Hello everyone!

This is a tourney which I arrange just because I feel like arranging one. Maybe this will help me to get a better view of life and stuff. Jerry RR is organizing this with me. He wants to get more experience and help me. This is pretty unofficial as every tournament maybe is.

Teams will consist of three players and a backup. The backup can play all the time too, so just report four players. Teams can be just any random 3 players who like playing with each other. In case you hate each other don't play together.

Signing up begins now

The form is this:

Team name: (eg. Lords of the 8th dimension)
Team Tag: eg. (L8D)
Team Leader: (eg. Yax)
Team members: (eg. Squirrel, Vivando, ChippieBW)
Level suggestions: (eg final resistance, XLM fishy)

The leader should know the e-mail address of all the players and report his own e-mail address.And THE SIGN UPS ARE CLOSED ON WEDNESDAY THE 10th OF JANUARY

So every team signs up like that. I hope to get at least four teams, but it would not be bad to get 16. I will report about the manner of how to play after the signing up is closed. I'm quite sure it will be so that we'll play 1,2 or more divisions each consisting of 4 players and the best of each division faces eventually each other in the final. So it's pretty much similar system to many ice-hockey tournaments.

When you sign up you suggest two levels, which will be then either approved or disapproved by the tournament organizer (me and maybe some people who actually know which level owns or not). IF they are approved then they will be added to the mappool of the tournament. I probably accept all the levels. Btw. the levels must have been published in j20.

Here we always play two rounds. First, team A picks a level and team B picks which team they are, then team B picks level and team A picks the team.

This tournament is organized just for fun maybe, so please all behave well and don't do anything stupid. I will try not to make this tournament boring xd.

YOU are organizing the tournament.
What if for example I have to face you with a pretty good team?
I highly suspect you will only aprove the levels in which you are good in then.
I'd like to make sure those things CANT happen.
The organizer may NOT choose the levels (neither may a clanmate) when playing. That would be way too unfair ;P

Lol!! Yes. I mean they will be chosen to the mappool. Before anything happens. Jerry helps me with this. I only disaprove levels which basically SUCK completely and have recieved 0 in j20. I also disaprove levels that have not been published in j20.

When a game is planned, two teams face each other. While agreeing the time when the match will be played, the two leaders of the team also tell their chosen level to the other leader. So each team picks one level. If you like Veg, you can be the third organizer. It would help me and Jerry out and then you could look after me so that I won't do anything stupid. If you want I give you the privilige to supervise the tourney or something.

And then one bonus rule. One team can't choose the same level twice in a row! That's a weird rule, but it would be boring to see a tournament where everyone just plays Russian Satellite all the time.

Lol there is no such a thing! The teams themself pick their levels:P But they have to pick the levels from the tournament's mappool, and the mappool is chosen by Jerry and Sucer from the level suggestions that you post here. So far the mappool has bblair and semi. You don't need to suggest the same levels again.
So this tournament rely's a lot on the other team's cooperation. It's just for fun, so keep it fun.
Of course depending on how many teams sign up and how good the teams are the winner get's a little fame and glory.

So if for example Sasik Maverick and Nunez sign up and they would choose the same levels as team 17r has chosen, they can play cruel and choose some evil campy levels which everyone hates (including themselfs) like Zaitox station. They never choose the level in an actualy game, but they pick it to the mappool just to annoy the other teams.

Hey one more thing which I forgot to mention! Well I know the e-mail address of all the teamleaders that have signed up so far, but you should mention the e-mail adress which you read, if not daily, preferably more than 4 times a week. Then the leader knows the e-mail adresses or other ways to contact the rest of his or her team so we can easily agree on the time when the games will be played.

Monkey Team and Sausage-Sellers! You have both suggested a level that is already in the mappool. If you choose not to change it in 1 day, the other team that suggested the same level before you can change their suggestion. Lol funny rule:P

How to get started:

You can find your opponents in this topic. I will also send an e-mail to every teamleader, as long as the teamleader has given his or her adress to me!

