshua started to cry.

"Joshua...I'm sorry...It must be hard to lose someone..." Seb started.

Joshua stopped crying and angrily drew his swords.

"How would you know and why would you care?! You don't have any family! You don't have anyone to lose! You haven't suffered the life I have! Your parents didn't abandon you! You were from a rich, healthy family you spoilt brat!" Joshua yelled at Seb.

"Joshua?!"

"You should all learn...you are no good babysitting brats! But...I'm the biggest fool of all...I could have saved him...and you just all disgust me!"

Joshua's eyes started to change into black. His body was slowly beign surrounded by an aura of darkness.

"You'll...all PAY!"

Joshua thrust his swords into the air, before he brought them smashing into the ground. Everyone else watched in shock, as beams of purple energy erupted beneath them, engulfing them in a shpere of darkness. Racing up to it, Joshua shattered it with his swords, instantly causing everyone to fly into a wall, knocked unconcious.

Coming to his senses, realising what he did. He knew he could not change the past...so, with his sadness, and darkness inside him, he raced of into the depths of the city, where he remained...

"Joshua's gone...We have to find him! If he goes over to S.P.I.K.E...we're all goners..." Veneno groaned, getting to his feet.

"Not a good idea. If he's still angry at us, he will." Sen groaned, clutching his side.

Chapter 14.

"...I've lost everything...my sanity...my brother...my friends...is this how it's supposed to be?! Lost in darkness?! And...I'm all...alone..." Joshua yelled, slicing at an old statue.

"...Joshua..."

Joshua span around at the voice. So familiar, it sounded like an angel.

"Eiko?"

She ran up to Joshua and hugged him. Joshua went a bright red and turned away.

"It's been so long...we haven't seen each over for at least a few years! You've grown up from the young teenager I knew..." Joshua sighed.

"Joshua...I've missed you...but why are you so sad? You have friends, you have your brother..." Eiko started.

"...He's dead. My father killed him while he was trying to save me..." Joshua said quickly.

Eiko looked at Joshua's face. It was filled with sorrow and she sat down beside him, wrapping her arms around him.

"I know he tried to save you...because he knew that you were the leader of everyone, he wanted to save you. He knew you had to live..."

"Eiko...Can't you do something?" Joshua asked.

"...If I could get Aisha to help me after we beat S.P.I.K.E...we might be able to bring him back...we might not. We have to hope..." Eiko said.

"How do you know?"

"Because...the power of light is stronger than you think...and...your friends want to help you..."

"Eiko...Thank you..." Joshua said, a tear falling from his eye.

Rain continued to fall and Joshua looked outside as the weather started to get worse. After agreeing to go back the next day to explain everything, they began to talk.

"So...how did you manage to find me?" Joshua asked in a curious tone.

Eiko showed Joshua a necklace that he gave her a long time ago.

"Remember? When the jewel grows red, you'll know my heart will be near yours...You said that to me when we were younger."

Joshua nodded.

^My past hasn't always been filled with happiness...now...I don't even know if I'm a hero of light, or a minion of the darkness...^ Joshua thought.

"And until now...you've wanted me to keep these safe..." Eiko said.

She took of her backpack and something let out a bright flash. It was all seven of the Video Crystals.

"You made me promise to look after them...for some reason, Dakoda couldn't find them. I guess we were lucky...Why aren't you happy?" Eiko asked.

"Because...I can't simply turn into my alter ego! I haven't used the power of the Ultimate Gamer since the Great Gigatron...and I almost lost you..." Joshua said.

"...Could we spend tonight together, like old times? I want to be a couple again..." Eiko whispered in Joshua's ear.

Joshua's face lit up and nodded.

"Okay. Aisha's already starting to fall for Toxic anyway...I guess we can spend one night together...but I like you as a friend, nothing more..." Joshua said.

"..."

That wasn't entirely the case. Joshua did secretly love Eiko. But dislpaying emotions towards her could cause them grave danger...or ending up becoming married and being parents too.
Waiting patiently for Eiko get changed, Joshua walked outside and up at the sky. A beam of light seemed to shine down.

"Zac. I will bring you back...after this is all over...I promise. I won't let the one you care about know about this sorrow..." Joshua muttered.

The light glowed brighter, then vanished.

"He'll always watch over me...so...he can guide me through the darkness...even when my friends have left me..." Josua said to himself.

Before he could walk inside, however, he felt a sharp pain in his head and collapsed to the ground...

Chapter 16

Gaming Force HQ...

"So, everything is running smoothly in the Video Dimension...Robotnik's signed a treaty, agreeing that he will un-robotize everything...all of the Final Fantasy characters have managed to rebuild thier world after the Great Gigatron, and Dr Neo Cortex has almost designed a way for all of them to warp through the dimensions to get to Earth!" Seb explained from the transmissions he had recieved.

"So, everything's finally cooled down. The villains have joined the side of light...except for Cortex who was helping us out since the start. So, all we have to do is wait til they get here. They are really keen to see what type of place Earth is..." Aisha thought.

"..."

"Anything else that we should know?" Veneno asked.

"Nah...We didn't report about Zac's death. Aisha claims there might be a way to revive him. We'll have to wait and see..." Seb started.

The communicator instantly shimmered and Joshua's face instantly appeared.

"...Hey guys...I guess sorry doesn't quite mean it about what I did awhile ago..." Joshua sighed.

"You're (-) right! You've got some nerve..." David started.

"Shut up." Seb replied instantly to David's comment, causing him to go quiet.

"Well...As you can see, I'm perfectly healthy, and guess who I found?" Joshua said, motioning to a figure behind him.

Eiko came into view, wearing a white dress. Her hair was still it's radiant purple and she smiled.

"Woah...She's hot..." Toxic started.

Aisha slapped him.

"You do remember we are going out...right?" she glared at Toxic.

Toxic started to sweat and laughed casually.

"O-Of course!" he grinned.

"I intend on returning soon. If I can just have a download of recent info that's happened, I'll get moving." Joshua said.

There was a few seconds of transmitting, and Joshua pressed a few buttons on his watch, causing the reports to come into view.

"Thanks. I'll be back soon!" Joshua nodded, ending the transmission.

"Joshua...I hope you're happy with Eiko...because...I like Toxic more..." Aisha thought, nuzzling against him.

"A-Aisha..." Toxic stammered, going a bright red while everyone laughed.

Chapte 17

As Joshua showed Eiko around the city, she was kind of disappointed. The date so far ws kind of boring. There was nothing fun to do at all. She finally looked up at Joshua and said.

"Mind if we go somewhere I want to go to?"

Joshua just nodded in agreement. Anywhere would be better than what they were doing now. Before he knew it, they were both floating in mid-air before they vanished. Everything seemed to go by in a rainbow haze of colors before they landed in Madain Sari, village of the summoners.

"Huh?! How did we get here?!" Joshua yelled in surprise.

"I always can come home when I'm lonely...it's changed since we came here last..."

"Care to show me around?" Joshua asked.

Eiko nodded happily.

Seeing all of the moogles started to make Joshua dizzy. Finally, after it started to get dark, Eiko and her moogles told Joshua to wait outside while they got dinner ready. Time seemed to drift slowly as Joshua looked up at the cloudy sky.

"So many memories...returning to where they belong..." Joshua said.

To his surprise, something was coming from over the horizon. He focused and realised it was just an airship flying overhead. He sighed and waited. Finally a moogle told Joshua dinner was ready and started to walk back.

"...I can't mess this up...I just want him to love me..." Eiko whispered.

As the meal was placed in front of them, Joshua looked down happily at the meal.

"PIZZA!"

Joshua quickly ate a slice and happily smiled. After the meal was finished, Joshua raced up to Eiko and hugged her.

"That was SO good! I haven't had pizza like that for years! Thank you Eiko!" Joshua said happily.

Eiko suggested that they should go for a walk by themselves. Making sure no-one was following them, Eiko sat down on the bench in front of the ocean. As the stars started to shine, Joshua looked over at her.

"Eiko...I...I want to say something..." Joshua said, nervously.

"...Joshua...Are you okay? You're blushing."

Joshua turned towards Eiko and sighed.

"Eiko. I might as well tell you this now, before I find it too hard to get off my chest later...the truth is...all along, I've been in love with you, snd not Aisha. You're the only one who's always been beside me through these adventures...from start to finish...I remember everything that we did togther...and you...don't have to be alone anymore...because...I will always be beside you." Joshua said.

He looked at Eiko's eyes, shining bright before he kissed her gently. They reluctantly pulled apart and looked at each other.

"I...I...Joshua...I thought you said you only liked me as a friend."

"Well...I didn't want you to know until now. Any earlier could've been dangerous to either of us. And I want to protect you. Because...you mean everything to me, Eiko. And I couldn't afford to lose you..." Joshua said quietly.

"Joshua..."

"Heh...I guess you want to yell at me now, for not telling you earlier..." Joshua said, bracing himself.

"No...I'm just so happy...I thought I would always be alone..." Eiko sobbed, breaking into tears.

Joshua hugged her, until she dried her tears and looked up at Joshua.

"I want to be with you too...please..."

"Okay...Just close your eyes and hold out your hand..."

Eiko waited as she felt something warm slide over her finger. It felt smooth and when she opened her eyes, she was looking down at a ring.

"Joshua..."

She hugged him, before she started to cry.

Chapter 18

At S.P.I.K.E HQ...

"So, are the preperations ready? We need to create this cyborg now!" Dakoda yelled

With a few quick movements, a robot was finished, and power was flowing through the room at a dangerous speed. Bottles of liquid broke, walls shattered while the cyborg moved it's fingers.

"Excellent...The plan is complete...and Assassin Aharon lives again!" Dakoda yelled with glee.

"Scum. Your first mistake was releasing me from the shadows...and now, I will defeat you, your father and brothers!" Aharon yelled, drawing his Mamasamune.

"Idiot."

With a click of his fingers, Aharon fell to the ground.

"We control you. Once your purpose is fufilled, you'll be destroyed..." Dakoda muttered.

"FOOLS! I, ASSASSIN AHARON WILL TRIUMPH!"

Before Dakoda could respond, Aharon leapt into the air and dark beams of energy rushed into his body as his eyes to a dark red.

"Mwahahaha... Dark Ultima Masher!"

A huge purple dome enveloped the headquaters, causing it to start to explode. Debris flew everywhere, and Dakoda and his father looked in horror as Assassin Aharon walked towards them, his eyes glowing.

"You...will obey...me..."

They nodded.

"Good...Now, if you watch...this..."

With a thrust of his hands, missile turrets rose out of the ground and pointed upwards into the sky.

"What are you doing?!"

"Destroying Joshua, and Madain Sari...that place, and that Ultimate Gamer...is a threat..."

The computer quickly brought up the coordinates, and the missiles were unleasehed, firing through the night sky, gaining speed until they finally tore through the gap seperating the dimensions. At Madain Sari, it had reached daybreak. Joshua was awoken by a loud noise, which shook the ground. Eiko, who had been leaning against him, asleep, fell to the ground.

"Ow...What's happening...?" Eiko asked, rubbing her head.

She looked at Joshua, who saw the missiles heading down at rapid speed.

"Monster capsules...So, S.P.I.K.E decided to try and wipe us out with simple monsters..." Joshua muttered

Millions of monsters instantly appeared, surrounding Joshua and Eiko. Figthing thier way out, they found there were too many of them to handle. Eventually, they were closing in.

"Joshua..."

"Eiko?"

"Run!"

They charged through a few ranks of the enemy monsters, before they were stopped, the ones in the further ranks were a lot larger and too strong for them to be toppled.

"Any other ideas?" Eiko asked.

Joshua reached into his backpack and his hand found something. A rope. Tying one of his swords to each of the ends, he hurled it into the distance and it planted firmly into the ground. Finding them trapped, they used the rope to cause the monsters to fall over. Joshua pulled the rope, and the sword came flying back. Grabbing the middle of the rope, he looked in his backpack again, finding a large, steel rod, about a few meters in length, Joshua slashed the rope and lashed his swords tightly to each end. Lifting the rod above his head, he began to spin it until it was a large blur, slicing through all of the monsters. Unfourtantly, the plan shortly failed after the some of the smaller monsters attacked.

"This can't be good..." Eiko muttered.

Joshua lay, exaughsted. Eiko shed a tear from her eye and looked at the monsters.

"Forgive me,Joshua...But, you have to live...I want...you to be happy...and to do that...I have to let you go...goodbye..."

Chapter 18 (cont)

Eiko quicky reached for her flute and began to play a short, simple tune. It had no effect until she was floating a few inchs of the ground. Her hair band she wore, broke, causing her long hair to flow down her back. White light started to shine around her, and Joshua's eyes slowly opened.

"E-Eiko?"

The light around Eiko started to grow larger until it became a pillar of white, expanding until everything was enveloped by it. The light slowly died down, until Joshua saw nothing was left. All that was there was a single creature which made it's way to Joshua, standing before him.

"What have you done with Eiko?!" Joshua stammered.

Although it looked harmless, he thought it could do great harm. Joshua raced up to the monster and slashed right through it. Letting out a loud roar, it fell to the ground. Joshua looked around. No sign of Eiko. But something was floating in front of him.

Chapter 19

"Dakoda! What are you doing here?!" Joshua yelled in anger.

"...Fool. I presume you don't realise what you've done..." Dakoda muttered.

Joshua looked at Dakoda with a confused look.

"I came here to capture Aisha. Since that other brat, Eiko escaped. She refused to do my bidding when she was my prisoner, and now, I need someone to replace that bratty girl..."

"For what reason?" Joshua cautiously asked.

"Do you ever wonder why the planet is shrouded in darkness? It is because, in Earth's orbit, is my greatest creation, the S.P.I.K.E space station! On board it, over half a million of my troops, ready to overwhelm the Video Dimension, and conquer these miserable planets...and don't worry about Earth, as soon as I capture Aisha, I'll blast it with the Great Giga Blaster! Killing millions, and the planet...Do you know why, I need either Aisha or Eiko?" Dakoda asked.

"...Why?"

"Because, to power the cannon, I need someone who's human...but not of the planet Earth. Eiko and Aisha, are the perfect subjects. When I couldn't force Eiko to submit, I decided she was of no use to me and altered her Dna. When she used the attack, she uses most of her enegry to..."

"What?! WHAT DID YOU DO TO EIKO?!" Joshua yelled in anger.

"It's not what I have done, but what YOU have, brother! Do you realise the monster you slayed?! It was harmless, and in your fear, you killed it!"

"..."

"Do you realise this? Or you afraid to admit it? I will explain it in a way your pathetic brain can understand. The creature of light you slayed is none other than the girl you swore to protect! Despite turning into the creature you saw, she still thought of you, Joshua. Look at what you have done!"

"...No..."

Joshua looked over at the creature. It slowly started to transform into Eiko.

"She was a like an angel. Like Aisha, she had the power to allow the Great Giga Blaster to be used!!!"

"YOU MONSTER!"

"Relax. I've given her enough strength to say good-bye. Since I'm that kind..."

Joshua raced to Eiko's side.

"J....Joshua...He...tricked...me...and...I transformed...into that form...so I could save you...I'm...sorry..." Eiko painfully admitted.

"...I'm the one who should've known about this...then...you...wouldn't have...Tell....Aisha...my sister..."

"Your sister?! But..."

"We had to be seperated...otherwise...we would've...been captured...and this world...would...not exist...Joshua..." Eiko sighed.

With that, her eyes lost thier bright, purple glow and closed. Her hand unfolded while holding Joshua's and she lay still.

"Eiko...Don't go...Please...I have so much...Eiko...Answer me...I don't want to lose you too..." Joshua whispered, tears forming in his eyes.

"EIIIIIKKKOOOOO!!!!"

Maniacal laughter was heard behind him.

"You always were soft..."

"YOU! YOU BLACKHEARTED MONSTER!!!"

Joshua slashed at Dakoda who simply blocked it.

"Fool. I, am now invincible...with Assassin Aharon leading the way, I am invuneralble, and soon, there will be nothing but darkness! In the end, you will fall..." Dakoda muttered, vanishing.

Joshua fell besides Eiko's body, and tears flowed from his eyes. His love was gone, and his chance to bring Zac back. Without Eiko's powers...

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Joshua let out a loud yell and began to slash things that got in his way, rocks, trees, until he was exaughsted, and his twin swords were broken...

Chapter 19.2 (sheesh, these chapters have to be smaller...)

Suddenly, a see-through figure appeared before him. An old friend.

"D-Dower!"

"Surprised to see me? We haven't spoken for at least a year!"

"That would be that you had to stay at Courscant, rebuilding the Jedi Temple. Everything seems well where you are....I wish I could say the same..." Joshua muttered.

"I already know about everything. Trust me, soon enough, things will get better soon enough. I'm only ninteen. And I'm already a teacher, a jedi master and still managed to play Star Wars on my labtop..."

"...You've always been ninteen, and everyone refers to you as MR. Dower, what's up with that?" Joshua asked.

"Well...It should be Sir Dower, only...there was a slight mess-up in the ceremony when I was knighted. The queen accidently said Mr, even though I was only seventeen, and the name stuck, That's why...now, can we get back to the matter at hand?" Dower asked.

Joshua nodded.

"Right...Eiko...and...Zac..." Joshua sighed.

"Things aren't always as bad as they seem. I know. I don't fear the dark-side like other jedi, I've experianced both sides, and both sides have given me a extensive view on the light and dark. I know that even though your heart my be consumed by hatred, as long as you see light, you will not fall completly." Dower explained.

"...So does that mean Eiko could be..."

"She exists in your memories. Remember her, and you will see her again...soon. As long as you have hope, the Gameboy Jewels that give you power, will never lose thier power."

The Gameboy Jewels instantly lit up, causing the jewels to regain thier color. They floated into the air and landed into Joshua's hands. The fragments of his swords instantly came back together. His anscestor's sword glowed brillantly.

Chapter 20

"I have to do something..."

Joshua lifted Eiko's body and walked towards an empty area. If it was where he thought the area was, and since he was in the Video Dimension...

"J-Wing! To me!"

It was silent for a few seconds, before a large space ship descended from the sky. The clouds parted and a large shadow appeared on the ground before Joshua. It was at least 30 meters in length, and about 14 in height. The ship looked small on the ouside, and had no wings on the sides. It had a slight resemblance to the Z-95 Headhunter. Climbing aboard, things hadn't changed since he last piloted his ship. He lay Eiko gently down on a bed, and headed straight for the command deck.

"Welcome, Master Joshua Lightwalker. You have been absent for one year, seventy days, seventeen hours and forty-five minutes." a droid called.

"Hey, Commander Alpha...Prepare the troops. We're going to be fighting again...and I need all robots on stand by. Have the uprgrades been applied that I gave them?" Joshua asked.

"Affirmative. The robot's now have a greater variation of possiblities. They can now communicate clearly, understand feelings, they are almost human." Alpha replied.

"..."

"Master?"

"I...It's nothing...I've just been...a bit shaken up lately..." Joshua explained.

"You're feeling...sorrow? I assume, Master?"

"...Yeah...Could you pilot the J-Wing? I...I need some time on my own..." Joshua sighed.

Alpha nodded.

"Affirmative. When we have reached Earth, you will be notified..."

As Joshua made his way through his space-ship, sorrow washed over all of his emotions. He had lost his brother, his love...so many lives had been lost. Finally, he entered the room where Eiko lay.

"Huh? She's gone?" Joshua wondered, the bed empty.

Nothing seemed right anymore. How did she disappear without...

"AGH!"

Joshua grabbed his head and everything went into a haze of white. As the images of reality started to blur and vanish, everything started to change. Trees, flowers, a beautiful large, lake. Just like...

Chapter 20.2

"Like on Mobius? I'm glad you remembered, Joshua."

Joshua turned around to find himself looking at Eiko.

"Y-You're alive!" Joshua gasped.

"...Yes...But, I can't come back to you...you see, things have become dangerous...returning to the world of reality would prove very risky. I can't come back to you...I'm sorry. I wanted to be with you...Joshua..." Eiko sighed.

"...Eiko, when do I have to return to reality?"

"...Soon. The power to bring you here brings pain...We'll have to let each other go...Because...we...we...can't be together..." Eiko explained.

Joshua looked around at the surroundings in disbelief. Soon, everything would be gone, and Eiko what Eiko had said...

"Our love should never have happened. We walk different paths, and have different destinies. You are to face Aharon, Dakoda and your father, and restore light to the world...I...I must watch over you and the dimension from which I was born into...for now..." Eiko painfully explained, tears in her eyes.

"You can see the future...while you are here? What is my..."

"Aisha...my sister...is she well?"

"...Yes. She's currently dating that guy who flirts all the time...uh...Toxic. I remember when he tried to battle me, he ended up humiliating himself. Meh, he's got potential though. Aisha's better off with him anyway. They're a perfect match...me...I was always a loner. I saved Aisha and you, because I knew it was the right thing to do. I couldn't just leave you both there..."

"Joshua...Can you..."

"?"

"I want you...to be happy," Eiko started, tears falling from her cheeks.

"I know you won't die of age...but..."

"Joshua...You are powerful...and fighting off your fears will not bring you harm. I know...that we cannot be together, after this, but...I will...send some of my power to your memories...there's...only one problem..." Eiko started.

Before she had a chance, eveything started to slowly disappear. The scenery, and everything around them.

"Eiko...Before I go...I..."

Joshua wrapped Eiko in his arms, hugging her for the last time.

"Farewell, I hope you will remember me...I will...return to you...someday..." Eiko said, growing transulcent.

"Eiko..."

Joshua found himself stumbling forward, and he landed face-first on the bed before that all happened.

"Master Joshua, please come to the command deck. A battle is occuring..." Alpha warned.

"What?!"

Chapter 21

Looking out in front of him, in front of the planet Earth, was a large space station. Explosions erupted all around it, while millions of ships tried to destroy it.

"S.P.I.K.E space-station..." Joshua muttered.

"Sir, would you like to take command? Ally ships include Jedi Fighters, numbered in about Two Hundered and fifty thousand, and a few ships. One is named Toxic's Dagger, and the other one would be the StrongGale, piloted by David StrongGale..."

"Excellent. Contact them and tell them to try and get into the interior of the ship! If that can be done, we'll be able to stop this madness now!"

A stray laser bolt hit the J-Wing, causing them to stagger. Joshua leapt into the pilot's seat and grabbed the familiar controls. It reminded him of his old controller he drew, bareing a small resemblance to the PS2 controller. On the left was the steering. A set of four arrows, reacted to Joshua's touch, and sent the ship in that direction. On the right were some blue, see-through buttons. One was marked A, the second U and the last one T.

"Aid...Ultima Missiles and Turbo Boosts...Just like old times...now, let's see if I can still fly this thing!"

Grabbing the control and pressing T, while pointing forward, the J-Wing's front changed into a large, sharp sword. Instantly slicing through the ships, Joshua smirked as the explosions erupted a few seconds after he flew through them.

"My personal pain and grieving will wait. Until I make this place safe, I promise myself, not to lose myself in my emotions..." Joshua muttered.

Meanwhile, on the StrongGale...

"...There is another ship in the vicinity, shoud we open fire?" Toxic asked.

"Negative! While you're on my ship, you don't fire at targets unless I say so you little brat!" David yelled.

"..."

"Relax. David always gets like this when he gets to fly his pride and joy. He hasn't had a chance to do this since the Great Gigatron!" Aisha said, sitting next to Toxic.

"...Thanks, Aisha."

