As I agreed on MSN, I would really love to see a fan-type game evolve from that.

...You should really continue this next time you are bored... Like do yoshi, the evil twins, the ladies, and the babies. Maybe some more of the baddies like shyguys, bomb-ombs, Chomps, Whomps and Piranha plants. You know, I'm just trying to give suggestions, I'm not telling you "You must draw them all or I will hunt you down and kill you in your sleep!" or something. But I like your style and would love to see more of them. I probably made this paragraph too long. Do you think I made this paragraph too long? I've seen longer paragraphs, but most are only a sentence long. Usually the really long paragraphs are people ranting about something, like how they think JJ2 or J2O suxors or something. I think I'm done now.

You do know I can post any reply to that I want and people will read it instead of that paragraph?

Seriously I could say it was about Nazi supremacy and they'd beleive it.

I like the work, it would indeed make a neat fangame. This will however, not occur.

More Doodles, with commentary. Commentary there for those interested, if you're not going to take the time to read it, you're not interested so don't ask for summaries. For everyone else, just click the links.

The doodle idea began with these. (http://www.maj.com/gallery/Lijik/Doodle/sonicdoodle.png) The idea that spurred from those was a Sonic fangame mashed up with some Battery Check concepts. Sonic would be constantly running out of "Ink", and his sprite would also be draining of it's color. If you ran out of ink, you sprite would be a pure outline for example. Sonic also would not run as fast with less ink. Thus, "Doodle Stations" would be scattered around a map to have a huge hand with a pen replisnish your ink and color. To add challenge, the game would focus on having the player constantly straying far from the doodle stations to solve puzzles to progress in the level (Note- Puzzles would behave nothing like the ones in Battery Check, if you were wondering).
I never continued with these since I wanted to draw designs of the Badniks from Sonic 1, which for the life of me I can't remember what any of them look like.

These (http://www.maj.com/gallery/Lijik/Doodle/mariodoodle2.png) were done after school the day of the inital Sonic and Mario Doodles. Since the doodles all derived from the idea of the designs being implemented into a fangame, I gave thought to most of these Boss designs. While Wario was pretty much just a doodle Wario, Waluigi had a greatly exxagerated height. In the Wario and Waluigi boss fight, Waluigi would be for the most part in the background making the fight "go". It's hard to explain without seeing the arena sketches. Foreman Spike on the otherhand had a Popeye-esque design because instead of a rigged arena, his attacks would focus on just beating the pulp out of Mario and Luigi.

These (http://www.maj.com/gallery/Lijik/Doodle/mariodoodle3.png) were done later that night. Toad wasn't anything special, he was merely just to knock out another character. Plus, it's not like toads did anything useful except tell you what to do anyways. Peach was designed as the "straight woman". Since she was going to be kidnapped in the fangame right off the bat, she really didn't need a funky design. Yes, I know, "Peach being kidnapped" isn't an original base for a storyline, but in my opinion, what actually happens on your way to rescue Peach should be more important since that's what your playing. The Boo was a spur of the moment kind of thing, plus I like the huge tounge, it works well with the other designs.

Finally, these designs (http://www.maj.com/gallery/Lijik/Doodle/mariodoodlerejects.png) are rejected by myself for various reasons. DK Sr.'s pear-esque shape just wasn't working, and neither was his legs. DK Jr. was just plain tiny on paper, and I barely had any room when designing him. The shyguy just did nothing with the character, and just looked way too simmilar to a Katamari Damacy sketch I did a few nights ago. I just plain didn't like the Magikoopa at all, although his head just needs minor adjustments.

Oh, and two new sprites.

For some reason the Magikoopa looks a bit like Devan Shell. Either that or I've had too much sugar - I've eaten about 50g of Apple Rocks already. Full of sugar =D

They're both turtles, and they both wear large glasses. So, there is a link.

Very nice, did you make those before or after the first set?

With the exception of Sonic, all were done after the first set but on the same day. Except one which I'm completely unsure of.
