I just think you guys are idiots for choosing perhaps the most important West Coast city for the East Coast meet.
Especially since I'll actually be on the East Coast this year.

Well you're open to make suggestions. :P These are the only serious suggestions we've got so far.

1. What are the chances that you will attend?
Very good, I'd say around 85%. Barring any unforeseen circumstances.
2. What part of summer (summer being July 10th-August 15th) would be convenient? If you have convenience limits, would the traditional August 1st-7th be acceptable?
This depends a lot on whether or not I have classes during the summer, which I'm not sure about. We'll have to see. If I do, then the earliest I could go would be early August. If I don't, then anything is good.
I'm curious, is this whole meeting going to be a 7-day deal? Because that seems extraordinarily long even compared to EC2005, which I thought was pretty long as-is.
3. Would you have trouble making it to the following?:
a. Pacific Northwest: No.
b. Montreal: Maybe. It's costly.
c. Northern California: No.
4. How many people would you be bringing, including you?
Myself, Ani, Ani's friend and possibly Velk.
5. Would you have any problem affording this pricing scale per night: $40 for one person, $75 for two people, $100 for three people?
I hope this is split however-many ways? So for three people, we'd each be paying $33 a night, not $100. I'm cool with it either way.
6. Any other comments?

... He has a very good point. Though a lot of people are aware of the unspoken tradition, apparently. So whatever.
Question: What happened to it being in Victoria? Someone told me that on the channel about a month ago.

Mainly, people said they would prefer Vancouver because it was closer to more members, transportation was much less of an issue and the places we could find were downtown instead of in the suburbs.
Alright, that makes sense.

True...how come the East Coast Meeting is planned to be on the West Coast? That's insanity!
I think we need a South Coast meeting, hear hear!

Huh? I'm totally not aware of any "unspoken tradition." Is there going to be an east coast meeting this year?

a. Pacific Northwest: Nope
b. Montreal: Maybe
c. Northern California: Nope