"We're going to be together for a long time, so, wherever you go, I will follow...I promise..." Aisha said, snuggling against Toxic, causing him to go a bright red.

"Finally! There's an opening! Hold on to something!" David yelled, pulling a lever.

The ship instantly increased in speed, causing everyone to be flung in different directions. In front of them, one Jedi Starfighter flew into the space-station with ease. Before they could follow, a large robot instantly appeared out of nowhere.

"@#$!!!"

David flinched, causing him to make an error. His ship was headin straight towards the robot at top speed. Before they had a chance to brace themselves, a golden aura surrounded the ship and caused them to stop.

"What the #$@^% was that?!" David yelled angrily.

Chapter 21.2

I presume you don't appreciate the favor I just did? That's a pity, David." a voice yelled over the com-link.

"Joshua! You..."

"Don't worry about it! Let's take down this bucket of bolts!"

Joshua locked his target on the robot. While David ordered an all out assault with missiles. As Joshua prepare his attack, something flashed on a screen next to him. He looked down at his controller. It instantly flashed brightly and a new button appeared.

"Catastrophe? H-Huh?!"

The J-Wing suddenly flew upwards. It was heading straight for the...

"SUN?!"

Joshua braced himself for the unbareable heat. He looked around, finding himself still alive. He quickly looked at the ship. All systems were operating beyond maximum power! He quickly grabbed the controls and steered straight towards the robot. The ship was surrounded by an aura. Slicing right through the robot, it remained stationary until Joshua clicked his fingers. The robot imploded.

"What fun..."

As the two ships finally made it into the Space Station S.P.I.K.E, an old fac was waiting there.

"Dower!"

"Surprised? I had a feeling something like this would happen, I requested a small portion of the Jedi Starfighters, and found that S.P.I.K.E was deploying troops. We made it here, before the StrongGale was outnumbered. We're expecting a disaster to take place. Soon, the gateway to the dimensions will be open to others. We must prevent that."

"Got it. Veneno, I need you to take Toxic, Aisha and David. Seb and Dower will come with me." Joshua ordered.

"Just the three of you? Do you know how strong these troops are?!" Toxic objected.

"Hello! I've fought against worse! Besides, you four should be able to handle the ones that come after you. Now, do not engage in contact with Assassin Aharon, Dakoda or my father...thier my problem. I intend to defeat them here..."

Joshua motioned to Dower and Seb, racing down the corridor, each group went on thier way....

Meanwhile...

"So, the pathetic brother of mine has arrived? Excellent. I've been waiting for this chance. Here, I will..."

"Enough..." Aharon said, knocking Dakoda out with a blow to the head.

"S-Scum..."

"Joshua is the only one who stands a chance against me. You would fall so easily by his hand. I am more stronger than you ever will be..." Aharon muttered.

Walking away, Aharon quickly realised something piercing his back. Dakoda had obviously regained conciouness quicker than expected. He fell to the ground.

"Be thankful I let you live. We will destroy Joshua and his friends together, with my father's help, we are invincible." Dakoda laughed.

"So be it...@#$%@#$...." Aharon swore

Chapter 28.a

As Veneno led Toxic, Aisha and David down the corridor, thoughts started to run through his mind. Ones he hadn't contemplated until now. Was he really who he thought he was? Was he simply a person with a shadowed past?

"No time for this...These questions I will answer later...but..."

There was a loud scream that brought Veneno to his senses.

"Huh? Aisha!"

Assassin Aharon stood on a large mech. With a robot piloting it, holding Aisha in it's grip. Veneno drew his gun before he realised he had only David for assistance. Toxic had injured himself trying to rescue Aisha.

"Noob!" David yelled angrily.

"YOU GOT SERVED..." the robot droned in response.

David looked at Veneno at a strange way and quickly grabbed his walking cane. Using it as a spring, he catapulted himself into the air and knocked Aharon off. There was a brief yell of anguish before an explosion. The robot shut down and the mech stopped. Veneno whacked David over the head, after painfully making his way without his cane.

"Hey...Look!" Aisha yelled.

The Assassin Aharon was a fake after all...so the real one was...

"Oh no..."

Chapter 28

As Joshua, Seb and Mr Dower ran down the dark corridors which were filled with an occasional squad of robots and soldiers from S.P.I.K.E, they came to a complete stop when the path split into three individual doors. Not wanting to be separated, they bravely pressed on. Through the middle door. The path of truth was hidden from the eyes of normal humans, but the powers they had showed them the way, bringing them closer to their goal.

“…Something wrong, Joshua?” Seb asked, confused at Joshua’s silence.

Joshua kept silent and continued walking. Something didn’t seem right. Why would Dakoda revive Aharon? Especially, when his power was sealed…or was it? In fear, he reluctantly drew his Nintendo DS and pressed a series of buttons. His fears were realised as the screen lit up. Fires were blazing brightly as there were remains of the guardians that had been assigned to guard the seal. Defenders were killed by the brutal killing style of Assassin Aharon. A swift strike to the throat, wrists and two more slashes, which cut the body in half, vertically and horizontally.

Slowly pressing the replay movie, his eyes widened as all of them were slain, and blood was covering the floor. There was a howl and the light went out. Aharon walked out of the building, destroyed the seal and his former power had now allowed him to use his former power.

“No…This isn’t…It can’t…” Joshua stuttered.

“What?” Seb asked, worried.

Joshua passed him the video as Seb’s eyes widened as the video played. When it finished, his face was white and pale. Fear had clenched their hearts as the horrible truth was realised…

“Assassin Aharon is back to his former power...there is a possibility that we will all…no…I won’t give up now! Aharon must be stopped before he can be allowed to get into the Video Dimension!” Joshua yelled.

“That’s more like it! Let’s getting moving already!” Seb yelled happily.

“Agreed. Let’s…”

They had come to the main room where a large throne sat, but was empty, nothing but an echoing voice, going through the room.

Chapter 29

“So, at last you have arrived…excellent…since you have made it this far, I’ll have to reward you. Especially you, Joshua. How would you like to meet an old friend? Well…I’m giving you the opportunity to see your beloved Eiko again.” Aharon laughed.

“Joshua! You mean…Eiko’s dead?!” Seb yelled

“…”

“Joshua…I could’ve…stayed…only if you had given me…” Eiko’s voice said.

Eiko stood in front of them, her wings which were once white, were now black as the darkest night. It swallowed all the light around them.

“Why didn’t you give me The Video Crystals? That could have saved me…Give them to me…”

Joshua grew angry at Aharon’s trick and drew his swords. Seb and Mr Dower seemed to have disappeared, but they walked forwards, a red glow in their eyes.

“So, you’re trying to make me fight my friends? This is nothing but illusions! All of it! I will not fall victim to your tricks!”

Joshua raced towards the image of Eiko and slashed the illusion into nothingness before it could interfere. Fire surrounded him, becoming a large wall, but Joshua walked right through it, unscathed. He raced towards the illusions of Mr Dower and Seb and threw his swords towards them. A brief, inhuman screech filled the air and the illusions disappeared into nothingness, from where they came.

“So, you choose to accept the inventible…you never learn, do you Joshua. Then come. The darkness…the power which I now wield will destroy you…there is still a chance to run. Go now, or forfeit your lives.” Aharon laughed heartlessly.

Finally, Veneno, Toxic, David and Aisha arrived into the room. All seven of them were now reunited. Joshua yelled out loudly:

“We’ve come this far Aharon. All seven of us. We came to defeat you, Dakoda and my father. We will succeed or die trying. I will not fall. Not now. None of us will lose to the evil.” Joshua said.

Silence entered the room while Aharon was thinking. Joshua put away his swords and stood, awaiting the door in front to open. It did, but then closed.

“Very well. You may fight on for your pathetic planet, but you must face us alone. One by one. You will leave the Video Crystals behind. If you do not agree to these conditions, we will destroy the rest of the ship in which you now stand.”

“…Let me take Veneno and Toxic with me. I don’t have any chance of winning without them…” Joshua lied.

There was no way Joshua wanted to fight by himself. He knew that he would have Veneno and Toxic with him in case something went wrong.

“Fine. Step forward.”

The three heroes stepped forward into the elevator and were taken up to the next part of the ship. While they were travelling, Aharon smiled.

>Fools…Do you think I would let the others live? They can't honestly believe that I would allow them to interfere? Bah. It will make them suffer more. I will trigger the destruction of the lower half of the base. We'll proceed with Phase 2...<

Chapter 29

29 C

The long ascent was taking forever. Joshua was beginning to worry that this was a trick. Veneno was keeping silent and calm, but kept his left hand near his newly obtained plasma gun. Toxic was too busy thinking of so many possibilities of the battle ahead, he decided to try and calm himself down and have a laugh. Tripping Veneno over, he fell to the ground.

"You little..." Veneno growled, angry at Toxic.

"Settle down. This is no time to argue. Veneno. Let me have a look at that wound..." Joshua said.

Joshua looked at the bruised leg. It seemed weak and didn't seem it would support him much longer. Ordering Veneno to stand still, he thrust a small, hard to see dagger into the leg. There was a yell of anger and swearing, but Joshua motioned to the image floating above him. It was quite easy to see the damage that was there. All of his muscle was dead. It gave out as soon as Toxic tripped Veneno up.

"Not good. You won't be able to walk...unless...STOP MOVING! YOU'LL CAUSE THE DAMAGE TO GET WORSE!" Joshua snapped angrily.

Veneno went silent and still. With a click of his fingers, the dagger returned to his hand, and he placed it into his Nintendo DS. Pressing the Touch Screen, he saw a sample of the DNA he had just obtained. Manipulating it would be too dangerous. Joshua decided to leave out his origins, but he simply asked:

"Do you know who your parents are?"

"...Only my father. I...I can't remember my mother...Why?"

Joshua kept silent and grabbed his sword; Veneno flinched as he saw him raise the sword above his leg. He started to curse loudly, but saw the sword go right through his leg, and another screen came up.

"Okay...this should work...just a few tweaks here and there...and make an adjustment there...Done. Stand up." Joshua ordered.

Veneno did, but almost fell over. He didn't understand, his leg was working?!

"What did you..."

Joshua smiled.

"I only restored it back to what it was before. I couldn't erase all of the damage, even if I wanted to. That is for someone else. But, keep the cane. I adjusted it only so you could walk only if necessary without it. Most of the leg will remain dead until you get it healed..." Joshua explained.

"Anything you want to talk about Toxic? Friends? Family? This might take some time getting to the top." Joshua offered.

"...Yeah...What's this...'Video Game Dimension' you keep speaking about? Is it where all of the video game characters are real? Or maybe it's some dream you thought up! Video Dimension...Heh...Good one, Joshua." Toxic laughed.

"It's no joke. When this is over, I'm going there to get something of mine, and you two are coming with me. There is something that you will both need to see, obtain and meet...The rest of Gaming Force."

>And Eiko...I will see you there...soon...< Joshua thought

Meanwhile...

"So...We come all the way here, and for what?! No action at all! No fun at all!" David angrily yelled.

Seb sat down on the remains of a robot and started to think. Why would Aharon let Veneno and Toxic go instead of the others? Something was amiss. Usually, Aharon was overconfident and would battle them all, but this was unexpected...

Aharon's voice entered the room.

"Hey, Seb. Is everyone there?" Aharon asked.

"Yeah."

Aharon laughed and let out a cry of glee.

"Well, tell them that I said goodbye!" Aharon laughed, as he pushed a button.

"What?!" everyone yelled.

There was a small rumbling, but it grew louder and louder. Smoke flowed down the corridor and flame was everywhere. Explosions erupted all around them as Seb finally realised this was a trick...they were going to die. Grabbing his DS, he started a recording as he made their way to the ship. Before any of them could, the explosions cut off their escape, and out of the fire walked Assassin Aharon.

"Trying something?"

Then, their worlds went black...

Chapter 30

"What the hell was that?!" Veneno yelled loudly as the explosions subsided.

Toxic looked around anxiously, sword drawn, but Joshua had a worried expression on his face. Grabbing his DS, he saw a message on the front screen. It wasn't looking very promising. He motioned to Veneno and Toxic who also looked at the screens and watched the message. Explosions and alarms were ringing; their friends were running to their ships, robots got in their way until there was a large wall of fire, which was too intense for them to pass through except Seb, he didn't move and looked, as out of the flames walked Assassin Aharon. There was a large series of screams, then the fire had melted the DS...stopping the message.

"Oh no...NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!!" Joshua yelled in anger, tears forming in his eyes as he punched the wall until it started to dint and his fists started to bleed.

Toxic was crying, knowing that Aisha had died with them, while Veneno silently cursed under his breath, angrily. Joshua fell to the ground, crying until he felt a sharp whack on his shoulder. Veneno was standing in front of him, glaring at him, showing a bit of mercy and pity, but determination crossed his face.

"We should've known it was a trick. But we can't go back now...besides...you don't realise that I have these..." Veneno said, opening his back-pack.

A bright, white light shot forth and Joshua gasped as he saw the seven Video Crystals. Joshua reached out and held them in his hands. The rainbow light danced across his body, lighting it up.

"Listen. I know you both are in sorrow's shroud, losing friends and your beloved, but this is not the time to be weeping. At least, remember them for the things they did, and be happy they died fighting. We must press on. Joshua. The title of 'The Ultimate Gamer' is yours? Is it not? Then you must know that we can still save millions of others. Killing Aisha, as heartbreaking as it may be for both of you, prevented Aharon from starting the Giga Blaster...Now, let us..." Veneno was cut off by Aharon's laughing.

"Hahahaha...True, I may have killed them, but I can still spare the ones I need! I had no need for those other fools! Now, the Giga Blaster will fire in less than an hour. I doubt anyone can stop us now! And, in case you’re wondering that any of you will survive, forget it! Dakoda has discovered that the Giga Blaster drains all the energy out of the one who was used to fire it! Isn't this amazing! So many deaths..." Aharon laughed with glee.

"YOU SICK...TWISTED...DEMON!" Joshua yelled through clenched teeth.

"Oh? Is this Joshua displaying anger? Now, now, we wouldn't want to fall to the dark side, would we? Well, Dakoda...Destroy them!" Aharon ordered.

A beam of dark energy shot into the centre of the room, revealing Dakoda. Only his face was shrouded by shadows, his cape consumed all of the light around and his glowing DarkSword, shooting of beams of dark energy. His hair was still a dark, jet black and his eyes were red. He wasn't pleased.

"Hmph. Such pathetic heroes...my brother and two mercenaries. No matter. I doubt any of you will make any of a difference. Before we start, this is nothing personal to you two, but I intend to finish what our father did, Joshua. And you too, like all of your friends, will meet again...in death!" Dakoda laughed

Joshua kept silent. He wasn't going to let any of his emotions distract him. He had to beat Dakoda. Then, Aharon...Joshua knew his father was behind all of this. Aharon may be strong, but his power was nothing compared to Joshua's father. Drawing his swords, they shone brightly in the darkness.

Chapter 31.

Veneno raced behind a nearby pillar and started firing plasma shots at Dakoda. They were seeming to slow him down, but he wasn't hitting his target. Rushing into battle now would be stupid. He was a good swordfighter, yes, but his leg...

He reloaded his gun and continued his multiple rounds of bullets. A few did hit Dakoda, but it only did little, if any damage. Sighing, he decided more ammo used up in more shots could do more damage, but he would have to wait for an opening...

Meanwhile, Toxic was barely able to keep up with the multiple swords flying through the air. He was going defensive. But after a few minutes, he realised that Dakoda wasn't going to tire out, he attempted a counter attack. It worked, yes, but he found himself being lifted into the air, and flung into a wall. He managed to stop the impact and leap back into the fight.

His sword strokes were powerful, but lacked aim. That, itself was a problem. He decided that if he was going to make the blows which would get through Dakoda's defence work, he would have to swing a little less harder and get more control over his attack.

Joshua, however was managing quite poorly. His timing was off and Dakoda punished him for it. A swift blow knocked the sword in his right hand caused him to lose his grip on it, and was left fighting with one sword. Yes, he could've gotten his sword back, if he wanted another sword in his back. Dakoda was showing no mercy in his attacks, and continued relentlessly, fighting on with fury. A swift blow knocked Joshua into the air, the hilt of his sword hit Joshua in the chest, so violently, he coughed up a small amount of blood. Eventually, all three were forced back. The attacks were becoming too much.

"No! Not yet!"

Joshua decided to make a risky manoeuvre, and the outcomes were either:

A) He made it, and defeated Dakoda
B) Got himself killed
Or C) Run out of time.

He preferred option A. He ran up to Dakoda, jumping off Dakoda's chest, he flipped backwards and flew through the air backwards. Veneno saw the opportunity he was waiting for, charged up the shot and fired. Toxic took aim and slashed at Dakoda with such strength as Veneno's plasma blast. Dakoda teleported back, but didn't see Joshua's sword coming straight at him. It pierced right through his body and he fell to the ground, blood everywhere.

The three heroes ran up to him and to their surprise, Joshua helped him to his feet.

"What are you doing?!" Toxic yelled.

"Letting him go. He didn't kill anyone. Aharon and my father did. Dakoda was ordered to destroy us. Even though hatred burns inside him, inside that twisted mind of his, he is still human." Joshua explained.

He placed a hand on Dakoda's wound and he vanished.

"There. He should be back to his old self soon, where he would hide..." Joshua explained.

Toxic nodded in agreement while Veneno shrugged.

"Strange. You didn't kill him."

"We're even now. He's saved me...from myself..." Joshua sighed happily.

Chapter 32.

Finally, they reached the cannon, where Assassin Aharon was standing, laughing at them, as if he found them funny.

"Heheh...So Dakoda was defeated...No matter. The cannon is going to fire soon. Why shouldn't I have some fun while I wait for the deaths of millions! Yes! This will make me all powerful. And then, I will become immortal!!!" Aharon laughed.

He had changed his outfit. His black suit was firm and tight on his body, and there was a black, glowing aura around Aharon. His eyes had turned darker than any black that anyone has ever seen. Darker than the heart of an evil man. Or the depths of oblivion. Aharon had been to Hell and back, too evil and too powerful, and he was finally sealed away. Until Joshua turned 15, and arrived in the Video Game Dimension.

"So...I guess that I'll be spilling your blood after all...with my own to hands. I will enjoy you bleed, and laugh at your demise, now Ultimate Gamer, descendent of Johnathan Lightwalker...COME!"

Veneno drew his sword. Knowing the legends he had heard about him and the things Joshua told him, they were going to need to work together, and with swords. Guns weren't going to stop this assassin of darkness. Aharon drew his prized weapon. His Double-Edged-Sided Lightsabre. Before he attack, Joshua clicked his fingers. As the swords clashed together, they all held together. This surprised Veneno and Toxic.

"He can't break any weapons of ours with his Lightsabre now! Toxic! Free Aisha! Me and Veneno can handle this!" Joshua ordered.

As Toxic raced to Aisha, Aharon muttered forth some weird words and some demonic-looking robots approached. They had tough armour and it was hard to penetrate. Joshua slashed both swords in an like this: X , and the robot fell back, exploding. Veneno simply stopped with a spell of his own.

"THUNDAGARAJA!"

Millions of lighting bolts formed then turned into a dragon, hurtling towards the robot and Aharon. It pierced right through the two, destroying the robot and wounding Aharon. Blood fell onto the floor and Aharon grew angry.

"Fools."

He started slashing wildly, his moves becoming unpredictable. His sabre twirled and span. Veneno made an error and found his cane was sliced in half. Veneno's eyes narrowed and his body was surrounded by a surge of power. Joshua saw this and stepped back. Good reason too. Veneno's anger exploded into a series of frenzied slashes. The sword broke Aharon's Lightsabre in half, causing it to explode, throwing Aharon back.

He drew his scythe and lunged at them. Before he could, a whirlwind picked him up and sent him into a wall. Aisha was free and she was managing to hold off Aharon. Toxic stood besides her, defending her and smiled.

Aharon's eyes started to blaze. He was not pleased. To be defeated by these brats? No...He wasn't going to let go now. He let out a loud yell of fury and smashed Veneno into the air, performed 4 strokes, one up, one down, one left and the last to the right, causing blood to fly all over Aharon's face and he licked it off. Joshua raced to Veneno's side and helped him to his feet.

"Ugh...Not...Yet..." Veneno groaned.

Joshua placed his hands on the wounds and an aura of white light flowed into Veneno's body. He applied a few regen-patches and let him rest. He was badly wounded but would live. He would have to...

His thoughts were interrupted by Aharon's next attack. Barely missing him, Toxic wasn't concentrating and slashed at Aharon. There was a brief cry of anger and pain as the damage had been done. Joshua slashed like this: / and cut Aharon's head off, it rolled a bit, blood pouring everywhere, and light returning slowly. The headless body fell forward, into the abyss of space...

Chapter 33

"Veneno! You okay?!" Toxic asked with worry.

Veneno groaned as the blood stopped and he gently nodded. He had taken some sever damage and was in no condition to go any further. He placed a hand on his shoulder and teleported him back to Earth, where there would be a medical team of robots ready to perform surgery.

Aisha and Toxic were lip-locked, until Joshua walked over; the two broke apart and blushed. Joshua would regret telling Aisha this, but he had no choice...

"Aisha...Eiko...is...is...she's gone...She told me that you were sisters...no matter what happened, that is what would make her happy, if you lived your life to the fullest."

Aisha nodded weakly and looked at Toxic. Tears rolling down her face while Joshua watched.

"Toxic...I'm going on alone. I want you to have this. This is an Elemental Stone. One for you and Veneno. This will allow you to choose what sort of powers you want, whether it be Earth, or Fire, Light or Dark, Water or Wind...The decisions are yours, but think carefully. You cannot turn back. Now, I will send you both back to Earth. Don't do anything Toxic. That could get you in trouble..."

"Game boy Control!"

Toxic and Aisha vanished. Joshua looked down, the core of the S.P.I.K.E space station wasn't too far...and this...was where his father was waiting...


Walking down the final stretch of corridor which lead to the core, purple and black beams of energy were repeatedly flowing through the core of the station, bringing power to the other sections. Beneath the core was the endless void of space, nothing but blackness and stars. Joshua heard footsteps and the voice he despised. It had been 12 years since he first heard it...when he was abandoned. Saying he was a failure at everything.

"So. Joshua. Son...We finally meet again. How has the death of all that you cared about affected you? Did the memories you had, rebuild themselves? Did you learn who you truly are, and that you are pathetic? Like when you were three years old, I see no change in you. You are still a failure. I don't understand you. Dakoda accepts it, I accept it, why do you and Zac...oh wait...he is gone, isn't he...Well, maybe you could trust Eiko to heal your wounds, but she has perished. Your best friend. Seb...Teacher, Mr Dower...and David...And the power you wield...the Ultimate Gamer you may be in the Video Game Dimension, but here, you have nothing. Except three friends and a dying planet. Why don't you end it all now? And accept the inventible?" Joshua's father offered.

Joshua took off his cape and re-adjusted his cap. He drew his swords and looked at his father.

"...No. I am who I am. The hero. The one that walks in the light, lead by faith, hope and all things pure. Many of my ancestors were evil, yes. But your Great Grandfather, and my Great Great Grandfather, Johnathan Lightwalker gave himself up, to save the entire universe. All the lives...everywhere. He was a friend of Sir Eric of the Larson clan**, but he was not able to journey with him. I will achieve the title of the Ultimate Gamer. And I can save you from the darkness. Let me help you...Repent for the lives you have killed." Joshua replied.

