Why does your game go "pinging" ?

i always wanted to make a game! but it always go "pinging" im just wondering why! :confused:

You probably have either a router, gateway, and/or firewall! YaY! Choose one.

Bah i can't host cos of my network,i used to,those were the days :').
I think mine is to do with the gateway,im gonna install my moderm,see if it will work.

I can't host either, but that's because i'm behind a Router.
Or at least i think that's why :P

You guys, try port forwarding.

If your using Windows XP, then follow these steps:

1. Go to the Control Panel
2. After that, go to the Security Center
3. Move down to Manage Security Settings for: and go to the Firewall settings
4. Select the Off option

There, now you will probibly have no more pinging! Hopefully . . .

You need to forward ports 10052-10054 TCP and UDP. This often isn't enough and you have to try DMZ, however.
