The rules are simple. The contestants choose who goes first, then fight, trading "punches." Upload your punch within a week of the last punch, or you forfeit and the other contestant wins. Four punches total, two each. Everyone else votes for who they think should win the fight.

Good luck contestants, may the best crowd pleaser win.

If I go first, Rad knows what to beat... Hmm...

Either way, I can't really use the webcam at night like this and get decent pics... I'll do it in the morning.

I'll draw first blood. I can't say when it'll get done, though, hopefully soon.

Hm. I'm not sure it seems fair having people vote before the battle even starts. I thought you were going to add the poll after it had concluded.

Hey, I had a portfolio critique today and put off all my homework until sunday night. ACTION <s>tomorrow</s> day after tomorrow.

All the college professors loved my portfolio but said I needed to include more sketches if I wanted to land scholarships and stuff D=

And that's it for me. I'd like to give a special thanks to Dev and Strat for being critical, and to my Kneaded Eraser for helping make things look like they are in mid-air.

Crimi's thrilling conclusion then voting, I take it?

Haha, the little monkey from Lego Pirates. :D

Bah, so you didn't photograph the flying bricks and crashing pillars in motion? :(

Bah, so you didn't photograph the flying bricks and crashing pillars in motion? :(I really wanted to (and tried a few) but from two inches away any movement just looked like in incomprehensible blur.

Why doesn't it have a helmet? :P

Anyway, I guess it's time for the FINAL PUNCH... Wish me luck. :)

This one goes to CC.
1) Better humor.
2) Defeated enemy in 1 hit!

Yes, I agree, Crimi gets the vote.

Radium just couldn't convey ACTION!!!

Your voting is not based on the art!
Radium has out-<s>battled</s> arted Crimi the whole time!

The only way Crimi could've won is if his second punch was as good as the first.

Radium beat the crap outta CC.

He gets my vote

I personally preferred the over-the-top-ness of Radium's scenes.

I mean seriously, Chainsaw Laser Blade? Please, this was over before it began.

The point of the battle is not artistic quality, by the imaginativeness of the punches. In this instance, I'm a bit undecided.

Same here. Rad's stuff was so wonderfully over-the-top, but Crimi did the better job in humor. His first punch, especially, was very funny.

So we are voting for HUMOR? we may as well join the game of picture wars over in the Misc. section.

Rad used LEGO. Therefore Rad is awesome.

Mmmh, I'm inclined to go with Rad here. Sorry Crimi, it's one heck of an evil looking monkey, but I simply loved Rad's narration and lego art.

Good reason, but Crimi used a Mario-esque concept.
It's going to be a difficult choice for me...

The part that attracted me to rad is he used a comic dialogue, so it makes for an entertaining art.

Sure, why not! Hey, let's be sarcastic to prove our clearly wrong points everybody!

Look, it's not an art competition, it's an art battle. It's based on who drew a more entertaining bout.

It's not an art competition, but it's also not a picture war or stand-up comedy fight; it's, as you said, an art battle.

I was going to vote for Crimi but he asked me to vote for myself to keep the voting as fair as possible (since he voted for himself too, presumably). I still can't watch his second animation without laughing, though.

I guess it should be seen like this:

As every artist brings in a different style, judge them by what they intend their piece to be.
I suppose if a really brilliant artist went for a non-humor solution and painted breathtaking pictures of epic wars with swirling colors and ingenius composition, he'd probably win over someone with just good humor.

CC's was pretty funny, but I really love the comic book approach Radium took and the lighting on the photographs.

I'd like to congratulate Radium on this one, then. A well deserved winner. I just couldn't beat the LEGO. As n00b said, this was over before it began. No chance for a recount, I guess, as even Florida didn't get one... ;)