His father laughed and shot him and angry glare. His son's defiance was not something that he was enjoying. It was no matter. His son was not going to triumph.

"Very well, If you do not wish to submit to the darkness...if you will try to show me mercy, I will see you break before you do, and when you do break, my son, you will die..."

Joshua's father drew his swords. The entire surroundings turned black and a ring of dark purple surrounded them. This made Joshua uneasy.

"Listen. Only one of us will leave this arena alive. The other will be sent into the depths of oblivion, tormented until the ends of time. That would be a noble end for you, eh?"

Chapter 35

As the wall of darkness expanded, Joshua’s uneasiness continued to grow. He tried to focus on the multiple targets rushing towards him.

>Multiple targets?! Woah!<

Joshua barely had time to parry all of the sword slashes his father attempted to strike him with. The darkness around him made it difficult to see the blades, and he was forced back with a kick in the stomach, sent straight into the wall of energy.

“Augh…This is going to be harder than I thought…” Joshua said, a bit worried.

He wasn’t going to show fear. If he did, he would lose. Pushing all negative emotions aside, he concentrated on the stopping his father from attacking. Defending wasn’t going to keep Joshua alive forever. His father had much more power in his attacks and greater speed…if only there was a way to use that to his advantage…

Thinking had caused Joshua to leave himself open, and he received a nasty shock when the swords cut into his side. Blood was not pouring out, but it left some nasty marks and a big bruise though. Deciding to leave his thoughts for later, he pushed on, changing his fighting style into something his father wouldn’t recognize.

The plan worked, which gave Joshua a temporary advantage over his father. If he could get him with little room to manoeuvre, he might be able to gain a permanent upper-hand. Joshua didn’t realise the glowing light from his back pack though. His father backed away as the darkness vanished and light illuminated the room. Joshua’s father staggered back, away from the light, in fear and because of his lack of vision.

“…The Video Game Crystals/ Game boy Crystals…” Joshua muttered as they flew into his hands.

He clenched them his fists and bolts of rainbow energy fired in random directions. Colors lit up the room even further, making it too bright for Joshua’s father to handle. Then, as he let them go, they started to spin around him, beams of rainbow energy flowing into him. He let out a yell of triumph as the power caused him to change.

His cap had vanished, and in it’s place was his hair, shining brightly in all the colors of the rainbow along with his t-shirt. His swords glowed brighter and he thrust them into the air. His body floated in mid-air. His eyes opened and looked at his father, backing away.

Chapter 36 & Epiloge

“Surrender.”

Joshua’s father laughed, before his face and body started to shimmer and then it began to expand. Talons jutted out of his hands as they became large claws, which looked dangerous to come near, but this wasn’t only change that was happening. Two large black wings sprouted from his back and grew larger until it started to darken some of the lit up room. His face was merging into what could only be recognized as a dragon’s head.

“…Witness the might…that I wield, boy! I will not yield to the light! As long as the darkness flows through my veins, my very being, I shall not fall to you foul warriors that defend truth and justice! I will destroy this world…this dimension…behold…I am the Ultimate Dark Dragon! Tremble before me!!!!” it roared.

Joshua smiled at this.

“You don’t seem to realise that as long as the Game boy Crystals/Video Game Crystals glow and my heart remains pure, I will not fall!”

The dragon lashed at Joshua who did not move. The claw went straight through him and disintegrated. The creature which was once his father, retreated backwards, and fell into the void of space.

“I will still destroy Earth! With my power, nothing will remain but dust!”

Joshua thrust his hand forward, sending a wave of rainbow energy towards the dragon, stunning it. His swords continued to glow and he sped towards it, running through space as a trail of light followed him. The swords slashed right through the body, but nothing happened.

“Ultimate Gamer? Hah! You are nothing! I wi-“

The dragon’s body had been sliced clean in half as blood floated in space; it slowly began to explode, causing Joshua to be thrown back. As the dragon let out a howl of anger, directed at Joshua, it finally vanished into the darkness of oblivion. Where all evil had come forth.

Light shone down on Joshua as everything went white...


"Hey...Joshua? You awake there?" a voice asked.

*Kiss*

Joshua felt two warm lips touch his and he leapt with a start. He looked at the person, and there, was Eiko, standing in front of him smiling.

"EIKO! You...You came back...I..." Joshua started.

"...Shhh...Everyone else is still asleep. Let's go have some fun..." Eiko said, winkinh at Joshua.

Joshua reached over to his bed-side table and reached into his drawer to find his old mega-phone. A wide grin spread across his face as Eiko hugged him.

They snuck into Toxic's room, who, of course was sleeping next to Aisha. Joshua took in a deep breath and...

"Wait." a voice whispered.

"Veneno? Here...you do it." Joshua said, passing him the mega-phone.

Veneno smiled, which took Joshua by surprise, but was quickly startled by the loud booming voice that followed.

"SURPRISE!!!"

Toxic jumped straight out of bed and was holding on to the light-bulb on the ceiling, Aisha had been pinned to the roof in shock, while Joshua, Veneno and Eiko were laughing.

"Joshua..."

"ZAC! SEB! DAVID! MR DOWER!"

They all exchanged a friendly hand-shake and Joshua explained about the final battle.

"It's finally over..." Joshua sighed.

>Really? I don't think so...The Video Game Dimension awaits...and you will now know...you beat nothing but a copy of all of us...Come, Joshua. We await you...< his father's voice echoed through his mind.

"Joshua?" Veneno asked.

"We leave for the Video Game Dimension, tommorow. Prepare yourselves. Gaming Force will be shocked to see you." Joshua said.

A portal instantly illuminated somewhere in the depths of space...and soon, the dimension where Joshua's adventures had first begun...they would return...

Prolouge

It has been four months since S.P.I.K.E's defeat, and their forces have been slowly vanishing. People, have slowly rebuilt our planet, and people finally know true peace. All of the credit goes towards Gaming Force and thier leader, Joshua Lightwalker.

His past is unknown to the people of Earth, and will probably remain that way. The Gaming Force is considered to be from another dimension, but they refuse to become test subjects for experiments.

But...In the darkness...In the depths of Oblivion, something stirred. A great power, which grows day by day. This power, seeks to escape from it's prision yet again, and get revenge on the one who sent him here.

"...This darkness...This power...It has...slipped through my fingers...but...I will not lose myself...this place...of evil...gives me strength...and I...will return..."

The darkness grows, it's power will be unleashed upon the unsuspecting Video Dimension...instead of our home. It knows, that the Ultimate Gamer will fight to protect it...with his life.

Meanwhile, the planets in the Video Dimension have already been under attack. Many warlords of darkness have continued to push the forces of light back. In fact, they are nearing the brink of defeat. Can Gaming Force save the Video Dimension? And who is the one in the darkness?

True...A flaw...My character cannot use fire-arms without getting devestating recoil. It's either using his magical powers, swords fighting or running away, screaming like a little girl...

Weakness....Worries wayyyy too much about other people.

-Is human, meaning being shot through the head/chest would kill, or severly wound.

-Can't concentrate with girls around.

-has difficulty killing living things.

If you want someone who's evil, look at Assassin Aharon. Think of him as a more evil Septhiroth...with the power to reserrect himself from the darkness of oblivion, who knows how to mess with Joshua's mind and has the powers of darkness at his disposal. He can't transform into a demon, but a Dark Dragon instead, if that fails, he (in one story) becomes an almighty evil monster, who was rumored to bring the darkness upon the Earth millions of years ago.

He never does anything stupid, has the IQ of 388, and is the young age of 23.

Bah...Evil guys make me seem as strong as a small teddy bear...U_U;

This was one of my newer stories...my first ones were how Joshua ended up in The Video Dimension...not that anyone would care...well, the Video Dimension contains the Jazz Planets...which are located in the Everyone's Story post but...I suck at cooperative writing...so...Suggestions for the sequel, which we be posted here, will be accepted. Inform others if you wish. I want to enjoy my hobby of writing stories. It's the one of the only talents I can do, where people appreciate what I do...everywhere else, I am mocked...for who I am...a young, 16 year old who is hated by most of the people in his school of 600...

Sure thing. I'll gladly help you out. But I should warn you that I'm a very straight forward guy and I don't surgar coat what I say when it comes to criticisms, so you'll have to promise not to get upset or anything.

For instance, most of your characters seem to be perfect beings in the professions that they chose. For a terminology reference, they would be called Mary Sues.

For further reading. Generally, these characters are hard to get into and have the reader find any sympathy with. Characters need to have flaws to make them feel more human. Plus characters with flaws have room to grow throughout the story, if they try to work out their flaw or if that trait becomes their fatal undoing. Authors of great classics tend to play on their characters weaknesses to create a story that's powerful and moving. Any good peice of literature will have flawed characters, and that's what makes them good.

Also, your plot seems to resemble how my stories used to be when I first started. Straight-forward and a lot of action, but without much continuity between the scenes and chapters and stuff. Overall, it never really moved anywhere. The easiest way to improve on this as I see it is to make your plots character driven. Each character should have something that they want and will do anything to get it. They all have individual motives and persue them. When the motives of two characters clash is when the fun begins. Conflict arises and has to be resolved. Combined with characters who are flawed, such as one who desires to be loved and one who's ambitions get in the way of their relationship, you've got Pride and Prejudice.

Final thing that comes to my mind at this time is how your story is narrated. Firstly, I'll break down how an average scene of a story should play out. First you dress the setting. Give a description about when and where the characters are. Afterwards, introduce who is in there and if needed how they enter. Then you can start dialogue and descriptions and stuff. Take care to give lots of detail about descriptions, settings, and how things are done. You want the reader to have a clear and concise idea that matches the one that's in your own head while writing. Plus detail is good because from one reader to another they'll have the same thing in their head. Of course, you should still leave stuff up to the reader's imagination. Just try to find the right amount that works, and you certainly don't have to describe everything in the same amount of detail. As Radium told me a long time ago..

But anyway, don't get discouraged. You're starting out the exact same way I did. Posting what I did here, and our story writing abilities are/were similar. In time, you'll become a SUPER FUNTASTIC author like me.

Guided stories are very useful, you can write a chapter and get someone more experienced to look over it and explain all the weak points. I should find someone to do that with my stuff, I definitely need improvement.

Okay...I'm almost ready...I'll have everything ready to go as soon as I check a few things...

Introduction to Chaotic Catastrophe!

Two months have past since the defeat of S.P.I.K.E, the sinister corporation which once had Earth in it's grasp. They were slowly draining the life from the planet, causing millions to surrender all things of value, and some were imprisioned because of thier, 'betrayal'.

But, a shining light came, with it, came a band of heroes by the name of Gaming Force, which fought bravely against the perils in another dimension. Joined by two ex-mercenaries by the name of Toxic and Veneno, they all managed to defeat S.P.I.K.E, and destroy thier space station which was going to destroy Earth.

But, something is amiss. Scattered reminants of S.P.I.K.E still fight on, causing trouble and destruction. They continue to put their lives at risk for reasons that the people cannot figure out. This however, is exactly what a certain evil master-mind is planning...

In The Video Dimension...

The remains of Robotropolis have been rebuilt. Millions of robots and other creatures are being produced at a massive rate, which have taken the forces of Light by surprise. Many people have been captured, while others try to hold out until help arrives from allies on different planets. But no planet has been spared from the onslaught. The quiet life of those who have not been involved in this battle has shattered. Such is the life of Adis T. Ziblink. Her once tranquil life of hanging around and collecting junk was destroyed when the forces of Darkness invaded.

[Target located...Identifing useful abilities...Capable of recycling old machinery into something possibly better...Objective recognized...Capture...]

Seeing no alternative, she fled. Negotiations were useless against robots that were only programmed to capture and kill. Carefully making her way through the darkness, she remembered that a portal which lead to another dimension was located. In past events, The Ultimate Gamer had left back for his own dimension on the planet she was on. And since the robots seemed not to have found it yet, she approached it quickly.

It was large and round, which looked like a gateway. Ones pure of heart could easily step through, but those of darkness...were simply repelled. She cautiously went closer, until a vortex instantly came into existance. Before she had a chance to think of the possiblities, a volley of laser fire zoomed past her, one of the bolts struck her arm, and she fell forward, into the vortex...

Chapter One and Two Completed. Chpt 2 is from Joshua's POV...

Chapter One: Earth

The normal days of Earth have finally resumed. Once a place filled with terror and destruction, it is growing rapidly in research in special technology and many cures for certain diseases had been found. Still, nothing could be done about the ones that had died during S.P.I.K.E's rule. The morning sun finally rose, it's bright beams shining through the windows of buildings everywhere. At Gaming Force HQ, it was quiet.

"...Okay...Plenty of time to sneak out and smash some S.P.I.K.E robots...I haven't had much fun during we defeated S.P.I.K.E...The interviews, the scientists...the others always trashing them before I get a chance..." Joshua whispered to himself.

Despite the fact he just woke up, it had taken less than a millisecond to change into his usual attire. His white t-shirt was still the same, but in his back-pack, was some extremly strong and light armor made of a mysterious material unknown to all. It shone brightly with the colors of the four elements.

>Somehow, I just don't find this challenging...I mean, this place is huge, alarms are set, and I already know where they...<

Joshua almost tripped on a defense activator. Sighing quietly, he ran out of the large building and raced towards the beach. The highway was quite empty, very little cars were around, and they found it hard to see the blur of speed rush past. The road was shimmering brightly in the morning sun. Until it's beams pointed towards the beach.

"Huh?"

He skidded to a stop and leapt off the highway, onto the sandy shores. The golden sand was soft to tread on, but his steps were light, which did not cause his feet to sink. Ahead was the portal he and his friends (excluding Veneno and Toxic) had returned from the Video Dimension. It had become a bit rusted, but it's vibrant silver color was still in sight.

"No need to use this...Everything's fine there...We stopped them for good..."

He looked around, finding nothing at all. There was no robots here at all...Sighing, he began to walk off before there was a bright flash of light, emanating from the portal!

"What th-?!" Joshua yelled before a vortex appeared, it didn't draw him near, instead something seemed to be approaching! He readied his swords, before the portal closed, and someone landed on the ground, hurt.

Joshua cautiously walked up to the figure and crouched down. It appeared she had wings, and one was bleeding quite badly. He crouched down beside the one who was injured.

"Hey, are you all right? Hello? Can you hear me?" Joshua asked.

The figure moved weakly, slowly getting to it's feet, before collapsing on Joshua. The blood continued to flow, and was starting to stain his shirt. Grabbing his backpack, he pulled out a bandage, and awkwardly wrapped the bandage around it's wing. He examined the figure closly.

"Hmmm...It looks like a Kiwi bird...from somewhere in the Video Dimension. It's...female. I don't know how she got here though. I though the portals were closed...unless something happened to make them re-open..." Joshua muttered.

"Uhh...W-Where...am...I?" the kiwi bird asked.

Joshua was surprised that she had regained some of her strength back already, but sat her gently on the ground. She seemed to try and move away from the light that was growing brighter. He quickly picked her up and looked for some nearby shade from the sun. As he placed her down, she looked up at him.

"..."

"Relax. I'm here to help you. I don't mean you any harm. Do you need help to stand up? Can I get you some water or something?" Joshua offered nicely.

"...J...Joshua...I...I need to find...The...Ultimate...Gamer..." she replied weakly.

"...That...would be me. We need to get you somewhere safe. S.P.I.K.E robots could be..." Joshua was cut off by a loud mechanical sound. The water slowly parted, and out of the ocean walked a S.P.I.K.E ACKA FIGHTER. Drawing his swords, he stood in front of the girl.

[Target...Joshua Lightwalker...alternate last name...Wren...Destroy for...Victory for S.P.I.K.E!]

Quickly drawing his swords and facing the large mechanical monster, Joshua simply closed his eyes before opening them again, to see the robot almost upon him. Seeing this, he simply jumped forward into the robot, forcing it back before Joshua threw one of his swords at the robot's head. It was a direct hit, causing it to fall and simply shoot out spark.

"C'mon. I'll carry you to safety. If I can get back to Gaming Force HQ, we shouldn't have a problem. Now, climb on my back, please." Joshua asked.

The Kiwi Girl simply nodded and slowly climbed on. Joshua ran quickly down the highway, before it began to split open. More robots were appearing, until he found himself completely surrounded. Joshua searched around, trying to find a weak spot. He saw a bunch of weaker robots there, and charged forward, not realising his error until he got closer. Several razor blades sliced into him, causing him to fall backwards, before he did, he span around, landing on his stomach.

"Get up...please...Hurry..." The Girl pleaded softly.

The sun was getting higher, and she let out a soft cry. Joshua looked up at her, before setting her down on here feet, and put his swords in his sheaths. He looked at the robots who pointed thier weapons at Joshua, who had his arms raised.

[Come with us. You must be executed. The girl lives...Now...]

Joshua nodded to the girl, who painfully began to run into the opposite direction, before she tripped and heard a loud explosion nearby. She turned around to see the robots, standing in a circle, before they all fell backwards, destroyed. Joshua stood in the center, breathing heavily and sweating.

"That...attack cost me...some of my...strength...We...have to hurry...Let's...go..." Joshua muttered.

He walked for a short distance, keeping up with the girl, before he fell over, bruised and bleeding. Something had seemed to pierce right through his shirt, a large sheet of metal stuck out of his back, blood quickly running down onto the road.

"Augh...I-It's nothing...Your...safety comes first. Let's go..." Joshua muttered.

As they both walked slowly to Gaming Force HQ, they both leaned on each other for support. She looked at Joshua as they finally made it to Gaming Force HQ. Both were totally exaughsted, but still managed to keep upright...and both managed to smile at each other...until the pain in Joshua's back became too much, and he fell forward, unable to move. His vision, going black....

Chapter Two: Awakening.

-Joshua's thought's-

-Descending into the shadows again...I thought...this time, I wouldn't be coming back...So many times I had ended up here because of injuries that had left me close to death...But...I wasn't expecting for it to be caused by S.P.I.K.E robots...They seemed to be stronger than I last saw...How? Could something drive them further? Or...was I getting weaker...?-

-I didn't really know about what was going to happen in the things yet to come. I know Assassin Aharon and my father were gone...but what puzzled me was why...and how that girl ended up here...Only when the Darkness is purged, shall the portals close after the saviours of Light leave...but...what if the Darkness had returned? Would the portals...open again?-

-In this place, there is nothing...but emptiness...it is a void...no heat, yet it is not cold. Left with nothing but my own thoughts as I continued to float here, awaiting to find the light to lead me from this place...My body was damaged, but the Light would restore me. My heart...and those of my friends continue to care for each other...our bond with each other is close...too close for us to be seperate...-

-I closed my eyes, then opened them again. I was still asleep, yet I was still awake. This place seemed to be so vast, reaching endlessly...the light seemed so far away, yet I felt the warmth slowly pulsing through my body...Stars slowly swirled past me, as the light grew closer, something caused it to vanish...-

"Hmph...Trying to leave again, hoping to leave me here, and not take me with you? Forget it, Joshua. I am always in the darkness of your heart...I will not remain this way...I shall not continue my existance as a mere memory..." the voice called to me.

-I knew that belonged to Assassin Aharon. Only something that sinister could come from him. But...voices continued to ring in my head, before everything went to white...-

-I was breathing, but still asleep. Floating in a void of white. Looking around, I found little around me. But...something called me. I didn't know what, but...it sounded soothing...the voice...it told me I would need to be strong...and I couldn't rely on the Light alone. I didn't understand. It said, that despite I was one of the Light, since my turn to the Darkness long ago, I remain in the Twilight.-

"The Light alone...cannot bring you victory, Ultimate Gamer. The Darkness, although it corrupts the ones seeking power, it will not harm the ones who seek to use it for good..."

-I didn't know what to say in response to that. The Darkness...in my heart was something I wanted to forget. The powers I still had from my dark journey, were the last things I wanted to use. I just hoped...I wouldn't have to use them...Light finally shone through. My sleep was over, yet the awakening...I have yet to understand...-

Chapter 3: Warnings and Preperations

Joshua's eyes slowly opened, staring up at the relieved smile of a girl with bright purple hair and a ribbion in her hair. Offering her hand, she helped Joshua to his
feet before hugging him tightly. Crying soflty.

"Eiko...It's alright. Okay? I'm fine. You don't need to worry. Besides, you know I don't die easily." Joshua smiled down at her.

Eiko looked up at him and dried the tears from her eyes before hugging him again. Joshua simply held her in his arms gently before they both looked at the girl Joshua
had saved earlier. She seemed a lot more healthier now. Her injuries were still healing, but she was quite capable of getting around without support.

"...Joshua Lightwalker? I need to speak with all of you urgently. It concerns the Video Dimension..." she asked.

As Eiko ran ahead, Joshua simply walked. Still trying to figure out what was going on...The portals opening...the sudden surge of S.P.I.K.E robots strength...why was it
all occuring now? Something didn't seem right. Joshua wondered if he should have gone out on his own. Rescuing the girl he found was the right thing to do...but something...didn't seem right...why was she wounded like that when he found her? Was she attacked by Darkness? How could she? The forces of evil were destroyed...but that could also mean she tried to attack the Forces of Good...making her an enemy...

"Best to leave these thoughts to later. Simply trying to figure them out now is usless. Simply thinking about these things is going to keep me occupied. Better keep
my mind on the current task at hand..."

As Joshua looked up, he thought he could feel some dark presence watching him.

"...I better move."

Meanwhile, in the Video Dimension...

Dr. Ivo Robotnik was sitting in his chair watching the multiple screens of battle. His new and improved robots, the DarkDestructors were performing brilliantly. Many of the
forces of Light had been captured and imprisoned, awaiting execution or a much more gruesome fate...being turned into Robotnik's mindless slave. Fighting for the darkness. His anger was still quite high. Dr. Neo Cortex was still allied with the Forces of Light, when that blasted boy, Joshua Lightwalker met him again, he joined the Forces of Light then and there.

"But still...how did those two meet before Joshua arrived here?" Dr Robotnik thought aloud.

As he continued to watch the moniters, he came across a recording. One where a portal had been opened and warped someone to Earth. Smashing a nearby console with his fist, he angrily stormed out of the room, before he turned down another corridor to a place that was calm him down...The Robotization Chamber. Normally, a frail and easily damaged machine with reversable effects, Robotnik had re-made it. Making it harder to cure the effects, and if the robot was destroyed, the one inside would perish along with it.

Another figure walked out of the shadows beside Robotnik, who simply chuckled.

"Excellent. Your ability to torture those who stand in our way amuses me..." the figure laughed.

>Best not to tell him about...<

The figure instantly recognized Robotnik's thoughts.

"It matters not that one got through the portal to Earth. It changes nothing. Even though the Ultimate Gamer may be warned, our army will soon outmatch his. You see...unless there is some large pockets of resistance hidden across this dimension...or more of our weak hearted allies join them...then we may consider them a small threat, but still...as long as I am here, that brat is not going to stop us this time..."

"Despite the fact you were beaten a few times?" Robotnik questioned.

"...All I need is Assassin Aharon back...John Darken and Dakoda will be easy to find. Especially since they will want to join our cause...but you see...although John Darken is the last of the Omega Knights, I, am much more stronger than anyone in these dimensions. I will gain thier power...making all of us stronger...Hah..." he laughed.

On Earth...

"So...that's what is happening?! How could this occur?! We left it safe for our friends! But...the ones of the Dark are back...how..." Seb muttered angrily.

