Most of you will probably have heard of (-) +. I've decided I want to make more "+" tilesets but I'm not sure which one to do next. Please vote in the poll above!

Make a pretty beach with sunset and... give the sand a nice color. It's harder than it sounds. Trust me. Trust me on that.


EDIT: If this has nothing to do with changing colors, excuse my ignorance, please.

As long as the additions are stuff like sucker tubes and not "look at all of these other tiles I copied and pasted into the set!"

Beach and Colon could both use better backgrounds. I'd find a colon remake more useful, though. The tileset needs some reorganizing, and some varied backgrounds (and evening version =o).

Yeah, beach was one of the worst OEM tilesets in jazz2. if you could improve that, you will gain a lot of respect :)

Don't whine, it's just a english word/tileset name with a + behind it.

Add a boat, like in the distance for bg and stuff you can make translucent for mist!

Well the sand could definitely use some contrast. Background cliffs with fir trees would be good.

One problem is with size, theres a lot of stuff you want added, but I'll only add stuff which I think is nessacary.

while I personally like the Beach tileset and don't know why it's that hated, it deserves more to be +ed than Colony or HH98... it could use grassy dunes with small bushes on the background

I agree with the inclusion of dunes. Also, is there some way to make the water less headache-inducing?

some people say the water color depends on the tileset palette, but I haven't found out which entries that *should* be then, since I never saw any difference

since you can't change visible events through tilesets other than by palettes, I doubt you can change that

Thats only in 8bit mode Jerry. In 16bit the water defaults to blue.

Thats only in 8bit mode Jerry. In 16bit the water defaults to blue.Oh thanks somehow I never tested that on 8bit :rolleyes:

anyway, I spot no dunes on that picture, so we could say the following: there are two types of beaches, of which we have seen one picture each :P
