Hidden messages

Do you create hidden (mask)messages in your levels or tilesets? We all know Evilmike does, hehe.
And can you give an explanation why you fill your level with that kind of graffiti???

I sometimes create mask messages. Mostly they are quite pointless...

I had a in-progress level that had abunch of hidden useless messages that were out of the way to find. Stuff like "BLACKRAPTOR IS A FURRY~Trafton".
Near all of these messages, there'd be a secret that would typically be hidden in a wall or ceiling with the message "If you found this, you're double the clever"
So really, in that instance, it was the secret indicator.

I often do that. It's really fun to imagine people find this kind of stuff. Plus, this increases the chance of creating a new meme, now THAT'S something to be proud of!

Creating a new meme indeed is cool, but only if people turn on masks when looking at your level.

And yeah, usually its random nonsensical text strings but I've done stuff like write my nick out in tiles in a level for no reason or something. I like when people do stuff like that.

I don't actually release any of my levels, but I always write my name in a layer besides layer four. Usally in the rain.

In one of my levels, there was a (hidden) text string that said: "They made BlurredD write this message."

I write hidden messages in far-off corners of my levels and in the mask of most of my newer tilesets. Most of them are randomness.

I don't create tilesets. However, I usually have at least one hidden message (text or tile based) in my levels.