Seb was about 14 years old. He was born from a rich family, but befriended Joshua at a young age. His skills with an axe have grown, as well as his abilities to use Fire, Lighting and Metal magic. He had bright yellow hair and a red basketball jersey. He wore black pants and his eyes burned red with fire. Once Dakoda's famed assassin, he returned to the light after Joshua and his friends help.

"...But sitting here is not helping...we have to do something! We can't simply wait here, knowing everyone is in danger!" Eiko yelled.

"....Veneno....Toxic...Are you willing to come with us? This mission has an extremly low chance of success." Joshua offered.

Veneno smirked while Toxic simply laughed.

"We've come this far! How hard could it be? Let's go already!" Toxic exclaimed.

Veneno simply nodded in agreement.

"Adis? You up to this? Can you come with us?" Joshua asked.

"...."

"Listen, I know how it feels to know how to lose everything I once had too. But you have to let go of the past and look forward to the future. I promise to look after you. We are going to need your help." Joshua said calmly.

Adis nodded and everyone walked off to thier quaters. Eiko walked up to Adis and glared at her angrily.

"Listen. I don't know how you got here...and even if you are on our side....but stay away from Joshua. He's mine." Eiko threatened.

"W-What?! Is something wrong with you?!" Adis yelled back.

"Adis! Eiko! Get moving! We gotta get moving!" Seb yelled.

"I hear voices...calling to me...ones of Darkness...claiming to be ones of the Light...who am I to trust now? Have...all my friends deserted me? Seb? Eiko? David? Mr Dower? Veneno? Toxic? Aisha? Zac? Adis?....Why...Why have you gone away...? Do you all...hate me?"

Laughter echoed from all around. The dark void which he stood in had no light anywhere. He felt the cold...the prescene of despair...of sorrow...of death...

"Look in your heart, boy! Do you honestly think they would be with you forever? The darkness is what you have let yourself become...now...all you can see...hear...feel...is Darkness...even now, it seeps into your senses...causing you to fall further into the shadows..." a voice called.

Joshua felt his body go numb.

"Be thankful you have me to keep you company...for if it where not me...you would be completly alone..." the voice laughed.

Joshua painfully smiled, then angrily glared.

"That's sounding pretty good right now. I hate this darkness...I lost myself to it once...I won't let it again! I'll defeat the ones of the dark...one by one..." Joshua threatened.

"Then you'd have to destroy yourself last. You are one of the dark...for your fall will always remain."

Joshua drew his swords and looked around.

"Show yourself!"

Out of the shadows...walked Adis?!

"Adis? B-But why?!" Joshua stammered.

"Fool. You truly ARE pathetic. I am the darkness in your heart...I can take any form I please...even...you..."

The Adis copy vanished, before re-appearing as Joshua. He was a complete grey in color, and looked exactly alike.

"Now then. I will bring about what you have always wanted in your dreams....release from your suffering...now...come. Do not resist me. Let me destroy you...so you may be at rest...forever...."

Joshua looked at his dark copy before he charge forward. His look-a-like did exactly the same before they collided, and the energy that was created threw them back.

White light started to swirl around Joshua, while dark purple swirled around his copy. They started to rise in the air before they lunged at each other again, striking rapidly. Neither of them could get a strike in. Both continued to attack, before they started to charge up energy around them. Beams of light and darkness shot around the void, colliding together, causing large explosions. Then, Joshua did something unexpected. He charged straight toward the next beam and deflected it with his sword.

"Hah! Sorry!"

The dark Joshua looked on as it approached him. He laughed before it collided with his body. The room continued to get darker, before the one of the dark looked up, his eyes glowing red.

"Looks like...I will not have to try after all! Dark Devil Dragon!"

Joshua flew backwards before he was caught in the blast of dark energy. His look-a-like's body was changing. Two large wings sprouted out of it's back, and it grew large, deadly claws. It grew a large tail and it had sharp white teeth that looked like they could bite Joshua in two.

"RRRRROOOOOAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!"

Joshua looked to find a blast of dark energy collide with him, causing him to fall to the ground...before he collided with floor...the copy slashed with it's claws, causing Joshua to fall back, his shirt torn and red. Blood poured from the wounds and he fell to his knees.

"Hah. You can't triumph now. Come into my dark embrace!"

Joshua simply remained motionless.

>Everyone...I...I won't give up now...I will...not give up...<

He got to his feet before seven colors shone from his backpack, and flew into the air.

"What?!?"

The beams returned and started to swirl around Joshua. The beams continued to spin around before they turned into crystals.

"The Gameboy Crystals?! Impossible!! You cannot..."

Joshua clenched the Crystals in his hands and started to float in the air. The energy began to flow through his body, curing his wounds, before everything became a pillar of white. He re-emerged, his cap replaced by golden hair, and his body covered with armor that shone like a rainbow. His swords had also changed.

"No..."

Joshua simply looked at his darker form and angrily glared at it.

"Begone!"

Rainbow beams shot from his hands, colliding with the Dragon, forcing it to let out a shirll cry of anger and pain.

"F-Fool...I...Cannot...die..."

There was another bright flash, before Joshua was normal again in the dark void...

"You don't stop but you procced, cause this is what ya need! Ya don't stop...can't, just can't stop..."

"Wrapped in Black...in black in black..."

"Back to back, let's spin it on it's back! Back to back, turn things back..."

Chapters Four and Five up!


Chapter Four: Return.

Gaming Force quickly made thier way to the portal on the beach, making thier way down the highway. The shroud of night gave them cover, but instead of going on foot, Joshua, Seb and Zac wanted to test out thier new toy...A large six wheeled battle-car which was painted blue, large lights which pierced through the night, as well as other multiple features. As they all climbed in, Joshua grabbed the controls, much to Zac's anger.

"No fair! I wanted to drive!" Zac yelled angrily.

Joshua simply smirked.

"Two problems, Zac. One, you are only fourteen years old. Secondly, even if you were sixteen, I doubt you'd even be able to see over the steering wheel!" Joshua laughed.

Seb and David chuckled before Zac gave his older brother a punch in the arm. He walked off to the back of the battle car and sulked. That was before he found the weird looking console that he hadn't noticed before. Playing around, he suddenly found the floor move upwards and he was placed outside on the roof of the Battle-Car, in a small sphere which had some sort of weaponry on it.

"So...Any ideas for the name, Seb?" Joshua asked.

"...How about the Fire Wave?" Seb suggested.

Joshua nodded before pressing a series of buttons, which caused the Fire Wave to move forward. Driving down the highway at a high speed, Joshua simply looked up at the moon to see a large shadow move over it. The stars slowly flickered, before a bright red flash collided with the Fire Wave. Joshua was thrown forward, Seb fell over, Aisha held on to Toxic, Veneno simply laughed as well as David, and Adis fell out of one of the beds.

"What the?! Zac! Do you see anything?" Joshua yelled.

There was a bit of static, but the message was quite clear.

"S.P.I.K.E robots! Coming in fast bro! Let me at em!" Zac yelled over the radio.

There was a green flash as the Fire Wave's weapons were fired, which caused scrap metal to fall from the sky. Everyone found robots on all sides. Steering towards the road to the beach, the car moved forward as more laser blasts struck it.

"Veneno! Grab the wheel! Seb! David! Follow me!" Joshua ordered.

As Veneno managed to steer the Fire Wave, Joshua and his friends rushed to the back of the car, where he pressed a red button. A hatch opened up above them, before they were on the roof of the car. Robots zoomed towards them. Seb grabbed his axe, Joshua drew his swords and David prepared his mace.

"Scrap Metal, coming in fast!" Joshua yelled.

Seb shot a blast of fire towards a group of robots, causing them to overheat and exploded. David threw his mace towards more robots, which collided with them, causing them to explode before returning to his hand. More of them kept coming, as all four heroes managed to fight them off, the portal was still nowhere in sight.

"Joshua! We've got company! S.P.I.K.E Guardian coming in fast!" Veneno yelled over the radio.

"Great! More Scrap Metal!" Seb exclaimed.

Sure enough, it was guarding the entrance to the portal. The robot was at least five meters tall, with multiple weaponry latched to it's body. Razor shards jutted out of the thick armour, which looked like it could tear people to shreds. Smiling, Joshua leapt of the Fire Wave and attempted to strike it's head with his swords. Not a good move.

"Joshua!"

The robot raised it's arm and swung out at Joshua, if it wasn't for the bolt of lighting that Seb had cast, he would have been seriously injured. Joshua gave him a thumbs up before twirling his swords in a circle, thrusting them into the robot and he jumped into the air, dragging the swords with him.

"CLIMHAZZARD!"

The robot fell back, before Zac created a large javelin of ice, which he hurled at the head. It pierced straight through, causing it to explode, but the robot still approached. Veneno and Toxic got out of the Fire Wave and got out thier Plasma Guns. The beams of energy had little effect. It slowed the robot down, yes, but it continued to advance. It seemed that is was determined to stop them.

"Zac! Get ready!" Joshua yelled.

Zac had leapt down besides Joshua and was slightly surprised when he was grabbed by the legs and swung around. It seemed he had a plan. Zac smiled and covered his fists with shards of ice, before Joshua let him go. He hurtled towards the robot and began to spin like a bullet. He pierced straight through it's armour, causing it to simply stare down at the gaping hole, before it imploded.

"Hah...Useless heap of metal..."

As the robot vanished, the portal suddenly became active. The light around it was sucked in, as was all of the heroes. As they floated in the void which led to the Video Dimension, something went wrong. On the planet where they were going to arrive, it was destroyed by Dr Robotnik. Meaning...that anything could happen now...everything went white....

Joshua awoke in the middle of a large forest in the middle of nowhere. The sunlight shone down on him, causing him to feel slightly better. He looked around....

"Huh?! Seb?! Zac?! David?!" he yelled.

No reply. His voice echoed through the remainder of the trees.

"Remains of the trees...? Oh no..." Joshua muttered.

The entire forest had been burnt down, leaving nothing but ashes and dust. It blew around him. The dark scene made him
stagger back and trip over. He landed on the ground with a thud, only to hear someone softly crying. Adis.

"...Why...How did...this happen?! How could they do this to my home?!" she whispered to herself.

Joshua looked down at the weeping Adis and gently placed his hand on her shoulder. She turned around, tears
in her eyes, looking up at him with surprise.

"...."

"Adis. I know how you feel...I've felt the pain of losing my home and friends too...But...Crying isn't going to bring them back. We have to keep moving,
whoever did this could still be nearby. We have to go." Joshua said softly.

Adis got to her feet and wiped the tears from her eyes, before hugging Joshua softly.

"Uh...Adis...It's okay. I promised to make sure you didn't get hurt or get sad...I'm here with you."

Adis kept quite before whispering...

"Thank...you..."

Chapter 5: Destruction.

Seb slowly awakened from his state of unconciousness. Everyone else was still out cold. After searching the Fire Wave, everyone was there...except Adis and Joshua.

"Hmmm...We must have been seperated. I wonder what happened..."

Seb got on top of the Fire Wave and looked around. His calm expression turned to anger when he saw...the entire planet had become a war zone. Robots and heroes alike
had fallen, blood and oil stained the dry, barren ground. Forests had been destroyed, rivers had dried up...oceans were polluted with toxic waste. Fires blazed, thunder rumbled and thunder shot down from the dark sky.

"This is terrible..." Seb muttered.

He searched around for any signs of life. Something was moving slowly...He leapt off the Fire Wave and raced towards the object or person. To his dismay, it was a seriously wounded rabbit with a gun in it's hands, bleeding badly. It's right ear was missing as well as part of his left leg.

"What happened here?" Seb asked.

The rabbit breathed in heavily and fell to the ground.

"Ugh...We...were...attacked...Dark...Robo..ts...and ...evil...dark..on..es...the..y..c..am.e...and...k il..led...us..all..." it groaned.

"Who was leading them?! Do you know?!" Seb asked loudly.

"Da...rk...Kn..ight...Th..The..." the rabbit fell silent and stopped moving.

Seb looked down and shook him gently.

"Hey! Hang in there! I'll get you to safety! Just hang on!" Seb yelled.

The rabbit's reply was coarse and soft...

"Ther...e...is..no...saf...ety...Our...planet...di. .mens..ion...is...doo..me..d..." it groaned, before he breathed his last.

"Dang it! He's gone. No pulse...or sign of life..."

Suddenly, a nearby series of robots came to life, their eyes flickering red. Determined to take Seb down with them. Drawing his axe, Seb simply
put on a angry glare and looked at his foes.

"Come. I stop you here!"

Seb span his axe in a full circle before slamming it down into the ground. Fire appeared from the cracks in the planet and began to
come together, creating a wall of flame, incinerating the robots. But they simply shed thier armour and a new set appeared. Seb was
taken by surprise. These robots were getting smarter!

[Destroy...]

Seb lunged at the nearest robot, before slamming it into the air with his axe. He leapt into the air after it, before charging up an aura of fire around his axe and
slamming it straight down into the robots, causing it to split clean in half. The others were below him, lasers ready.

Seeing this, he twirked his axe in front of him, turning his entire body into a large fireball which collided straight into
the ground, creating flame and small explosions around him. The robots continued to advanced, but were cut short as something
slammed down on the top of one's head. A staff with wings.

"Aisha!"

The young girl smiled, before creating a whirlwind which swept up the remaining robots, the wind tearing thier bodies apart until
there was nothing but pieces of metal scattered around them.

I moved. Again. For the 7th time now. My computer crashed. But my story was spared. My brothers are driving me crazy...Story? Okay. I haven't had much critcism yet though...

Chapter 6: Determination

Night had fallen on Adis's home planet. The stars and moon were faintly shining through the dark sky, making both Joshua
and Adis uneasy. No matter how far they looked, destruction had befallen the entire planet. The main civilization had been destroyed, buildings had
been reduced to rubble, corpses filled the streets, to both of thier dismay, only a few pieces of robots were found. The city musn't have stood a chance.

"This is horrible...innocents slaughtered...The ones who have fallen seem to be the only ones here..." Joshua said sadly.

"..."

Exlposions erupted from some of the machines that were destroyed, the dark sky above seemed to smother everything in a blanket
of darkness. Something...was heard from the disturbing scene...Crying? Adis headed towards the noise, while Joshua followed, checking for any signs of
life, to no avail. A large pile of rubble had blocked thier path, but the cries could be heard from behind it. Joshua stepped forward. He moved his left hand forward, lifting the debris into
the air, then moving it aside, he placed it gently down on the ground.

"W-What?!" Adis exclaimed.

In the center of the fallen rubble was a young toddler. It had a silver hair on it's head, a small green t-shirt and black shorts. It looked up at them and stopped crying.

"A...Are you my mommy...? W-Where...am I...? Is...this my home?" he asked.

Adis kept quite before Joshua looked at the baby and thought for a few seconds, then he crouched down besides the baby and looked at him.

"We can't just leave him here. If we do, he'd surely die. He must have been trapped here for some time. But...he's not even scratched. Not a graze on his body...Maybe I
could try talking to him..." Joshua suggested.

He looked down at the toddler and pulled a funny face. It looked up at him, confused, before he saw Adis shaking her head.

"...You have no idea how to communicate with a child, do you...? Let me try..." Adis sighed.

She crouched down besides him and tickled him under the chin. He chuckled, streching his arms out towards Adis and Joshua. It appeared he
was very happy. Joshua picked him up and threw him gently into the air, before catching him. The baby laughed before it reached out towards Adis and nuzzled against her.

"...Looks like he thinks your his mom. He's fallen asleep now..." Joshua whispered.

A small rumbling could be heard in the distance. A nearby skyscraper fell to the ground, metal tearing into the road, glass shattering, rocks crumbling. Behind it was
a large robot with two large flails for arms, saws buzzing around it's head.

"Hmmm...This looks new...looks like Robotnik has made a few improvments..." Joshua muttered.

"Yes...But this was not all his doing. See the marks on the side there? It looks like it was made by...Devan Shell..." Adis pointed out.

Joshua drew his swords, before twirling them around to make them into a double-ended sword. Joshua tightly held the hilt of the weapon, before he threw it
at the robot. It spiraled through the air, cutting through the armour, but two lasers shot out of the eyes, causing the weapon to stop and return to Joshua's hands. A flail crashed into
the ground in front of him, creating a large, gaping hole.

"Wuh...Big...Wobot...Me help!" the baby gurgled, waking up.

He leapt out of Adis's arms and ran past Joshua, before it raised a small dagger into the air. The dark clouds vanished, as a shining object came hurtling down
from space. A twinkling star, glowing brightly. It crashed into the robot, causing light to envelope it, before it died down...when it did, there was nothing left
of the robot except scrap metal.

"I did good! Didn't I, Doshuwa? Huh? Did I do good?!" the baby yelled, reaching for Joshua.

"...You...You did that...? Woah...How...did you know my name...?" Joshua asked.

"I heard it...when I was westing. I was gaining back powah. I always cood do dat. I'm special...My name is Edward..." he said.

Adis stopped staring and picked up Edward and tickled him.

"He...He isn't helpless...That...power...how could he...?" Adis asked.

Joshua shook his head.

"I don't know. We'll find out sooner or later. Edward can sit in my backpack. He should fit quite well." Joshua suggested.

Edward had fallen asleep again, snuggling against Adis.

"Babysitting...? We better move. More of those robots could be still coming. The others aren't here...they must be on another planet...but...where...?" Adis asked.

Joshua closed his eyes and snapped his fingers. A twinkle appeared in the sky and caused a large ship to fly down towards them.

"We'll find out. C'mon! My J-Wing will help us find them!" Joshua yelled.

As Adis looked back at the city and forest, she nodded.

Chapter 7: Alliance

Mobius. Once a lush and free planet. Life was enjoyable for the former prisoners of Dr Robotnik as they rebuilt thier destroyed civilization. Robotropolis was
destroyed, and a large city called Mobotroplolis II was built on it's remains. Those who were hiding from Robotnik's wrath could safely return to thier families. Princess
Sally had become the queen of the planet. The Freedom Fighters were now members of the royal court, justice and equality was common. Happiness was abound.

Robotnik's factories were still around the planet, and were eventually destroyed. The possilbility of Robotnik's return was now impossible. With no army, factories or
supplies, he was dismissed as a minor threat. He was gone...until the planet's natural balance began to go out of control. The ice caps at the North began to melt, and earthquakes became
frequent. From out of nowhere, a large army of advanced robots attacked the peaceful civiliazation, annhilating all who stood in thier way. Many lives were lost, and few were captured. A small portion escaped, in hiding.

Seb and David looked at the devestated planet. Collecting the bodies and burying them, they returned to the Fire Wave to plan thier next move. Seb sat at the main table, with the others
looking up at him while he sat there, thinking.

"Our best option is to find those who are hidden and get them to safety. Robotnik will find them sooner or later. He's tearing the planet apart. If we could get them to somewhere safe...then we might be able to perform some sort of rescue operation. Innocents should be evacuated...and if we can free some of the prisoners...most of them would be adept at fighting. If we're going to fight, we'll need support." Seb explained.

David sat down, chewing a piece of straw before he looked up at Seb.

"Good idea. But we don't have any transport to get em' outta here. If we're lucky...the StrongGale might still be ere...But...I'm the only one who can fly it...and there's going
to be quite a bit of resistance...the portal isn't reliable. Robotnik could have robots there waiting...What do you think, Zac?" David suggested.

Zac simply shrugged.

"I'd go for an all out attack, but we don't know the numbers. We'd get slaughtered. We'd need Joshua if we wanted to do that though...he's like the one who's capable of
stopping enemies that we've never heard of..." Zac replied.

Aisha was silent. She was simply snuggling up against Toxic who was going red.

"It doesn't matter what you choose to do. I just want to do something other than sit here. I have a stash of weapons...but not enough for an army...and I doubt many of
the people we'll find are capable of weilding fire-arms. If we are lucky...we might find some people who can help us..." Veneno sighed.

"It's settled. David. When we find the underground resistance, you'll take them with you to our HQ planet. It's still safe from attack. Fat boy doesn't know about it. They will be safe there...afterwards...you come and get us. We better head to the Jazz System. Devan Shell hasn't quite got a strong force set up yet. Jazz, Spaz, Lori and Queen Eva would be able to hold out until we get there. Spaz is actually quite smart every now and again...despite his appearance and behaviour. Let's just hope he doesn't lead them to try and eat some Dopefish..." Seb sighed.

"...I don't see what's so bad about those fish. They're large, meaty...and they are quite filling...and I don't care what the readers say, no they do not have what thier name suggests!" Zac yelled.

"Duh. Do you think people are really that stupid?" Toxic asked.

"...I'd gladly reply to that, but I'd get in a serious amount of pain. Let's just get moving!" Zac yelled.

Veneno made his way to the front of the Fire Wave with some diffculty, the muscles in his left leg were slowly regenrating, but still needed his cane to support him. Grabbing
the steering wheel, he started the battle truck and accelerated towards the Great Forest. As they approached, many of the trees had been cut down and destroyed, but not a single body
was there. Driving on, they were being watched from above...

"...Unbelivable...Those of Gaming Force return to this place...Thier quest will end in failure if they do not procced cautiously. Prehaps some aid may be required..." the voice claimed.

The figure leapt after them, running at a rapid pace, his silver hair behind him. His Mamasamune was in it's sheath, his black clothing becoming a blur in the wind. Leaping into the air, he
covered a great distance before looking forwards. Ahead was a large gaping crater. This was what he was looking for. Making one last jump, he landed directly in front of the Fire Wave, causing Veneno to slam on the brakes.

"Who...or what the heck just stopped us?!" Veneno yelled angrily.

Seb looked outside to the one and only Sephiroth. His green eyes glowing, his one black wing blowing gently in the wind, his arms folded.

"Welcome, Gaming Force. I've been waiting for you. Put away your weapons. I wish to form a truce. You see...Dr. Robotnik...he's trying to take over this dimension. When he does,
no one will be able to stop him. My powers alone are not enough. A greater darkness is within this planet. Stronger than I." Sephiroth explained.

"And why should we trust you. Last I remember, you tried to destroy Diamondus with Meteor. What you did was unforgivable. But...when we were under attack...from Devan Shell, why
did you stop him? And refuse to cast Meteor?" Seb asked.

Sephiroth smiled.

"I was not expecting you to try and stop me from a fruitless attack on a pathetic planet. This opened my eyes. J.E.N.O.V.A's lies...The Promised Land exists...but following my 'mother' was
not the way. I see now...the way to the Promised Land is light. Not darkness...I have been there. The answers I seeked where there. I found out my 'true' purpose." Sephiroth explained.

Seb and Zac kept silent, hands near thier weapons, but reluctantly drawing them.

"I know you may not trust me. We have no other choice but to work together. That is what is needed. If you will just step aside for a second..." Sephiroth said.

He lifted his arm into the air, causing a wave of white light to form an arrow. It pointed into the depths of the crater.

"When Dr. Robotnik attacked, I provided many shelter here. I was made to watch for the heroes of light to return. Please, procced." Sephiroth gestured.

They all reluctantly walked towards the crater, and leapt down into it's depths. A large doorway stood before them. Sephiroth knocked seven times, causing a small opening to appear. Passing a small medal, the doors swung open, revealing the hidden base.

"Welcome, Sephiroth. And Gaming Force. You have returned. I shall notify Queen Acorn immediently!" a rabbit saluted.

"..."

Chapter 23

The sweat was pouring down his forehead as his hands tightened around his two swords. Every passing moment seemed to sting with intense pain as he faced his opponent. His heart-beat increased, as if it were to tear in two.

