Thread title pretty much says it all. Upon startup jj2 spits this (below) at me. I tryed all the command line options, -Safe is the only one that lets its start, but I cant do anything really.

My specs might help:
CPU: AMD Athlon64 3500+
GPU: nVidia GeForce 7800GT
SFX: Creative SoundBlaster! Audigy2ZS
HDD: 250GB SATA
RAM: 2GB (4x512MB) DDR400
OS: XP Home SP2 (Thats not the problem, my laptop is the same and it runs fine)
Please help! :(
Thanks in advance,
PhAyzoN
EDIT: This happens as soon as a double click jazz2.exe. Doesnt even make it to the intros :(
EDIT2: Ok, sound is the issue, -NoSound helps, but then, obviosuly, I have no sound!

Hmm. The only thing I know of that might work is reinstalling the game.

I suppose you can try installing the shareware version and see if that is having the same problem.

It has the same problem. Though I think the av points to a different address

Does your latest JJ2 log file say anything?

Giving a different AV probably means nothing, the odds that JJ2 uses the same memory addresses each time is highly unlikely.
If sound's the issue, then I don't see what the problem is with just playing with -nosound is. It's not as if JJ2 has any memorable or even very interesting sound effects or music.
Other than that, I'm tempted to say it's your processor or to run it in compatibility mode, but both of those are probably as far from true as possible.

Uh.. ive been running in compatibility mode, thats the first thing I tryed. Its apparently my sfx card, and not my CPU or GPU as I suspected. Sound is extremely important my friend ;)

In my opinion, it's not as if JJ2 has any memorable or even very interesting sound effects or music.
Fixed.