"Eiko! Why have you done this?! You killed...you killed everyone...How could you?! I trusted you! I looked after and loved you! And this is how you act?! Killing my friends and innocent people?!" Joshua yelled angrily

Eiko laughed, before pushing the bright purple hair out of her eyes, before they started to glow with fire. Normally, he weapon would be a staff, but now...She had a large, blood-stained sword, pointed at Joshua.

"...You have very little knowledge...of my plans. Well, before I silence you forever, I'll tell you. I never loved you. Using you was such an easy task. I wanted the power of the Gameboy Jewels. Now, I have thier power. With it, I can revive the power that was sealed away for so long...Come forth! Dark Demon!"

The seven crystals flew into the air, causing dark clouds to swirl around and lightning to strike down. Rain and wind whipped past Joshua, before the very Earth began to spilt. Out of the soil, climbed a bloody, flesh-torn hand. And attached to it was the source of all evil. Sealed away. Killed. But now...it had returned. It's large, black, muscular body towered over Joshua. He put on a grim face and focused.

"It is useless. Give in..."

The Dark Demon pulled out a trident, before it thrust it towards Joshua, who vanished, the re-appeared in the air.

"Eiko...Forgive me...But I can't let you do this. I will do this...my gift to you, so you can no longer (-) yourself..." Joshua solemnly said.

Red beams of energy swirled around Joshua, before he clenched his fists, held them close before he released the energy.

"CHAOS...BLAST!!!"

The explosion surrounded the entire plain, before it vanished. Re-appearing in the void of space. Eiko collapsed, but the Dark Demon looked at Joshua and grinned.

Joshua looked up at the floating figure. A sinister aura surrounded him.

"I am, Joshua Lightwalker...The one who was never meant to exist...the one who's fate is to save the world for eternity...yet I lose all I hold dear...this...is what...I am..." Joshua said, falling to his knees.

"So. Giving up your hope? Your life? Then let me end it for you. You may find peace in oblivion...where...you shall rest." the figure said solemnly.

"Dad...Mom...Everyone...I...I know you all hate me...and what my darkness did was unforgivable...but I intend to end it all here. I will stop my suffering and pain. Darkness within me, Come! Strike me down if you can!" Joshua yelled, drawing his swords.

Blue sparks surrounded Joshua, while Black ones circled around his dark copy. They rushed at each other, causing the ground around them to be torn up. Soil and rocks were thrown everywhere. Joshua looked in surprise as the dark copy lowered his swords.

"You...must not die. The darkness...cannot live without light. You are incomplete. You have no heart. Absorb me. Return to the twilight. From there, the light awaits you. Do not give up."

"...I've already made my choice. I no longer wish to fight. I want to be alone...to spend eternity, in sorrow, for what I am...what I have become...Go. I will not stop you."

"Joshua...Wait. You can't simply..."

"Goodbye. My purpose in life has been diminished. I failed. Farewell, everyone..."Joshua said, before walking off into the night.

Chapter 8: Homes and friends.

>I was beginning to think that everything was getting more darker...Seperated from the others...the destruction of Adis's home...finding Edward...The turn of
events weren't exactly going to our favor. Simply sitting at the controls allowed me a brief release from my thoughts, before I began to ask myself questions...Why was
everything turning out like this? What did the ones of Darkness hope to accomplish from thier vile deeds? They seemed organized...despite thier defeat...and loss of many soliders. Edward was something I didn't understand. The only way you could inheirt those sort of powers was either having them passed on...When I first arrived in the Video Dimension, power I never knew I had was unsealed. But...that wasn't my first visit to this dimension...Dr Ovi Kintobor...When I was born, he took me to the Video Dimension for research. He knew my potential, and locked it away, so it was only unlocked when the time came...< I thought.

Adis was watching the planet disappearing behind us. She seemed sad, but kept a stern face. My siblings...we were taken to an orphanage...after Mum died...They said we were cursed, managing to survive this long by ourselves. People had no faith. No hope for salvation. Everything, wether good or bad, they considered it a bad omen. Me? I don't believe in omens and luck. It seems like rubbish...but...a few nights after we were taken in....

***Flash Back***

17 years ago...

White, cracked walls. Dusty, wooden floor. My younger brothers and sister, my brothers hiding behind me, while I held Jessi in my arms. Rain poured down heavily on the steel roof. Children of all ages woke up. Thunder could be heard in the distance. It grew louder and louder. The dark night sky became violent. Strong winds whipped against the Orphanage. The children raced downstairs, looking around in fright for the care-givers. Empty.

They had fled of cowardiance. The storm continued to become more harsh, as water began to leak into the building. Water dropped on Jessi's head, who started to cry. The children ran around in panic. Lighting. A bolt bright and full of energy struck the roof of the building, causing it to melt and dissolve into oblivion. The cold wind and rain whipped against our bodies. It stung our flesh like sharp needles.

"Wat r wi going to do, Doshua?" a small child asked me, looking up.

I was the oldest one there. I was only 5 years old. Many parents tried to take me home with them...but I refused to leave without my family. I may have been young, but I had a strong bond with them. I would not leave them. Despite being at the orphanage for only a few days, I felt that these over children were also my family. Not as in blood, but as friends. They all looked up to me, when someone bullied another, I stepped in.

I looked up at the sky before another bolt struck the floor. It had connected with some wires, causing them to spark up and a blaze began to grow. Holding the youngest children close to my chest, I ordered everyone to race outside. The fire was burning through the floor and the walls. They seemed to be on the verge of collapse. As we all raced out side, I saw a young girl, a few months younger than me, trip and fall. Handing Jessi to Zac, I raced back and helped her up, before the walls toppled. They fell. I pushed her out of the way, before they collapsed on top of me...Then black...

It seemed I was done for. But something happened. I don't know what though...but....but I think some bright light shone from my pocket. It was my mother's necklace. I didn't know how it saved my life, but it hadn't done so much good for my mother...The walls seemed to vanish, the storm calmed down. Day broke. Sunlight shone down on me as I got to my feet. All of the orphans...they hugged me. I had...saved them all...But...I couldn't figure out what I was going to do now. We all had no home...

***End Flash Back***

I can't believe it happened so long ago...Those memories still remain so clear in my mind. I felt something trickle down my cheek. A single, sparkling tear. I wiped it away slowly. My memories, wether good or bad, brought me pain...because of him...he caused my life as a young child to be so hard. And he still does now.

"I hate you, Dad. I know you...you caused this pain...And because of you....Jessi...She...She...Aaaargh!" I yelled angrily, thumping the controls in anger.

Adis looked over towards me, but I turned away. I didn't want to say anything. I didn't want to think about my past anymore...because of him.

"Dad. I promise you. Even though you keep coming back...I'll make you pay." I angrily muttered to myself.

How little did I know. These words...my thoughts towards him, they burned inside me...my darkness in my heart, increasing.

Chapter Nine: Carratous Chaos

As the J-Wing approached Jazz's home planet, something seemed to make Joshua flinch at the controls. The once green planet had turned to a grey color. Wanting to land as soon as possible, the ship accelerated greatly. Tearing through the atmosphere, causing flames to rush past the ship, while Joshua pressed a button and teleported onto the roof of his ship. He grinned wildly as he dodge pieces of debris, while looking at the planet below through a veil of fire and smoke. Normally, he was scolded by Mr. Dower for doing such a reckless thing, but he wasn't going to let that stop him.

Larger shards of metal collided with the ship, causing Edward to wake up from his sleep and start crying. Adis sighed deeply and hugged him gently before she heard a loud noise. It was Joshua, telling her to look down at the planet. She looked down and gasped, her eyes growing wide.

A large scale battle was now in progress. Many rabbits, squirrels, birds and other animals were firing wildly at the large opposing force. What seemed like thousands of robots, turtles and lizards, attacking with thier own fire-arms. The struggle seemed to be one-sided. The forces of good were winning...until the troops backed off. A large series of mechanical giants, seven in number, stomped forwards. Many of the forces of good were crushed by thier feet. Joshua looked down from above, hatred burning in his eyes.

"Joshua! What are we going to do?!" Adis asked as Joshua walked back into the ship.

He simply let out a small laugh, before he vanishd again, re-appearing on the ground below. The forces of Devan seemed on the verge of victory. Many of the rabbits had pulled back, running past Joshua, who looked at him in shock. How could one boy change the tide of this battle?

His face was shrouded by shadow, before he raised his head, swords in his hands and standing in a strange stance.

"Joshua......" he started.

The enemy forces laughed and drew closer. Joshua smirked.

"TORNADO!"

His body began to spin in a circle, his swords jutted out to the side, cutting through the air, before he made his way through the enemy ranks. His swords sliced through many bodies, sending limbs and other various bloodied body parts into the distance. A few seconds later, he stopped. Most of the army had been obliterated by his single, devestating attack. The seven giants approached. He leapt into the air, and threw his swords into the ground. A huge chasm appeared beneath them, sending them into oblivion, before crushing them as the fissure healed.

The forces of good appeared out from behind thier shelters, instantly rushing past him, inspecting thier wounded and dead soldiers. The J-Wing landed and a smiling Edward ran out towards Joshua, arms outstreched before he picked him up and threw him into the air.

"Yippie!"

Adis looked at him for a second, smiling, then putting on a straight face.

Joshua walked up to her with Edward in his arms.

"Adis...I know that you're mad at me. You're thinking that I should've stayed in the Video Dimension, and none of this would have happened. But my home was in danger. I had to protect it." Joshua said.

"Home?! You would save one planet, at the cost of a peaceful dimension?! Allowing the ones of darkness to take over?!" Adis yelled.

"I didn't have any choice. I had to risk it. This dimension had caused me more pain than you know. Adis." Joshua angrily yelled back.

"How so?! You didn't lose anything while you were here! You had it all! Friends, happiness...a home." Adis retorted.

The army watched them argue, before Joshua put Edward down and dragged Adis aside from earshot.

"Listen. Losing your home is bad. I've experienced that pain myself! Do you have any siblings?!" Joshua yelled.

Adis kept silent, but nodded.

"So do I. You know Zachary...but I had two others. One brother and sister. His name was Dakoda. He was the second youngest out of all of us. He looked up to me. But...that all changed. My little sister...she was called Jessi. She had...bright red hair and eyes. She wore a purple and black outfit when she was twelve years old, but was the youngest out of all of us...then...the day happened. A terrible storm occured. We were living apart from each other, able to fend for ourselves. A large tornado swept through our planet, sweeping up ones who were needed in this time of crisis...You might know of it..." Joshua started.

"The Dimensional War..."

"Right. All of us. My friends and family were taken to Mobius because of it. I landed there, with my sister. She had grown older, she looked like she was fifteen. But...the warp between our dimensions had caused something to go wrong. Our powers were unsealed. But Dakoda...he arrived. He looked different. His black eyes and hair...his dark outfit. He was eighteen. He said that the tornado had given this power to him. The power of darkness. With that, he wounded me with his sword. He left, ignoring Jessi. She lay on the ground, her body shaking..."

Joshua stopped for a few seconds.

"The warp had unleashed the power within her too quickly. Her body couldn't handle it. I had to lay there, helpless as I watched her die. There was nothing I could do...It was many days later...I don't know how I survived, Sonic found us lying there. I begged him to help my sister...he took us back to the resistance...but Jessi had died the same day we arrived here. My powers and abilities were unsealed later, but I hated myself. I couldn't do anything..." Joshua yelled angrily.

Adis stood there, blinking.

"Joshua, I..."

"Why couldn't I do anything?! Why was I so weak?! Argh!" Joshua yelled, punching the ground.

"..."

"I couldn't save her...I couldn't save Mum...I couldn't save...Joshuwa...I...I couldn't even save...her...that...girl..." Joshua shouted, falling to his knees.

"But...You saved..." Adis started.

"I...I'm useless...I can't save anyone I care about...Why?!..." Joshua sobbed, tears flowing down his eyes.

Then, unexpected to everyone, he grabbed his sword and turned towards Adis.

"You...You are the one who's making me remember...these things! Why...Why are you making me suffer?! Do you enjoy torturing me?! Making me relive my shattered past?! Do you?! Adis?!" Joshua yelled angrily.

"Joshua! What are you saying?!" Adis asked, looking shocked and afraid.

Joshua laughed, before tightening his grip around his swords.

"I should have left you there to rot...to die...But...But I had to follow my heart. Knowing that maybe, I'd save you...and I did...at the cost of making me...reminding me of the failures in my life! Adis!"

"Joshua! Wait!"

"Goodbye! This is the end!"

He slashed Adis with his swords, causing her to fly backwards into the air in pain, before landing on the ground with a loud thud. That noise seemed to bring Joshua back to his senses. Looking down at Adis, bleeding. He looked at his swords...his blood-stained hands...

"No...No...NO! How could I do this?! It...It wasn't my..." Joshua started.

He knelt beside Adis. She still drew breath.

"Quick! Get her to a doctor! Save her!" Joshua ordered.

Suddenly, everything went dark...

Chapter Ten: The Darkening.

Dark shadows began to circle around the planet. Everyone vanished from Joshua's sight. Nothing but a black void. But why was he here? He wasn't going to die!

"Welcome. Again, Joshua. I see you've upset the balance in your heart. A voice called from the depths.

The dark black void seemed to take a hold on Joshua, making him unable to move. Two angelic wings sprouted from his back, before one began to turn black. It's basic feathery shape changed slowly. It grew sharp and pointed. Black. A demon's wing. One wing of light, the other of darkness.

"You stand before me, Joshua Lightwalker, to see if are still worthy of remaining in the Light. You're actions have caused you to fall. You stand on the brink. Below is darkness. It is eternal. Wether you fall into that abyss is still what you make it. You stand in the twilight. Not in the dark, and not in the light. In this state, there are only two roads. One to a neverending night..." a replica of Joshua appeared, sprouting two demonic wings, red eyes and causing destruction. "Where one leads to the day.What you once were before. Your actions will now be judged. Whichever path you choose is going to be determined by your actions..." the voice called.

A small explosion of dark energy erupted around Joshua.

"What?"

"The darkness in you is released. The powers of the dark are now yours to weild. If you choose to weild them or not is your choice. Note, that this will not effect our decision. To be one of the light, you must know the dark." the voice called.

Joshua stood there.

"Who are you?"

The voice remained silent.

"Now is not the time to speak my name. I hope that you return to the light...for both our sakes...I may not have a pysical form, but I will try to aid you if you wish. I don't want you to end up failing to save yourself...Your friend...the one called Adis. She hangs between life and death. Your response to this question will determine her fate. Answer truthfully." the voice called.

Joshua had a grim expression on his face. All this information was hard to take in.

"Do you...Desire different friends? Different enemies? Ones weaker or stronger than you? Do you desire another girl? Does your heart belong to two? Do you realise who they are? Do you truly love and care for them?"

Joshua remained silent.

"Speak."

"At times, I wish I did have other friends...but I know that we've been so much together. I wouldn't want any other friends by my side. The forces of darkness, are all equally powerful. They desire power. To rule. No enemy is a threat while the forces of light prevail...Another girl...Yes. I know who they are. But my feelings are sealed away. I cannot risk getting them into danger."

"Or is it that you know you'd have a serious flaw. A weakness?"

"No. My friends are notmy weakness. They are my strength!"

Silence.

"...You speak the truth. You may return to the light yet...I wish you succeed. Remember. We are watching...but if you call, I will help you. Just open your heart. Your friend, Adis lives. You care for her. But...be careful..." the voice called.

"Huh?"

"Girls, sometimes they can get very angry. If that happens, you better wait it out and come back and ask why when the calm down. Joshua...Try...to remember me...Please...It may be hard...but when you do...you'll see why. Goodbye for now, Joshua."

The dark void vanished. Joshua found himself standing in the J-Wing's bridge, looking out at the war torn planet. He remembered Adis and raced to the medical quaters...

Chapter Eleven: Plans for Retaliation

As the group walked down the large corridor towards Queen Sally's royal chambers, Zac felt something. A small surge of Darkness seemed to come from his brother. Feeling grim, he kept walking, remaining silent. Most of the base was made up of Medical and Living facilities. It seemed there wasn't many training grounds. He shook his head. Did they expect to win by simply weilding weapons an going to battle? They'd be more likely to injure themselves...shrugging his shoulders, he ran after the others.

The hallway ended, revealing a set of large doors. Opening them, Gaming Force was surprised at the size of the room. It was small. The walls were white in color, while up a small flight of stairs sat a single throne. Queen Sally was sitting there, thinking. Toxic sneezed, causing Sally to flinch, before noticing the heroes that had entered the room. Walking down the stairs, they bowed with respect, before she stood before them. Her outfit had not changed much. The same blue vest and shoes. She had a small smile on her face.

"You've returned to our dimension...in our time of need. You all would have realised...that we are at war from the forces of Darkness, correct? The first attack caught us all off guard. A huge army, larger than the one in the Great Gigatron, swept through our planet, causing us to retreat. Many of us have been captured, but more have been killed. I fear we may have little time left before they find us here...Our forces are only 12,000 in number. We've lost all communication with the other planets..." Sally started.

Zac frowned, before stamping his foot angrily.

"Dang it! This stinks!" Zac groaned.

Seb kept silent.

"Hm? And who are these two? I've never seen them before." Sally asked.

Toxic stepped forward.

"My name is Toxic. And behind me is Veneno. We used to be mercenaries on Earth, before S.P.I.K.E tried to hire us. You see, they were going to destroy all resistance. When Gaming Force returned, they became a serious threat to S.P.I.K.E, so all mercenaries either worked for S.P.I.K.E, or were executed. Both of us, although we had gone our seperate ways before that, were almost killed. There was no way I was going to work for S.P.I.K.E! They wouldn't even pay you, or so I heard..." Toxic started.

"Correction, You almost got killed. I didn't have any problems. Although, it was kinda hard to resist getting paid 20 million..." Veneno interrupted

"...Anyway, we are running out of time. We are slowly dying off because of our injuries. Many have surrendered. We are all that remain. Gaming Force...You are our last hope." Sally sighed.

Seb grabbed his axe.

"Hah. I've never had any doubts. We've always come through. Nothing is going to stop us! While we are here, the forces of Darkness will not prevail!" Seb yelled

Loud cheers could be heard all around them. Zac gave a thumbs up, while Septhiroth simply crossed his arms and smiled. Veneno looked around at the cheering faces, even the wounded who had used thier strength to stand.

Eiko looked around, trying to see if Joshua was among them. But there was no sign of him.

"Joshua...Be safe. Don't let the darkness in you win." She whispered.

Chapter 12 (A) : Recovery.

After a few minutes of making his way through the J-Wing, he found what he was searching for. The Medical Quaters. Walking slowly down the corridors which would led him to
Adis, he tripped over, hurting himself. Getting up after a few seconds, he brushed himself off, before reaching into his backpack and used a potion. The healing liquid flowed through his body, bringing back some of his energy. He reached for the door to the emergancy room, but hesitated. He grabbed the handle and opened the door.

"So, we're having difficulty finding signs of life, yet she still lives. The injury wasn't a sever as previously thought. Perhaps some part of hi..." one of the rabbits started, before looking at Joshua.

"...I'm here...to see Adis..." Joshua said quietly.

The lead rabbit looked at him with a strange glare, before poking Joshua with a scapel.

"Ow! What was that for?!" Joshua yelled.

"I need to know if you're one of us. Even though you obliterated Devan's strike force, we need to see if your working for him. You struck down the one you called 'Adis'. Is everything working in that head of yours, boy?"

Joshua reached into his backpack and pulled out a sparkling crystal. It was green in color, and glowed brightly in his hand. Energy gauges began to rise rapidly. The rabbits stepped back, looking at Joshua with shock.

"I don't care wether you think I am working for Devan or not. It's my own fault that this happened. Just let me talk to her." Joshua replied.

The rabbit shook his head.

"What? Why?"

"I cannot allow you to endanger her life any further. She will be kept under survailance on Carratous..." the rabbit started.

Two footsteps could be heard approaching. As the door opened, a rabbit, about Joshua's height, which had yellow fur and wore a purple shirt and shorts. Another walked in, taller than the first, green in color, with a red headband. Finally, the last one walked in, he looked like he had too much coffee. His fur was red.

"The Jackrabbit Siblings! W-What are you doing here?!" the rabbit asked.

Jazz straightened his headband, before he walked next to Joshua.

"I came here, as soon as I heard the important information that was relayed to me. That human, there, is Joshua Lightwalker, The Ultimate Gamer. His brother, Zac led our army to victory. I thought you had left for your own dimension, Joshua. I'm surprised you came back." Jazz explained.

Joshua smiled, before thrusting his hand forward.

"Listen. I don't want to hurt her. I'm going to talk to her. Please."

The rabbits nodded, before they walked out of the room, leaving only him, Adis and Lori in the room.

"So who's that there, Joshua? Your new girlfriend?" Lori teased.

Joshua went bright red at the remark.

"N-No! I...I rescued her when she was wounded on Earth. She came through one of the portals." Joshua explained.

Lori kept silent.

"Well, you know, it's probably for the best you don't get tied up with too many girls. You've already got enough weakness, Joshua. Not everyone you save can defend themselves...I on the other hand...Well, you know how we met, right?" Lori asked.

Joshua nodded.

"I hope your friend gets better. I'll leave you two alone, later!" Lori smiled, before kissing Joshua gently on the cheek, causing him to even redder.

"That's for saving me...I never got to say thanks....so Thank You..."

And Lori left the room. As Joshua walked towards the unconcious Adis, many feelings were going through him. Guilt, sorrow, hatred? No. She wasn't the one to blame for all this. He was the one at fault. He looked at the small scar across her side. He grimaced at the sight. Blood had stained her fur/feathers. Reaching a hand forward, a glowing energy surrounded it, reminding Joshua of the Gameboy Jewel.

"Adis..."

He placed it back in his backpack, before touching the wound. Instantly, white light surged from his hand, covering Adis's body in a white aura. The power caused her to float for a few seconds, before being set down gently. Her eyes opened slowly, looking up, she saw Joshua, trying to smile. She sat up, before Joshua looked away. Adis gently grabbed his arm and looked at him.

"Joshua...Don't cry. I know that you've been through alot. When you attacked me, something happened. This voice told me about certain parts of your childhood...and how I reminded you...of the things..." Adis started.

"Adis. I don't want to risk your life. You're going to slow me down if I take you and Edward with me, so I'll leave you here, under the royal guard..."

"What?! You won't do such a thing! I know you think I'm going to make you remember more, but we can get through it if we stick together! I know I can't fight, but I want to be with you, Joshua. I...I don't want to be left by myself...I want to stay with you...I...." Adis started to cry.

Joshua looked at her crying, before he lifted her face gently, and wiped the tears from her eyes. He smiled.

"Adis. If this is what you want, then you can stay with me. It's better to have someone keep me company, even if you do remind me. I'll tell you more as I remember...but...before we do...I need you to promise me something. Adis. If I lose myself to the Darkness, I want you to strike me down. I know it would be hard, but I'd try to avoid hurting you until I lose myself completly...but I don't want that to happen. Adis. I want you...to stay with me. I...I know it may seem kind of shocking...but when I saw you the first time, you reminded me of someone. I don't remember who, but sooner or later I will...." Joshua happily smiled.

Adis looked up at Joshua, smiling happily, before she wrapped her wings around him and hugged him. His face turned red. He hugged her back before looking her in the eyes, smiling...

Chapter 13: The Opposites Meet. (B) Note: (A) is Light, (B) is Netural and (C) is dark.

Laser fire could be heard from the outside of the J-Wing. Some of the energy bolts struck the ship, causing it to shake violently, before Joshua, Jazz, Spaz, Lori and Adis had raced outside. Another giant robot had appeared. It was about ten meters in height, painted in silver and it seemed two large, smoking laser cannons were pointed directly at them. Joshua looked up and smirked. In the cockpit was none other, than the evil, Devan Shell.

"Hey, Shell Beak! Bet you didn't expect to see me back here so soon, huh?" Joshua laughed.

There was silence, before Devan straighten his glasses and focused the laser cannons at Joshua.

"Listen. I don't have time for your games. Just retreat while you can." Joshua threatened.

Devan smiled wickedly, before locking his sights on Joshua. The cannons charged up, before unleashing thier wave of deadly energy. As it flew through the air towards Joshua, he simply put up a hand. The lasers collided into his palm, causing the energy to fly in all directions.

"I assume you don't know the new me. My powers have grown since we met last, Devan. But know, the Darkness favours me. Watch, as I turn you and your robot to scrap metal. I hope you like the heat it's going to cause....because you're going straight to hell!" Joshua shouted.

>?!<

A small sphere of purple energy began to circle around Joshua, electrons surging from his body to the sphere. It grew larger in size as the energy it contained increased. Joshua had no control over what he was doing.

>Stop! This isn't right!< he told himself.

>Wrong...Perhaps it's time...I removed myself from you...< the thought ran through his head.

Joshua's body became cold, before everything vanished from sight. All that was left was a barren wasteland. No sign of live was anywhere, all tht remained of civilization was a large city and castle, ruined in the distance. He looked at the dead vegetation, rotting beneath his feet. It was a carrot!

"I see you are pleased with my vision. Maybe, you're not so foolish after all..." the voice called.

Joshua fell to his knees, his head beginning to ache slightly, before it became more painful, until the point where it felt it was going to burst! A dark shadow erupted from his mind, slowly changing in front of his very eyes, before he saw an entire siloute of himself.

"What you see here...Is what I plan to do with this pathetic planet. It's nothing put an energy source to fuel my power. All life, after my invasion...will simply wither and die. Millions will fall, innocent people, children..." the shadow spoke, showing Joshua the destruction.

"However...I have something for this pathetic species of creatures...salvation. These...lifeforms cannot be trusted with thier own lifes, throwing them away. You expected someone to cause the return of Dr. Ivo Robotnik? That was I. Who was it that help Devan return from the fiery depths of hell? Me. But thier purpose will soon be complete, as will yours. I have been using you all from the start. I even planned for the one called, Adis to arrive in your dimension. For ages I spent in the depths of your mind, hidden, waiting to break free...and I did. When you left...I emerged into existance. What you see before is a mere copy. Being in my true prescence would result in your death...but I offer you a choice, Joshua..." the shadow smiled.

"Let me ask you something first. How did you break free?"

"...It started when you arrived here for the first time. I easily corrupted your brother's mind, turning him to the shadows. But...I existed long ago...far before your ancestor, Sir Johnathan Lightwalker was born. In the start of all stories, there is always darkness where there is light. I was that darkness. I spurred on men to fight with each over, over fame, wealth...or simple blood-lust. But something happened. The forces of Light sealed me away. Until they could find one to withstand me. They chose Johnathan Lightwalker. His purity made him resistant to my darkness...but that changed. Soon, I was controlling him, killing all, until I no longer needed his body, and formed the Omega Knights. My first physical existance in this world. Even though this was many years ago, I had created myself a body...but Johnathan...he realised what he had done, and struck us all down. His light stopped all of us except...your father. He was a strong warrior...." The Shadow continued.

"Enough, you vile spawn of darkness!"

"No...I am what the pure darkness is. My physical body is what I plan to resurrect. With it, I shall be immortal. My powers may be in your mind, but I can easily move from one to another...I can even control the ones you love..." the shadow laughed.

Joshua drew his swords in anger.

"You stay away from them! Especially Adis and Eiko!" Joshua yelled angrily.

"But what about the other girls you care for? Can you protect them from me? Fool. You would not be able to find those you have saved. Even if you did, I would control a host. I desire power. And you are goingg to lead me to it!"

Joshua fell to his knees. The shadow was right.

"...Y-You...You sick monster...I...I should strike you down!" Joshua yelled.

"And at the cost of your own flesh and blood? If so, then do it! Strike yourself down, and save this dimension!" the Shadow offered.

Joshua's swords shoke, edging closer to his chest, before he dropped his swords.

"Weakling. You fear death. This is your fate. You fear the darkness...and that is what you will become. Or is it the promise you made to that girl? You said you would stay with her, correct?" The Shadow asked.

Joshua drew something from his back-pack. A large, glowing gem.

"The Ultima Forge..." Joshua muttered.

"So...You'd use it to destroy me? Wish me away? Fool. The light has already began to leave you! Look!"

It was true. The Ultima Forge's light had diminished. It looked like an ordinary stone.

"And since...the light is leaving you, the Gameboy Crystals will cease to aid you. Darkness...As long as I live, darkness is all you will have..."

The scenery vanished. All returned to normal. The purple orb...it disintergrated, Devan laughed before locking on Joshua again.

"Goodbye, Ultimate Gamer!"

A bright flash of light blocked Joshua's sight, as the laser approached. A series of bullets collided with the robot and laser, causing Devan to fall back. As he retreated from the hail of fire, Joshua looked down at his hands.

"..."

The others walked over towards him. Joshua turned away.

"What happened?! You were going to toast him, then you just freeze up! Are you alright?" Jazz asked.

Joshua ignored his question, but began to walk off towards the J-Wing. Before anyone had a chance to follow him, a huge wall of jagged rocks blocked thier path. Forming a shield around the J-Wing. Walking to his own quarters, he sat down on his bed, and put his head into his hands. What could he do now? That shadow was unlike anything he knew, forcing Joshua to accept the truth. He was weak. There was no way he could do this now...

"Joshua...Don't give up. You are the only hope for this dimension!" the voice from his mind called.

"I can. This is...This isn't who I'm meant to be. Sometimes...I wish I had simply died ages ago..." Joshua cried.

"...They...All of us....even if we tried...we couldn't even hope to triumph. I've already failed..." Joshua sobbed.

"...If you give up now, you will lose all chance for redemption. Your promise you made to Adis would be broken. Don't you care for her? Don't you love her?"

Joshua looked at his fists, anc clenched them hard.

"...I care about every living thing. Even if they aren't my friend. I know, even though some hearts may be lost to the darkness forever, I know there is some who can still be saved. But...how can I save myself? My power..." Joshua started.

"It...It will return. Free your mind from doubt. And look at the Ultima Forge. You see...If you let your heart be tied to the emotions of sadness, you will fall. Your friends are always there for you. Even though the Darkness grows, you will find a way. You hold the way. Your heart is the light for this dimension."

Joshua kept silent, before looking up at the ceiling, searching for the speaker.

"Thank you..." Joshua said softly. A small smile crept across his face. Outside, the wall of stone crumbled to dust, the heroes rushed inside to find no sign of Joshua, before they looked outside at the starry sky. Joshua was standing there, eyes focused on the sky above. A shooting star falling. He closed his eyes and opened them again. He looked down and motioned to them all to come and sit with him. All of them managed to get on top of the J-Wing. Adis slipped, but her hand was grabbed by Joshua, who looked at her, smiling.

As they all looked up at the starry sky, Sleep eventually came, but...one did not sleep. He stood up, watching them before walking off towards a nearby place....where he found solitude....

Personallity: Usually calm and easygoing, but can also be strict and serious. His emotions can change easily due to certain things. He tries not to lose his anger over certain matters.

Bio: Originaly going to have a short life after his birth, he was taken to the Video Dimension by Doctor Ovi Kintobor. He was only two at the time, and met a few other scientists, Dr Neo Cortex. Doing a vast amount of research, and sealing his powers away which would kill him, they sent him back to Earth, who had a difficult life, raising his fellow siblings after his mother's death, and his father's disappearance. When he was five, they were taken in by an orphanage, but they were only allowed there for a week before they were chasen off.

Meeting his friends when he was eight years old, they all formed a tight bond, before going thier seperate ways. It was Joshua's fifteen birthday, and a large cyclone swept him into the Video Dimension, unsealing his powers. His adventures began to find out how to get home...Or something like that...

Chapter 14: Invaded!

Back on Mobius, training sessions were occuring every twenty minutes. As Seb and Zac trained soldiers used to close combat with weapons, Veneno and Toxic were pointing out technquies for getting the most out of thier fire-arms. The very few left were healers, taught advanced White Magic by Aisha and Eiko. It was only a matter of time until most of the troops had managed to get a solid grasp of thier own abilites. All of the results were shown to Queen Sally, who nodded with approval.

"...We may not have the largest army, but we have the leaders and the knowhow to use thier talents. Despite our situation, we may be able to claim back some of our planet from Robotnik's clutches. A large factory is to the far north in the frozen icecaps. Another of our resistance groups are hiding there, but very little would remain alive. Our last transmission was at least a few months before all communication was jammed..." Sally sighed.

"Hah. Sounds like my kind of job. I'd suggest we only take a small amount of soldiers though. Everyone else will remain here. I shouldn't have any problems with the terrain." Zac boasted.

Queen Sally shook her head.

"We can't risk your life for a mission with small succeess. Even if there are survivors...we still might..." Sally was cut off by a loud explosion from the entrance. All of Gaming Force raced to see the guards thrown aside by an unknown force, until it came into view. Two large demonic creatures had burst through the defences.

"It's Bubba! And Blisy! I thought those two were destroyed!" Aisha yelled to Zac.

"...They're demons. They'll keep coming back! So we'll have to stop em' here!" Zac ordered.

Seb rushed forward, leaping high into the air, spinning his axe in a circle, before a large wall of electricity shot straight upwards through the ground. They were repelled for a few moments, giving the soldiers to ready thier weapons.

"Fire!"

A large barrage of laser fire headed straight towards the demons, before it created a large explosion, throwing them all in different directions. Queen Sally was knocked out when she was forced into a wall, before her throat was grabbed by the large red demon with a cape. Before it had a chance to attack, a blue blur of speed crashed straight into Blisy's back, causing him to vanish in a cloud of smoke.

"Heh! Long time no see, guys!" the blue figure laughed.

"Sonic!"

Some of the soldiers stepped back as Bubba approached, before a large sword pierced straight through his chest, causing him to explode in flame. The sword was drawn back, before the figure cleaned it of blood.

"Hmph. Not as tough as they seem." Septhiroth smiled.

Blisy re-appeared at the entrance.

"Fools! The location of your base is now known to the Darkness! Soon, this base will be obliterated within a matter of hours! You will all...Argh!!!"

Veneno and Toxic had blasted Blisy with thier plasma rifles, sending Blisy back to hell. As the soldiers rushed to treat any of the wounded, Sonic ran to Sally's side. Most of the base was covered in flame from Blisy's and Bubba's arrival. Many of the soldiers were still alive, much to everyone's relief. Eiko and Aisha raced to help the wounded, casting healing magic. Zac put out the fires that burned brightly.

Later...

"We have little choice. We must flee this place before we are attacked in full force. Our best option is to head to the Northern Reaches." Queen Sally claimed.

"Ro-butt-nik would be waiting for that. On land or going by sea, we'd be annihlated...Is there any other way?" Sonic asked.

Queen Sally moved over towards her throne, before pushing it gently to the left. Almost instantly, a staircase into darkness appeared.

"This is our other option. We can't leave our people like this. Joshua's concerns about getting us to safety will have to wait. Our planet must be freed!" Sally yelled.

Many of them cheered, while Seb and Zac put on a stern face.

"Your Highness. The path we are about to take may no longer work. What if Robotnik has discovered it? We'd be throwing our lives away. Even if we did go, he'd only follow us when he'd invade. Some of us will have to stay here to distract them...But, they'd have to be good fighters. Able to escape when enough time has been bought. Veneno's in no condition to run...I'll be better off with the others, in case our path is blocked..." Seb suggested.

"That's fine with me. I haven't exactly had a good brawl lately. Toxic, you with me?" Zac asked.

"Nah...I'd be following Veneno."

"Just you and me David. Bet ya I can trash more of these buckets of bolts than you can! I'll shatter them!" Zac yelled.

David drew his mace and punched Zac in the arm. He looked down at him and laughed.

"Good luck with that, shorty! After this, we'll get out of here with the StrongGale. Just me, Zac and Sephiroth, fighting off the bad guys! This is gonna be a blast!" David laughed, throwing his mace into the air and catching it.

"Hmph. Perhaps. We'll see if Robotnik's actually going to be any stronger..."

Chapter 15: The Lost Libarary (A)

As Adis and Joshua waved goodbye to the army on Carratous, Spaz had joined them on thier journey, much to Adis's surprise. The partly mad rabbit raced around the ship, full of energy, before blasting targets in the training room.

"Are you sure he's going to be helpful? He seems...insane." Adis whispered.

Joshua laughed before looking back at Adis over the controls. His face seemed more peaceful than usual.

"He's a good shot. And I might not always be armed. Without my swords or powers, I can't fight. I'm not exactly the sort of person to talk my way out of a fight...Hopefully, where we are going next, shouldn't have must destruction. But...I've forgotten that this war has changed everything. We're running out of time. I can feel it in my body...it won't be long before it begins...he's coming...then, nothing can stop him..." Joshua groaned.

As the J-Wing continued through space, many planets they went past showed no signs of life. It was as if it had vanished without a trace. Joshua knew too well what was happening to this dimension...

"He's like a Vampire...draining all of the energy out of the planets and all life that's on them....Hey! Look out!" Joshua yelled to everyone before something was heading straight towards them at a rapid speed.

"!!!"

Joshua pressed a button and teleported onto the top of the ship. Spaz followed, while Adis and Edward watched through the glass. A large, multi-tentecle monster had grabbed the ship, and was beginning to put the squeeze on it! Drawing his lightsaber, he leapt at the monster's head, stabbing the green energy blade deep. It let out a roar of pain before the sound waves threw Joshua into the air. Spaz aimed his blaster carefully at the eyes, before letting out a hail of laser. The monster was shaken.

"Let's see you dodge this!" Joshua yelled.

He drew his keyblade, before hurling it at the monster. It cut through the tentecles, before returning to Joshua's hands. He smiled confidently as it was hit with more laser fire. It let out another yell of anger before it grabbed Joshua around the waist. He began to struggle, before he smirked.

"Big mistake...Omega...Disperse!"

A large sphere of energy began to form around Joshua, before it enveloped both him and the monster. Joshua had gotten out of it's grip, before looking at his foe, his eyes flashing red.

"NOW!"

The energy suddenly exploded! It hit the monster with full force, causing it to be vaporized instantly. Joshua simply landed on the ship, before throwing all of his weapons into the air, then using the force, caused them to spiral around him, causing a dazzling display of color.

"A Space Kraken. Strange...I thought those were extinct ages before our time..." Adis commented.

"...I've decided. We're going to the Lost Libarary. I need some answers..." Joshua said.

As the ship continued on it's course, it seemed every star was like an eye, watching forever. This caused Joshua to feel slightly uneasy. Something moved in the depths of his memory...but what was it? A memory of joy or sorrow? He closed his eyes and focused. It seemed...happy.

"Adis...I've remembered something...We might as well talk while we wait to get to the libaray. Heh...It's not exactly something I'd usually do...but I promised, didn't I?" Joshua smiled.

As they all sat down around Joshua, he closed his eyes, before everything went black...

>It was after the incident at the oprhanage. We'd all managed to get out of there safely. That girl...she was always following me, no matter where we went. It took us a few days to find shelter, and many of us were cold and hungry. Me and Zac, although he couldn't talk well, we had to do something. It was a few more hours later until we were found. A young toddler with blonde hair was walking with his parents. He pointed at us and his parents followed him. That was when we first met Seb. Although we had just met, it felt like we knew each other. His parents took us all in. They were very wealthy and we were all well looked after. Wanting to repay them somehow, me and Zac went of to get a job. We delivered various things. Pizza, Newspapers and fast food. It was kind of strange, but we were paid well. As most of the orphans were capable of looking after themselves, they left, thanking me...<

"That must have been lucky you met Seb, huh?" Adis smiled.

Joshua nodded, before continuing.

>My sister and brother were five years old, I was about ten, and Zac was 8. Seb was the same age as Zac. The girl that kept following was still staying with me. She kept on going red everytime I looked in her direction. All of us had a great talent for Video Games, but it was two years later, that Seb's parents passed away. Jessi was comforting him as much as she could, and she grew attached to him. We all kept going on, Seb continuing on his family buisness. It was another month until we went to school. It was there I met my rival...David StrongGale. We instantly got off to a friendly rivalry over Video Games. It was a close competion, but neither of us won...Those days, were fun...I had friends...and a home...<

"So what about the girl? Was she cute? How did she..." Adis started.

"...She was very pretty. She'd probably be a lot more beautiful now, but...she died when she turned twelve...But...Okay...I'll try...to explain this as quickly, so I can't feel so much pain..." Joshua sighed.

>Her name...Her name was Rachel. She...she had long brown hair and green eyes. She always had a smile on her face, which was a pale white. She was very frail when I met her, but she grew strong over the years. She'd never leave my side, always holding my hand. She had liked me since I saved her at the orphanage. Perhaps eariler. I was out of town with my friends, helping other people in need, while she stayed in the city. I told her it would be dangerous if she came, but I shouldn't have told her...It was a few days later, and we were coming back from our journey. Everything seemed normal, until something blue appeared in the sky. A bright star flew down and crashed into the city. A large explosion consumed the entire city, and we were caught in the edge of the blast...<

"Wat happened?" Edward asked.

>We were badly bruised, but alright. Seb and Zac were shaken up quite a bit, but me and David walked into the ruins of the city. Around us was nothing but fires and destruction. No signs of life could be seen. A small, faint voice called out, and I raced over to it. I moved the pile of rocks, to see Rachel, bleeding severly. She looked up at my face. Blood was staining her beautiful face and clothes. Tears filled her eyes. I...I remember what she said...'Joshua...I don't want to die...I love you too much...Ever since we met...you protected me...I even made this...a necklace to protect you. I found this jewel, shining brightly when I lied here. I managed to...make it for you...It's my gift to you..." she said.
I asked her what I should do? Could I help her? Get help? But...I knew there wasn't anything I could do...'Joshua...I see...a bright light...I may...die...but I'll be in your heart...and you'll be in mine...so...don't cry. I know we'll meet again...' She used her last strength to kiss me on the cheek, before her eyes closed, her heart stopped. At first, I thought she was simply asleep. I shaked her gently, asking her to wake up, but no response. This was the first time I'd ever seen someone die before my eyes...The necklace I wear...It was her gift to me.<

Joshua opened his eyes, and put on a small smirk.

"And...And that's most of it...some...some of my memories have still to return...but...they'll return after we go to the libaray...Adis, make sure we get there...I need to go and rest." Joshua explained.

"Wait."

Joshua span around slowly to see Adis looking up at him.

"You need to be strong. Just stay with me out here. I don't want to have to see you cry." Adis said.

"Adis..."

Chapter 16: Robot Rampage!

As Zac placed his knuckles made of ice shards, he looked around and created a large wall of ice. As it reached towards the roof, thier reflections shone in the ice, creating the illusion that there was more than one of them. As Zac and David exchanged a high five, Sephiroth grabbed his sword.

"They come...Sooner than expected. No matter, we'll show them our power." he smirked.

As the barrage of laser fire went through the walls of ice, Zac quickly created another. The lasers rebounded off the wall, straight back at the robots. A large series explosions could be heard, as well as shattering ice. The shards fell slowly through the air, twinkling brightly, before more lasers greated them. David swung his mace in a full circle, before stopping. A giant shock-wave ripped forward, tearing through more of the enemy lines. A large missile landed between the three, before Zac sealed it in ice, reducing the explosion radius. Sephiroth was calmly slicing through his foes, before he stopped to wash his sword.

[Useless to resist...Surrend...]

The robot exploded as soon as David slammed his mace down on it's head. Sparks went through the air. More robots, sharp and deadly approached.

"Ice Wall!"

A large wall of icy spikes appeared and slid forward, impaling most of the robots as it headed towards a nearby fire. Zac smiled at David.

"That's 51! How are you doing?!" Zac laughed.

"...46. Don't get cocky. Sephiroth might have more..."

"...218. Newbies. I was kind of expecting something impressive...Hah. I've only got 73."

As they kept felling nearby robots, they retreated before a large round object appeared. Zac walked up to it, before it started to blink.

"RUN!"

A large explosion ripped the ground above them into oblivion. Lasers from above limited thier movement as they tried to find cover, before a loud set of footsteps could be heard. A large mech, at least 14 meters tall over-shadowed them. It was silver in color, with lasers and other weapons mounted on it. Buzzsaws rushed past the cockpit, before they saw an angry Dr. Robotnik.

"...Hey, Eggboy! Was' up? Looking for something?" Zac laughed.

"Fools. You may be delaying my efforts to find that blasted resistance, but I'll crush you all here. This is my greatest invention, the Egg Crusher. Able to drop bombs to wipe out at least 2 kilometers of terrain, obliterating all life in it. Not only that, I've refixed the design. No weak points you bugs can exploit...."

"...You should inform these worms...that I assisted you in this...machine." a voice echoed.

A large figure, red in color, drapped in a black, torn cape with two green eyes looked down at them.

"I presume you know this CO leader of the Black Hole Army, Sturm. I revived him with my advanced technology, helping the forces of darkness build our empire! You all will fall before our might! Now, die!"

A rain of artillerary fire rained down on the heroes, causing them to scatter. Zac and David looked at the robot.

"Go! Get out of here! I'll hold them off!" Sephiroth yelled.

"No! You can't do this by..."

A large series of comets came down from the sky, blocking the Egg Crusher from making any progress. Sephiroth's hair was being blown back by the force.

"I...I can hold him off for a few minutes. This should give you enough time to escape. Don't worry about me. I've got plenty of tricks...I'll meet you at our destination!"

They all nodded, before Zac and David ran off, followed by a swarm of robots...

Chapter 18: Darkness's Grasp (C)

As the J-Wing slowly descended towards the planet below, Joshua stared out at the building. Fire and smoke circled around it, before Joshua got angry and leapt towards the ground. Adis, Spaz and Edward watched as he charged forward, slicing through many of the soldiers of darkness that got in his way. He smashed through the debris, covering the doorway, before he found a large metallic door closed behind him.

"It seems your determination to find the truth is impecible...but you don't realise what you've done, have you? This libaray stores the power I need to begin my revival. You thought this place was one of knowledge? Fool. For eons, I waited here, gathering information from those foolish enough to come here, learning all I needed to know. With you here, I can break the seal holding me back...but I'd like to reward you..."

Joshua stepped back up against the door, away from the voice.

"To become my servant is the greatest thing for anyone. You will kneel before me and submit your will to me. Resistance is useless. You cannot escape. And now...Witness my rebirth!"

A large crystal suddenly emerged in the libaray. Bolts of dark energy shot into it, causing it to glow brightly as the power inside increased. Seeing no other option, he hurled himself into the crystal, making it fall to the ground and shatter. The energy flew into the air, spinning wildly before it all collided into Joshua's body. He was thrown backwards into the air, before landing on the ground with a thud.

"Argh...Pe..rsistant...Fool...I'm not...done yet! I shall control you if I cannot have a physical body! Yah!"

Purple bolts of lightning surrounded Joshua, making him shake violently, before he drew his sword.

"...Ngh...I...I'm not...letting you!"

"You can't stop...me. I've already begun to take control...watch..."

Joshua's body suddenly floated into the air, before being thrown to the ground with terrific force. He landed heavily on the marble floor, coughing up a small amount of blood. His eyes shone purple, before the energy left him and began to fuse with the blood.

"Gah...I shall be reborn!"

The pool of blood vanished, before a large explosion of darkness consumed the ground in front of Joshua. A shadow emerged from the dust, and laughed. The figure wore a long cape, black hair and pale skin. His eyes flashed red and his fangs were long and covered with blood. His eyes adjusted to his surroundings, before looking down at Joshua with a wicked smile.

>You don't give up do you? Very well. If you seek to resist me, I'll destroy you myself. You will end here. Light...Darkness and all other living things will fall around you as you perish. With your energy, I can be completly restored...now. Come. Show me what you can do!<

Joshua drew his second sword and rushed at the vampire. A large bookshelf began to collapse, threatening to collapse on them both. Joshua thrust a hand into the air and pushed it back with the force, leaving him defensless. He was rammed into with great speed, a cloud of smoke loomed around him, before jagged spikes stabbed into Joshua's body. A strange toxin made it's way through his veins. Seeing the vampire reform, Joshua leapt into the air and threw a random explosive at his foe. The blast threw him back, but there was nothing but a large hole in the marble floor.

"Pathetic. Watch...THIS!"

A huge vortex of energy suddenly opened out of nowhere, sucking them both in. Inside was complete darkness. The vampire used this opportunity to strike with his talons and fangs. Blood gushed freely from his wounds, before the sub-dimension vanished, leaving Joshua on his knees, while the vampire stood above him, gloating.

"I...I've got no...other option...Darkness! Awaken!"

Joshua's body vanished, before it re-appeared above the vampire, dark energy flowing into his body, his wounds stopped bleeding, and his face was covered with shadow. Two demonic wings sprouted out from his back, before the changes were complete. He had used the darkness to save himself. At least he could fight this monster on his own terms. Quicker than thought, he raced towards his foe, a purple trail of energy following him until he slashed with both his swords. A large gaping hole could be seen, the body of his foe had been cut clean in two. He looked at Joshua with anger.

"Not...going to die...yet! Witness...My act of destruction! Absorbing the life of all on this planet that is not of darkness, I will be restored. My wounds can easily be healed. Now, energy! COME TO ME!"

The ground seemed to shake, before it split open, all living things fell into the chasms around the planet into the abyss. There, thier bodies were turned into energy, which in turn pulsed straight into the Dark One's body. His eyes flashed red, as he grew larger. The libaray simply collapsed, before Joshua was looking up at his foe. He was at least twenty meters tall.

"Ah...My power swells within me...I have consumed so many of your former friends and their homes!! You cannot hope to stop me!"

The Dark One grabbed Joshua in his hand, before hurling him into the depths of space....

"Enjoy your trip to oblivion."

Chapter 19: Floating through Oblivion (A)

>The depths of oblivion. I'd never thought I'd end up here...heh, I never even knew that it would be like this. Nothing but darkness...a large void of shadows. Lives of those who were lost, people who were
(-)ed to wander for eternity. Those who'd be defeated by the forces of light. I wasn't expecting get out of this place easily...I didn't even know if such a way of escape was possible. If my father and Assassin Aharon could return from here...I...No. They were ones of the darkness. A necissity to both this dimension...and mine. The forces of light had no power here. If I was going to escape, I was going to muster all of the darkness inside me...but could I use such power?<

Voices of doubt echoed through the void, mocking me, my situation and my struggles against the Dark One. They said it wouldn't be long before I became like them, nothing but a voice, lost in a void of oblivion. I saw a small sparkle from my neck. The necklace? It glowed brightly before it's light surrounded me. The voices grew faint and distant.

"Our powers are weak here, but they should protect you...you must escape before you are taken. Fight bravely, son of the Light. Don't let darkness take you. In every situation, no matter how hopless, there is light. Search for it, and prevail. Go. Now."

The voices faded, and I made my way through the dark realm, searching for the light. After hours of searching, I grew tired, and collapsed. The light began to flicker.

>I wasn't going to give up, but my body was growing weak. Even as I sat there, the darkness began biting away at my resistance, until I gave up. Giving it my all, I forced my body to stand, and looked ahead. A twinkling star was before me, and I streched out my hand. It flew away from me, making me grew angry. As I drew closer to it, the light floated out of my reach. The light around me was fading still and soon, I'd be vunerable to the ones of the dark. Desperation and fear slowly seeped into my senses. Was I going to die here?<

"No...I've gone through worse. I can't let it all end here. My promises...I still have to keep...the Dark One...he's got to be stopped...I...I'm not going to let myself die yet!"

The star floated in front of me. I reached out slowly and gently placed my hand on it. It felt like a radiant piece of stone, it's power shining through me. A large doorway opened, causing stars and the normal dimension to return. I looked down at the necklace around my neck and held the gem tightly. It twinkled before I was floating through space...

>Space...It's so deep...so many things we don't know about...the wonders and dangers. The Lost Library would have been destroyed, as well as the planet it was housed. I grew concerned for Adis and Edward's safety. The Dark One could have...I quickly pushed it from my mind and focused on the small planet approaching...But...something in me changed...I know I was in oblivion for a short period of time...but everything up until now had made me think...about my weakness...and who I was. I began to think if I was going to need to be a bit more serious. My role and destiny isn't something I should take lightly, or for granted.<

>It was when we won the Dimensional War...That all I could think about was that we could go home...to our normal lives...but things in me changed. Perhaps I was young...it's been four years since then, maybe I've outgrown it...but enough of me thinking about this...I'll concentrate on the memory...Our departure back to our dimension was almost near. I wanted to show people on Earth what I could do. But...I began to think people would shun and put me in a research facility because of my powers. The title of 'The Ultimate Gamer.' was inherited by my Great, Great, Greatgrandfather, Sir Johnathan Lightwalker. His valor and courage was well known. I was nothing like him. I was a bit of a coward then. Me and my brother Zacharay are the last of our blood-line. Dakoda's DNA was warped on our arrival, and me and Zac were 'born'. We came into this world by unknown means...we just came into existance, but had our mother's blood...Maybe it was destiny that caused us to be created?<

>I was always too cheerful and easy-going. I was never serious about most things. I thought life was just to have fun...but it's changed...my outlook has changed...maybe all of the things that have occured have finally started to effect me. Hah...I remember fighting off the forces of darkness off each planet by myself...and I was happy to be in this dimension...So many things have passed...my sister's death...meeting Eiko...It had been fun...maybe spending the rest of eternity floating through space wouldn't be so bad...<

>Eiko...Adis...Will I ever see you again? Zac...my brother...Are you alright without me? Seb...David....Everyone...Maybe this is it after all...When the light around me vanishes...so will I...My body cannot survive in space without the powers of light protecting me...and it seems it has almost diminished...But why is it protecting me? I...I'm not going to escape from this one...the Light is almost gone...it should be protecting my friends...not me...I don't deserve to have friends like them...<

Tears streamed down my face, twinkling brightly as they floated away. A smile formed on my face as I looked around. Nothing but stars and beautiful celesital formations...comets flew past me, leaving a trail of blue fire. My backpack glowed brightly, before everything went white...

>Where am I now? Am...Am I dead? Is this...<

"Son of the Light...You have done well to survive through these trials and hardships...but your purpose has not yet been fulfilled. Our world still needs a hero...You are that hero. You have proven yourself to be worthy of the light. You have earned yourself the right to be called The Ultimate Gamer...and such...you have earned a second chance. You have my undying support. I believe in you..." the voice called.

The black demonic wings vanished, and in their place, two transuclent white wings sprouted. Thier dazzling radiance caused me to shield my eyes.

"Thank you for everything...Rachel."

The voice seemed hesitant to respond. A second later, a young girl, about 14 descended before me, looking at me. She looked the exact way I remebered her. Her eyes sparkling.

"...Joshua. I'm sorry about all of this...I never wanted you to go through all of the pain you have endured...but I had to do something to save you. The trials you went through bought back your redemption, and with it, a chance to defeat the Dark One. The darkness may have a small place in you...but as long as you remember me...and all you've done that is good, it won't win. Joshua..."

"Rachel...Why did you save me? I let you down so many years ago...how did you end up in this dimension..."

"...Because I loved you...and I still do. I've always been watching over you, helping you how I could....but when you began to forget, I had to cause the memories of your past to emerge again. My existance will cease if you forget about me..."

"What should I do? Can I bring you back somehow? Is there anything I can..."

"I know you love me. And all you did was trying to keep me safe. You didn't know about the star...or the disaster...The necklace...when the time comes, you will need to use it. Eiko and Adis will be there to watch over you. I...I'll never forget our time together, my love...Bring the light back to this world..."

"Rachel...Will I see you again?"

She smiled at me and kissed me gently on the cheek.

"...Yes...after the darkness is gone...I'll wait for you...Joshua."

>As she slowly faded away, I couldn't help but feel a small part of me was bleeding. I know I hadn't seen her for so long...and now I learn she's been watching over me the entire time she died...Rachel...I'm sorry I didn't do anything to help you...I'll beat The Dark One...just watch and see...My body began to glow brightly, before I began hurtling through space at an incredible speed. Stars became white blurs of light before I came to a sudden stop. Below was where my adventures first began...and now, I intended to end it here...The Dark One...I could feel his power clearly...<

Meanwhile...

"Perhaps we should retreat from this battle...My son. Our lives will be forfiet if we continue to fight any longer..." the man suggested.

His body was covered in black armour, cloaked with robes. They were torn and ragged, while blood stained his armor and clothes, he threw back his cape and placed his sword back in his sheath. Both eyes glowed red at his son, who did the same.

"Dad...What do we do? If we can't..." the teenager complained.

"Your brothers are going to have to help us with this one...If we stand any chance, we're going to have to all unite to stop this threat. Those of the Light and Darkness must become one, otherwise we will all fall...Come, Dakoda. We must flee. I sense Joshua's prescene..."

"ESCAPE?! FOOLS! YOU WILL DIE HERE! I WILL SEE YOUR BLOOD STAIN THE BARREN GROUND HERE!" The Dark One laughed.

"...Dark Grasp. Now."

A wave of dark energy forced the Dark One back, stopping his advance. Motioning to Dakoda, they fled into the distance, to the Northen Reaches...In the air, David and Zac we having thier own problems aboard the StrongGale...

Chapter 21: Reunion and Reluctant Leadership.

The StrongGale was in Mobius atmopshpere. The ship which was David's pride and joy had taken a sever amount of damage from the laser fire, smoke rose around Zac and David, limiting thier vision and making it hard to breath. A glancing laser blast caused the right wing to be disintergrated.

"What th-....CR-" David was cut off when another shower of lasers threw him forward into the controls. Oil was covering most of the floor, while Zac was rapidly blasting away at the enemy robots. They did not have the mark of Robotnik on them...and it seemed if they weren't being shot down alone. Millions of Robotnik's robots intercepted The Dark One's, giving the StrongGale a bit more time.

"David! We're almost there! When we get close..."

"I know! I was the one who made this ship! Just hold tight and keep blasting! I don't know why those robots helped us out, but it's given us a chance. We're still capable of being killed here, but my ship's gonna get us through. NOW!"

The ship's reverse thrusters came to life, causing them to slow down, but created to large cyclones of aerial flame, which headed towards the robots. Loud explosions could be heard, as well as metal hitting the ground with a terrific force. The StrongGale landed on the icy plains below, seeing Seb in the Fire Wave to greet them. The three disappered into the white dunes of snow, before re-emerging underground. All sorts of heroes were here. Even a few villains. Like Bowser and Eggman Nega. Everyone turned around and looked at Gaming Force.

"It seems we have all of Gaming Force present, except for Joshua...He's not in trouble...is he?" Sally asked.

Eiko closed her eyes before opening them again.

"He...He's alive. And nearby. It might be a..."

Two shadowed figures walked into the base, thier faces had a grim look of anger and determination. They all gasped as the two walked in the center of the group and sat down. Everyone stared at them, thier hands near thier weapons, only to find John and Dakoda Darken to continue to sit, not flinching.

"...Odd. I was expecting my...brother...to be here...Perhaps he's already been done in...What's your opinion, father?"Dakoda started.

"The Dark One's power has almost reached it's peak. If Joshua was dead, we'd be nothing but dust. The Dark One...Gaiming Force...He's copied the data of all of you...everyone in this dimension...He seems to have been using the forces of Darkness to study and learn our power. With it, he is the most powerful being in this dimension..." John Darken stated.

"But...wouldn't that mean, he'd know about Joshua's abilities?"

"...Correct, but The Dark One cannot use them. To harness such power would require the Gameboy Jewels and The Chaos Emeralds. His appearance is that of a vampire. One who is larger than the monster's you would've encountered. But, he has learnt all of our abilites except...Assassin Aharon...He remains elusive, hiding in Oblivion, avoiding The Dark One's detection." John continued.

"But, why? Aharon would be able to be freed again, and able to..." Toxic started.

"He'd be killed. His power wouldn't be enough to inflict a scratch on The Dark One. Joshua is the only one who can stop him. But I doubt if he can handle this...You see...never mind...He comes..."

The J-Wing had landed nearby, following the signal sent from the base. They all raced outside, hoping to find Joshua, only to thier dismay, he wasn't there. Eiko had began to get worried, quickly blaming Adis for Joshua's disappearance.

"Adis! Where's Joshua?! You..." Eiko yelled.

"...I thought he would be here! The ship flew us straight to this spot, at full speed, so I thought that he would be waiting for us. Oh...This little guy is called Edward, we found him by himself...he's quite...odd for someone his age." Adis started.

"Wear's Joshua? Adis? Is he heer?"

Adis shook her head, before hugging Edward tightly, trying to get him to stop crying. As they all began to argue and go back inside, someone in a black cape watched them. The snow and wind had done some considerable damage to his body, as well as the injuries he sustained on his way here. His eyes burned brightly with determination, before he knocked on the door. Something in his mind stirred. A large image of a sword slashing through someone's flesh made him flinch. As the door opened, his strength gave out. He collapsed inside, exaughsted...

It was a few hours later that he awoke, alone in a cold room. Large bookshelves were against the walls, with a small workbench in the corner, where some tools and an old sword was placed. The boy looked down at his hands, rubbed his head and got to his feet. The door was locked from his side, meaning no-one could get in.

"Ngh...That was a rough trip...I wasn't expecting to find such a large force waiting for me...Heh...I barely got out of that one...I...I hope I made it to the Northen Base...Wait...Why did I say that? I am here! This...This is my old room...I remember making this base when I was exiled for a crime I didn't do...Heh, it wasn't so bad...I got a chance to train myself to find the truth..." he sighed.

As he opened the door, he walked down the long corridor to the main room. A heated argument from all sides could be heard. Plans for attack, for retreat...It seemed that in fear, they were getting desperate, objecting eacho others ideas, and suggesting foolish plans.

"...Enough...We must do something. When he wakes up, he'll know what to do. Trust me, I know. He's managed to get out of places harder than this." Sonic laughed.

"Perhaps, but is the Ultimate Gamer up to the task? If what Adis said is true, he could be turned against us. His emotions and memories are coming back to him in full force. I fear he may be severly weakened by this..."

"I might not be at my best, but I'm not about to let The Dark One win. Surprised to see me?" he laughed.

Everyone let out a cry of surprise. when they looked at him. He was expecting them to run up to him...but something seemed weird... like they were frozen solid...The whole room went dark, before a ghostly image of the Dark One floated in front of Joshua.

"Hahahah...It seems the effect I intended to occur has finally happened. You see...the before you, these fools are under my control. The one called Adis is under my constant watch. I have her and that boy, Edward as my prisoners. The ones you see are duplicates of them, only ones of pure dark. I made them...to render your friends usless! You cannot stop me now!"

"No...You no good...Grrrrr...I won't let you get away with this! I intend to stop you for good!" Joshua yelled.

The room lit up again, causing the ghost to flinch.

"What?! No!"

Dakoda and John Darken was standing beside Joshua, a small smile on thier face.

"It seems your plan failed. As much I dislike helping these...people, I managed to protect them from your fiendish plan. My darkness is enough to negate yours. I can block the lesser dark magic you use...I am the last Omega Knight after all..."

"So, you have decided to join them?! Fool! You will throw your life away?!"

"I don't intend to let that happen. I want you destroyed for good. You are a threat to all of us. Those who are light and dark. Joshua...He'll be leading them all to victory! His plan to strike down your army will not fail!"

"Pitiful...Look towards the remains of Robotropolis...My army is at it's full strength. Soon...when I have my full power...I will be able to call back my army from the dead, making us unstopable! See the last sunrise, for you will not live to see it again! Farewell, fools...when we meet again, I will be standing over your corpses..."

Everyone raced up to Joshua cheering, except for Joshua himself. He simply kept a straight face while they went through thier tactics. Later...

"So, it's agreed then...Joshua...You and your 'father' will have to face The Dark One alone. Only you two have the power to do so...." Eiko decided.

"...Dad. Are you sure you want to help us? I know you aren't...well happy with me since our last..."

"Joshua. I'm not your real father. Just call me John Darken. We can't be so formal. We'll be enemies after this all finishes. But...I swear that me and Dakoda will not attack this dimension until it is healed. All of the ones of Darkness will follow this oath." John Darken explained.

"John...You seem to have some honor in you after all...Even if we are enemies after this, we'll stil have this time to remember..." Joshua smiled.

John Darken simply shrugged his shoulders and went off to prepare. As did the rest of them...

Chapter 22: The Missing Log and Discovery.

Joshua fell back on his bed, tired. Grabbing his torn cape and placing it back in his backpack, he used the Force to grab a book from the bookshelf and open it. The book was old and the pages were stained badly. Some of the words had vanished, a victim of time.

"Dr...Kin...ob..r' L...Dr Kintobor's Log...I guess...Day Final..."

The words came to the boy as he read. He had never seen this book before in his life. He had read most of Dr. Kintobor's previous logs, but this one...it just seemed to appear while he was gone. Odd...But...

"I'm running out of time. Soon, I fear the Darkness in this world will enventually reach me too, turning me into the thing I swore to defeat. King Acorn will probably be the first victim when I turn...my king, I failed us all. I fear the Darkness will make me destroy this beautiful land. I give this to you, so you may remember the man I once was...not the monster I will become. The boy...Joshua Lightwalker...I continued my studies on, began to astound me. His internal energy readings were steadily increasing every hour. Over the limits of what a normal human body could handle. His reaction the Chaos Emeralds was shocking. The energy released seemed to have a huge impact on his power. It rose sharply. Even without the Chaos Emeralds, the power remained inside him. However...further tests caused the energy to increase more everytime he was exposed. It's a theory, but the amount of power he can absorb and handle may have a limit. In other words, using the Chaos Emeralds too frequently could result in the energy destroying him from within."

"His intellect is quite high, but it seems some areas of his mind are somewhat damaged. He might have been born with a small mental defect, not one that would effect him majorly, but it could change his thoughts to things normal people wouldn't think off. His creativity is somewhat poor at the moment, I presume it will develop when he gets older. Another test showed his affection for others. He rushed to the aid of a small toddler who had tripped over and cut herself, before helping elderly people across the street, or giving them assistance. Even when he saw someone doing something bad, then injure themselves, he ran to help them."

"His powers must not be known about on his planet. Although I may not be able to seal away his nature, I can seal his powers away until he comes back to this dimension when the Dimension War starts. The Dimensional War? I have forseen that my turn will cause a massive wave of death and destruction. Our time zones run differently. By the time he is fourteen, he will return to our dimension, to stop me. I am sending these logs to various planets in our dimension, which can be accessed by Joshua.When I turn, I will remember none of this...."

Joshua looked up at the ceiling, before he glanced back at the log.

"I hope he lives to fufil his destiny...But...Where there is light in his heart, there is shadow. In his heart and mind, lies an ancient evil from long ago. My records tell of an evil overlord, draining life from planets and people, until he was sealed away in Sir Johnathan Lightwalker. He was only existant in the first born of male Lightwalkers...and according to his history, this boy is the first Lightwalker male in eight generations. Perhaps the Dark One had waited long enough and was planning on using Joshua to break free...but I begin to feel fear for the boy. If The Dark One had some part to cause Joshua to exist...if he were to be destroyed, then Joshua would likely die. Wether this will happen, I know not. I pray he finds a way to search for the answers.... Sir Dr. Kintobor."

Joshua had great difficulty taking in the last few sentances. How could he tell his friends that this could be the last time he would ever see them? What would he say to his brother...to Seb? To...Eiko and Adis?

"I..It's not fair...The Dark One knows I fear death...But...if it's to stop the Darkness for good, I'll do it. Eiko and Adis will understand. I'm sure they'll find someone else...Hah...I never got a chance to thank Adis for everything she's done...I'll rescue her...before I destroy the Dark One...At least...At least I'll be able to say goodbye..." Joshua sighed, before going to sleep...but something haunted his dreams...a nightmare...wether real or not, he couldn't tell...

"...So the fool comes? As I expected. Take away the one he cares about, and he'll come running. I am surprised though...you have done well serving me, yet you did not know it...Hah...I planned it all along, Adis. I used you...I made you flee into the other dimension to warn Joshua. His friends have given me more power. And you began to care for him...fool. I slowly unlocked his memories, even though it gave him an advantage...I was hoping for him to kill you. That would have solved both my problems."

"...Your...Your wrong! I'd never let you use me for anything! I wouldn't..."

"Because you love him? Fool. Such useless emotions. I have no need to listen to your cries. I need you no longer. Farewell, Adis."

A loud scream could be heard as a sword slashed through Adis's body. Joshua raced to her side, only to find she was dying. The image of the sword kept rushing through his mind. The slice...the scream...The images and sounds he couldn't remove from his head.

"ADIS!!!"

Joshua had awoken, yelling the name loudly. He looked at his hands and tried to push away the nightmare.

"Adis...I'll save you. I promise...but what do I do?"

The Dark One's laughter grew louder through his mind, causing him to hold his head in pain. After a few minutes, everyone came charging into his room, worried about thier friend...only to see that he was gone....

Bio: Once the commander of the army stationed at the Palathian ice fields of the south until Devan attacked Carrotus. His small army was the first to react to the threat. They were soon outnumbered. Most were killed, but he and a few survivors were taken to Cybornetic/Bioresearch labs. There he was to be converted into an experimental cyborg. When Jazz arrived on the scene those in the control room were called up to fight, so power was lost half way through the procedure and so he is now half cybornetic. Most of his face, arms and torso were built up into cybornetics and his legs and hands were not started. he collected enough strengh to break free from the chamber where he was built and made his way back to Carrotus by creating rudimentary rocket pack, where he was found by the remainder of his squad.

Well...He seems cool...and this story is almost over...so...when I post the new topic, 'The Doomsday Project.' he can be in that. Heck, I've already finished this story, I'm just reluctant to post the last few chapters...I'll just edit them a bit...

The character's just gonna have to be cleverly placed in the story...because...Well, you'll see soon enough...

Chapter 23: Confronting the Dark One. (Part 1)

As our hero made his way through the war-torn planet, running as fast as he could, huge gusts of sand erupted behind him as he continued to push his body further towards it's limits. A small bead of sweat trickled down his face, before it was blown off from the wind. Joshua's speed was at least Mach 4, climbing higher. His desire to stop the Dark One...to save Adis...this dimension...the thoughts fueled his muscles, making him push on further. A huge series of enemy robots could be seen on the horizon, quickly encasing himself in a coating of stone, he rolled towards his foes, smashing them to pieces.

"...More...coming this way..."

It was after a few hundered enemy troops were flattened and destroyed, Joshua came to a complete stop. He walked forward slowly, until he came to a cliff's edge. Below was vast darkness. Dark, purple bolts of evil energy flashed through-out the void, slowly destroying the planet. In fact, it had devoured the planet as far as he could see. The void had at least taken half of the planet, killing many innocent people. Looking down with anger at the void, more soldiers rushed up to attack him, before Joshua simply moved his hand. A large blade of energy sliced through the enemy lines.

"Robots...strange alien creatures...this is getting strange...These markings...I guess these were just to distract me. No matter. If this is the worst they can do, I'm sure that the best isn't going to be difficult...Okay. I'll rescue Adis first. She's gotta be safe...the J-Wing should be here also...that other one was a fake...Adis had better find it quick...after I beat the Dark Lord, I expect this place will be going down in a hurry."

Some weird power was emanating from the base. It seemed familair, but he pushed it aside. Looking back at the rising sun, he realised he had to move now. He regreted not fighting with his friends...or his 'father'...but he had to do this. The Dark One was the cause of all the suffering. If others suffered, Joshua's heart would be filled with pain.

"Dark One! Ready or not, here I come! Yah!"

Joshua leapt into the abyss below. As he fell, more of the dark energy rushed past him. The cliff edge seemed to grow more distant, as the planet was slowly continued to be consumed. Looking down at his hands and body, he seemed to still be in one piece. The dark powers ignored him and continued devouring the planet. The sources of the darkness....

"Sources...? There...There's someone else here...In this base. I feel the power...but it's still...still not as strong as the larger force." Joshua muttered.

Many reds eyes emerged from the shadows, rising upwards from thier dark prision, heeding thier master's call. Enemies of The Dark One were appraoching. Hoping for his friends to be safe, the fall finally ended. Below him was nothing but darkness. He stood on some clear platform which blended well with his surroundings. A large, towering set of doors came into view, slowly opening. The dark energy began to get stronger.

He stepped forwards into the dark corridor...the walls were made of dark, cold marble. The floor seemed to echo his every footstep down the hallway, making him feel slightly less confident. What if the Dark One was able to turn Joshua from the light? What would he do? There wasn't anyone to save him. He came alone on his own will. He wished for no-one else to die. His brother and 'father' did not deserve this fate.

Somehow, through the many twists and turns of the many hallways, he finally came into a large room. Torches were lit on each side of the room, sheding some light. Seeing through the dark, he made out a familiar form. It turned around, it's red eyes blazing.

"N...No...No!" Joshua stammered.

Before him, stood his current terror. In each hand was a deadly looking fire-arm. A small laser fired from the right gun, barely missing Joshua all together. The lights in the room quickly were extinquished, before Joshua faced his foe, a sad look was on his face.

"Adis...Why? Why did you...join him? I came to..." Joshua started.

"I never needed your help, Joshua. I was always wanting to destroy you...to get close to you and strike you down. My master has promised me eternal life. Eternal power! It is impossible to defeat us! Our power of darkness will soon consume all of this pathetic dimension!" Adis yelled.

Joshua angrily glared back.

"Can't you see?! He plans to kill all of us! Even you! He wants our energy...he's a vampire, feeding off all forms of life. You are a living thing! I will not raise my sword against you Adis! Step aside! I do not wish to hurt...you." Joshua sighed.

"You could barely scratch me with those swords! Like I said before, I am immortal! Unable to be stopped! If you will not fight me...then I will simply have to kill you! What I've waited to do for so long!" Adis grinned.

She loaded her weapons and began to unleash a barrage of laser fire. It took a lot of energy from Joshua to dodge most of the attacks, but a glancing shot got him in the arm. He pushed the pain aside and hid in the shadows. Adis continued to follow him, taunting him.

"Die, let your blood be absorbed by my master! Let your flesh rot on the ground! Darkness is what will consume you!"

Another laser caught Joshua in the leg, and he fell to the floor. Blood began to escape from the two wounds, the smell of burnt flesh filled the air. Adis walked up to Joshua, who tried to defend himself with a wall of stone. It was simply blasted into gravel. Adis grabbed Joshua by the neck and looked at him, smiling.

"Now...You will die." Adis laughed.

Joshua was not giving up. He looked at Adis's face.

Clicking his fingers, a bright flash of light engulfed the whole chamber, allowing Joshua to get out of Adis's grasp. Putting his swords away, he lunged at Adis, tackling her to the ground, before smashing the guns into pieces. With a relieved look on his face, he fell backwards, tired. A swift blow to the jaw sent Joshua skidding backwards. Wiping the blood from his mouth, his eyes took on a brighter glow.

"Adis! You have to snap out of it! The Dark One's using your emotions to control you! Fight against him! You have the power to do so!" Joshua yelled.

"Fool! I control this pathetic life-form. Your efforts to save her are futile! Striking her down is the only way to release her from my grip! Go ahead! Cut her down with your blades! The ones which you intend to end the life of me with them! There is no other way! You cannot win! Hahahah..." The Dark One bellowed.

"Adis..." Joshua whispered, before closing his eyes.

A small sphere of light surrounded his body, circling around him a few times before heading straight towards Adis. A bright flash of light occured, causing everything to vanish. Nothing but a black void, inside was Joshua and Adis. Facing each other.

"You've got to...You can't give up. Don't make me break my promise...Adis. I won't let you give up!" Joshua yelled.

"Augh...He's...He's strong...I...I can't...keep him out for long! Joshua!" Adis screamed.

Grabbing hold of Adis's hands, he closed his eyes. Using his power to help Adis force the Dark One back, the black void vanished, returning them to reality. Joshua fell to the floor, exaughsted. Adis helped him to his feet.

"Adis...I knew you could do it...Now...find Edward and run...I've got...to stop the Dark One." Joshua groaned.

"But..."

"GO! There's no sense in us both dying! Move it!" Joshua ordered.

Adis reluctantly walked away. As Joshua continued towards the Dark One's chamber, tears flowed down his face as he ran....

Chapter 24: Confronting the Dark One (Part 2)

On Mobius.

A large group of dark beings had assembled themselves into ranks, preparing to charge at thier enemy. Armed with multiple weapons such as swords, guns and other deadly weapons, they charged at our heroes at full speed. The sound of thier heavy footsteps rang through the planet as the monsters raced across the decayed plain. On the opposite army, Seb was in his suit of armor. Flames surrounded his body, giving him a second set of protection. His axe was ready to deliver a multiple set of blows.

Zac was still in his usual attire. His size made it easy for him to dodge his foes attacks, as well as launching a quick flurry of knife stabs. He got into a stance where he could through multiple daggers of ice at his foes. Next to him was David. Covered in armor tempered from mythrill, it let off bright shines of light. His mace was poised to knock his foes away. Across from him, Toxic had multiple laser blasters at his disposal, as well as some swords. Veneno had the same sort of equipment, as well as a large plasma rifle.

Behind them, was a huge force of various creatures, animals, humans and robots. As both sides charged at each other, The Dark One watched. Both sides collided, bodies quickly fell, thier blood and oil staining the ground. As the ones with long-range weapons attacked, Veneno had gotten back from they fray, used his cane to launch himself into the air, before firing several rounds of plasma at a group of enemy targets. He reloaded his weapon and continued to fight on the ground with his sword.

Seb was hacking away at anything that got in his range, slicing them clean in half. All around him, his foes closed in, before he clenched his fists and released a large explosion of flame, incinerating anything that was around him. Zac had created large pillars of ice, which pierced through the ground and anything standing near it. Many daggers were flying through the air, many of them hitting their mark.

"C'mon! Let's see what you've got!" Zac yelled.

More enemies closed in, before Zac created a wall of icicle spikes, skewering anything that was in range. He pushed it forward, mowing down many of the enemy soldiers. The Dark One smiled. All of them were simply giving him more power! Every second he observed, the eaiser his victory would be. After all this, he would eliminate all of the enemy troops...along with any of his own. There only needed to be one life-form in this dimension...

"Dark One!" Joshua yelled.

The vampire turned around, his red eyes focusing on his prey. It seemed the foolish boy had come by himself. How could one child overthrow the almighty Dark One?! He pointed at Joshua and laughed.

"So, the battle between the Ultimate Gamer of the present...and the evil of the past begins. Look around you, Joshua. This is my domain. My power flows from this sanctuary of mine! Your foolishness to challenge me here shall be your undoing! Submit beneath my will!" The Dark One yelled.

Joshua looked up at the Dark One. Not moving back an inch in fear. In fact, he stepped forward, glaring right back at the evil one. His body glowing with an aura of holy light. It shone brightly. Behind him, John and Dakoda walked out next to Joshua.

"So...It seems you are not alone...Those two...They dare defy the supreme lord of darkness?! If you wish to throw your life away by siding with this fool, then I shall grant you your wish! Imagine, three members of the same family...felled by my hand. This will be a day to remember, when all hope was destroyed! Bwahahahahaha!!!"

Dakoda walked up, next to Joshua, his cape still. His face was one of determination and confidence. On the other side of Joshua, his 'father' stood beside him, his sword drawn, held with such strength it could rend a foe in two. Joshua looked at his 'family' and nodded. The Dark One retreated to the darkness above them, before a large, black scorpion landed on the ground before them. Hatred was in it's eyes.

"Prepare to witness...true suffering! I will crush you!"

The scorpion lunged at Joshua with it's talons, only to find them repeled by his blades. It's stinger, poised to strike was intercepted by Dakoda, who with a clean slash of his sword, made it fall to the ground. Green slime, along with dark purple blood stained the floor for a few seconds, before it vanished. The tail still writhed maddly, and still attempted to strike Dakoda, who quickly gave a down-ward thrust, ending the stinger's life.

"If this is the best you've got, I'll see you fall yet!" Joshua yelled.

Joshua and John leapt high into the air. Thier swords, they quickly hurled downwards, which in turn pierced through the monster's head. Lots of slime and blood splattered everywhere, before it all vanished. In it's place emerged a large serpent, it's eyes instantly followed Dakoda, before it let out a stream of fluid poison. It hit it's mark, causing Dakoda to fly through the air and collide against the floor with a loud thud. He found the poison, eating away at his flesh.

"Distract him! I'll get Dakoda on his feet!" Joshua ordered.

Quickly racing around the room, Joshua's hands began to glow, before it released a white beam of light. It pierced straight into Dakoda's body, fighting back the poison and eliminating it for the time being. Dakoda quickly grabbed a herb from his pocket and rubbed it against his skin. The poison was gone, more or less. Getting to his feet, he charged at the snake. John was fareing quite well, lashing out a few swift slashes, before dodging the counter-attack. The Dark One was distracted, unable to see Dakoda rushing at it at full speed, before thrusting his sword forward, cutting deep into it's flesh. More green slime shot everywhere, before the Dark One bellowed forth a large cloud of smoke. Unable to see, the heroes were lashed with the tail, causing them to meet the wall.

"Augh...Not ready to give up...yet! C'mon!" Joshua yelled.

Getting to his feet, pushing aside his injuries, he drew a lightsabre from his belt, and concentrated. The monster snake lunged at him, hoping to swallow him, only to find Joshua leap into the air, and thrust the saber straight down through it's stomach. It let out a cry of fury, before it vanished again. The Dark One reformed in the middle of the room, groaning and slightly bleeding, his eyes glowing brighter.

"Hah...I'm...Not done yet...Gameboy Crystals! Come to me!"

"WHAT?!"

The seven crystals flew from Joshua's back-pack and headed towards the embodiment of evil. Within seconds, his wounds were gone, in fact, he continued to drain the power from the crystals until they fell to the floor, thier color and glow had vanished.

"But...how? The Gameboy Crystals..." Joshua muttered.

"As one of the inhabitents of this dimension, I can harness the power of those jewels...I have been here since the beginning...and I knew those jewels would be created to stop me...So, I devised a way to use the power for...my own ends!" The Dark One yelled, his voice growing louder. He laughed evily before pointing at the three heroes. A strange wave of dark energy surrounded them.

"I...I can't move! Augh! Hng! Dakoda! Dad!"

Joshua fell to his knees. The Dark One towered over all of them, his flesh began to bulge and ripple. His eyes began to duplicate, making millions of red beams looking down at him with anger. His muscles grew larger, his cloaks were torn to shreds and he grew more powerful. Many things were going through Joshua's head....

>Am I...going to fail?<
>What about our promise?!<
>Joshua!<
>Eiko...You can't let him win!<
>The...<

The voices of the past ran through his head, before he closed his eyes...

"Light...is the key. Give me something to look forward to, Joshua..." Rachel's voice broke through the darkness. Joshua got to his feet, brushing off the dust and turned, so he was facing the Dark One, his swords drawn.

"So...you continue to defy my will...So be it. Your power is nothing compared to mine...and without the Gameboy Crystals to aid you...You've already lost! Bwahahahaha!!!"

Joshua looked away, putting his swords into thier sheaths and faced back at his foe.

"Wrong! Those crystals...they may be a great source of power...but the power of the Ultimate Gamer in in my heart! The Ultimate Gamer's power runs through my veins. But that isn't the whole truth...The true power lies with my friends! I haven't a single doubt in my mind now! Dark One! I will send you to the eternal depths of Oblivion! You won't ever terrorize us again! For the crimes you've commited against this dimension...I'll it here." Joshua yelled

The sevn Gameboy Crystals began to regain thier color, floated to Joshua's hands and he clenched them into fists. He looked up, to find his foe heading into space. A black trail of energy behind him. He looked back at his friends, and teleported them back to the surface. The seven beams of light emerged from the gaps in his hands. Bolts of rainbow colored energy surged into Joshua's body. The energy pulsed through his muscles, his bloodstream and his brain. He grew stronger and smarter. Before the crystals cauesd everything to erupt in a bright flash of light. The transformation was complete. But...not what he expected. Normally, he would be Hyper Joshua...but now, his true form had awakened...The Ultimate Gamer.

Joshua's cap had vanished, in it's place was his hair, standing upright and glowing brightly with the colors of the rainbow. His eyes had remained green. His t-shirt had vanished, and a suit of cyber armor had appeared around his body, it radiated light through the dark room. His trousers had changed into black shorts. His shoes remained the same. No weapon was in his hand...yet. A flash of light erupted, causing a sword to fall from the heavens. It bore the Lightwalker crest. Reaching out to grab it, he flew out into space after his foe...

On the surface...

Both sides watched with amazment at the two beams of light rush towards space. Thier battle resumed, the forces of Light continued to push thier foes back, inspired by thier leaders emergance....

"What a treat! The REAL Ultimate Gamer stands before me in all his glory...perhaps I underestimated you, Joshua. You are stronger than I expected...but it is no matter. My plan has been successful...soon, this world will cease to exist. You know the price you pay...if you triumph. Does that strike fear into you?" The Dark One laughed.

"No. I've thrown away my fears that bound my heart. I will strike you down. My ancestor's blade is in my hands...the power I wield will stop you now. Let us see...who prevails. Our light...or your darkness. Now!"

Joshua flew through space to meet his foe, who had already began his assult. Dark beams of energy rushed at him, but were simply evaded. A large wave of dark stars hurtled past him, throwing Joshua back. He continued, slasing away any obstacles. The Dark One looked at his foe and reached out with his hands. Joshua was caught in his grasp. But...the light around him began to eat into his flesh, causing him to let Joshua go. It realised the amount of power that Joshua was using would eventually diminsh, so he tried to delay his attacks.

"Meteor Storm!"

Large, fiery rocks headed straight towards Joshua, who blasted them away with his Light Surge attack. Blasts of focused beams of light reduced the rocks into pebbles. He continued forward, gaining speed before he was right next to his foe. Both his hands began to glow with a white aura, before he thrust them both foward. A huge flow of light surged through Joshua's body, before it began to build up in his hands.

"Light...BLASTER!"

The huge beam of light pierced straight through the depths of space, causing stars to explode, adding thier energy to the lethal attack, which colldied into the Dark One at full force. It's rage was rising and attempted to grab Joshua again. He was succesful, before he began to crush the life out of Joshua. The hand was eaten away by the light, and fell through the atmosphere, gaining speed. Flames erupted around Joshua's body.


His sword began to glow brightly in color, before he sliced straight through his foe's hand. The damage was little. But, to his surprise, The Dark One reappeared before him. He grabbed Joshua, and sent them both hurtling through the atmopsphere. The flames began to intensify around them, before the Dark One let go, hurling Joshua straight into the ground. He slid across the surface, slightly bruised, but got to his feet. The Dark One began to tire. He lunged at Joshua again. The attack was easy to dodge, before Joshua leapt into the air, slashed with his sword, knocking his foe into the sky. He was paralyzed, and Joshua realised this was his only opening.

>Here goes! I don't think my body is going to be able to survive after...THIS!< Joshua thought grimly.

"This...Game...is...OVER! RAINBOW...RADIATE!!!"

Joshua's body shattered into seven beams of color, which flew into space. Each beam pierced through the Dark One's body, several times before they all came together, and pierced through as one. Joshua re-appeared, grabbed the sword and charged straight at The Dark One. He closed his eyes and caused his body to erupt in an amazing display of color and light. The body of The Dark One began to fade, until it was no more. Around the planet, the opposing army began to die off, the planet returned to it's proper state...and all of the heroes watched their leader float in mid-air, before the rainbow light vanished and Joshua fell to the ground. The seven crystals fell with him, shattering when they hit the ground...

Chapter 25: Painful Sorrow...Happiness awaits.

As the heroes raced up to find what had became of Joshua, he was still standing, but he seemed to be shaking. His body continued to crackle. Excess energy flickered around Joshua's body, before he fell to his knees.

"You idiot! You used all of your power! Be thankful you're still...huh?!" Toxic stammered.

Small explosions erupted around Joshua. His legs began to turn grey, then into stone. He stopped shaking, before looking at everyone that was around him. A small amount of blood was trickling down his shirt, before waist had been enveloped in stone.

"Joshua! You're...What's happening to you?!" David yelled.

Joshua let out a small groan of pain, before his chest was covered with rock. He turned his head.

"The...The power of the Gameboy Crystals...has been exposed to my body...for too long...it was unavoidable this was going to happen...In a few minutes, I'll be nothing more than a cold, dead rock. Ah....Argh!" Joshua groaned.

Zac tried to cast a healing spell, but was restrained by Eiko.

"He...He knew, Zac. There's nothing we can do. This was his choice..."

"Eiko...Adis...Everyone......" Joshua started.

"See ya..."

His body finished it's transformation. A life-like statue of Joshua stood there for a few seconds, before it simply turned into a cloud of sparkling dust, blown away by the wind...

-Joshua's Mind-

>It seems I'm here...again. I'm not really surprised though. This outcome was going to happen regardless of what I done. Maybe it's time for me to...have eternal rest...This dimension is
free...even though it may take some time to rebuild the shattered lifes...they won't need me. I think...I can die without any regrets...< Joshua sighed, slowly closing his eyes.

"Wait! You can't sleep yet!" a voice called.

From the darkness, a small veil of light shone done before Joshua. Small stars floated around it, before he found himself looking at Rachel's face, beaming happily at him. She wrapped her arms around him and let out a cheer.

"You've managed to come so far...yet you want to die? Do you really want to be with me that much....? Joshua...I know you may have absorbed the power of the Gameboy Crystals, but it isn't over yet. You're still alive. Otherwise, this place wouldn't exist. This is your concioussness. Though it appears you to be you may have lost your body... it is still intact. The emotions of your friends is what is keeping you alive...Amazing..isn't it? The energy you thought would kill you, ended up saving your life instead." Rachel laughed.

Joshua turned away and looked around in the void. Large video imagaes displayed his memories of what had happened up until now. He felt kind of relieved to know he was still alive, plus knowing that his friends were still in his mind...and heart. Looking around some more, he saw images of his Great, Great, Great Grandfather, Sir Johnathan Lightwalker. He looked like he was at least 30, probably forty and had black, spiky hair. His eyes were a light blue, with a shaven beard. His armor was almost identical to Joshua's and he held his sword in his left hand.

>He seems so different from me...He was a great hero, huh...? Rachel...Why is this all re-occuring? Why is it showing me things of the past that I haven't seen? Rachel? RACHEL! Where are you?!<

A demonic figure, about Joshua's height floated down before him, drawing a sword. His laughter echoed through Joshua's mind...The Dark One...

>He still must exist in some part of my memories! I've got to stop him from getting back too much power. Dark One, you will not control me for anything. I made a promise...I am going to keep it...and you won't stop me!< Joshua yelled.

The Dark One simply lashed forward with his sword, making Joshua float to the left to avoid it. A quick series of weak slashes followed, beginning to build up the damage on Joshua. He began to find his t-shirt ripped, and another attack caught him off guard, creating a large scar down Joshua's side. Blood began to flow from the wound slowly, but it remained motionless, staying in the same spot in mid-air.

>Huh....My body....something's...happening...< Joshua murmered.

The bright aura surrounded his body, lighting up the sub-dimension. He faced the Dark One, to find half of his face was missing. His skull was worn out by the ravages of time, his visible eye span around in it's bloody socket, causing Joshua to feel a bit ill. Quickly doing something on instinct, he grabbed his swords and stabbed them straight through his foe's eyes. A loud, furious scream could be heard, as a large vaccum appeared, sucking The Dark One...straight to Hell...

Joshua floated down to the ground, his body still bleeding, hoping to find some sign of Rachel. She was here before...The Dark One appeared. Racing through the entire room, he found no sign of her...He sat down, saddened at his failure...

"I'm always with you...I'm...watching you...forever, Joshua. We'll see each over again...I promise." Rachel called.

Joshua span around, to find Rachel ascending into the air, waving while smiling happily. Tears streamed down her eyes as she slowly vanished into a cascade of twinkling stars. Joshua stood there, wiping some tears from his eyes, before everything went white around him. He began to float in mid-air, before he vanished.

"I'll see you again, Rachel. It's a promise...that I make to you..." Joshua whispered.

On Mobius...

As everyone left back to celebrate and mourn Joshua's passing, a star flew down from the heavens. To everyone's surprise, it changed shape, before Joshua re-appeared, standing before them. They all stared, like they had seen a ghost.

"Hey."

Seb and Zac simply stood there, slightly shocked, while Eiko and Adis ran up to him, hugging and crying at the same time. A few explanations later, they all began to walk back to the main city of Mobius, Station Square: Beta. As they did, Eiko decided to ask a question.

"So, Joshua. You've decided who you like more? Me, or that girl over there?" Eiko asked slyly.

"Hey! The 'girl' has a name, you silly teenager! Besides, I think he..." Adis started.

Joshua turned around for a few seconds, sighed and then a smile crept across his face.

"If you wanna know, you'll have to catch me first!" he mocked, before he raced off into the distance at top speed. Everyone raced after him, trying to catch up, laughing all the while. Things seemed to be back to normal at last. The Video Dimension was at peace once again. A truce had been signed against both The Forces of Light and Dark, ending all battles between them. Hopefully, the dimension should be able to thrive...

As the day finally ended, a starry sky spread across the horizon, for all to see. Fireworks exploded in bright colors, signaling the start of a new age...and this ends our story...for now. Our heroes have still got much to do to rebuild the Video Dimension...