After you know what team(s) your team is going to face this round, please contact the other team through his or her MSN, or this topic or through me if you must. Agree on a time when your match is going to be played and also try to find a host. Possible hosts are Vegito (if you get him) Me (if you want my laggy server) and Jerry. Also any other host will do.

About the game itself:

There will be two round each till 5 points. The levels are chosen so, that each teams can decide one level! In the first round team A picks level and team B decides weather they are red or blue and on round 2 team B picks level and team A decides weather they are red or blue. The levels must be in the tournament mappool! The mappool admin is Vegito CC, so ask him if any problems.
The winner is the team which wins by overall score. If the game is even, there will be a tiebreaker game till 3 in a third level which is always Jungle's edge. (most neutral level) xd
You can't choose the same level twice in a row! You can't choose the same level as your opponent!

General information:

If you win a game you'll get 3 points, if you win by tie breaker you'll get two points and the loser get's one point. In case two teams have the same amount of points the one with a better score difference will win over him.

The leadership of this tourney is Sucer and Jerry. They decide with the possible help of Vegito what should be done if any problems occour.

Then plz vote 2 teams continue or 4 teams continue from each division!

I also noticed that no team put the any e-mail adress while sign upping, so you'll just have to check this topic often:) I won't send many e-mails.

I've been told by a few guys that group 1 would be much more skillfull than group 2. I don't think so, but I have been wrong many times. Anyway I think the best team will win and I really tried to make the divisions as fair as possible.

Ok so I'll change the round 3 level to GALACTIC WARFARE! It's not in the mappool and it's symmetrical and easy to learn. The draw situation is very rare anyway so I doubt we'll ever need to play Galactic warfare.

Okay so, 17R Vs. JAT has been played just now.

JAT played with Enrico, Riccardo and MasterSven, and 17R played with Sucer, Sperry and Vivando.
JAT choose Distopia as a first level. I hosted myself.
It became 5-2 to 17R.. But it was a real even match actually. It was 2-2 after a while, but then 17R has some sort of rush and scored 3 points in a row.

That turned out to be a good choice for them, because it was 4-0 in like 2 minutes. It didn't take too long till it became 5-0 then. After all pretty good games ;o

If I were you, Sucer, I would just set the date and time for each game without asking both teams (but of course not 1.00 AM Tuesday for example;p). Just like it was in JJ2WC (there was also option to delay a few games if some players couldn't play). Weekend is the best time to play because you have more free time/don't have to go to school/work etc.

We agreed to play at 4 a clock CET but one of our members had school till 5 a clock CET so we were one hour and maybe a bit more late. The UP players waited for over and hour for my team. Thanks a lot. I will talk with the tourney admins if the behaviour of 1337Rabbits will be punished somehow.

The game itself was very tight. Sasik hosted both games.

First round
Level: Je
Scores: 5-4 to UP

UP choose this level and we were blue team. UP played very well and got a lead of 4-2 but we came back to 4-4. Then it was very close game but I died when both of my teammates had said: "DD" so we lost. Good game!

Second Round
Level: Distopia
Scores: 5-1 to 17R

We chose (actually I did without asking anyone) distopia. At first the game was very close and UP controlled the most important areas of the level. Game was 1-1 and we didn't seem to get any scores. Then we started scoring points. I somehow always got the seek PU and I got easely RTS by shooting some bouncy to the red base and then rushing in with seeks.

Well, Sucer started the 1st round some days ago.. So you have to finish both the 1st round matches before next weekend. Then the 2nd round will start, which means you have to play the last two groupmatches..

I honestly hope our next match time will be ARRANGED with us instead of SHARED with us, because:

-CL seemed to be short on time, rather: he wouldnt be there if maverick didnt find sucer
-BB didnt even KNOW about the match because he was never online to tell him the time we had to play
-we had to get purplejazz to play because happy was unavailable at that time too
-CL had to leave after playing half the game because he simply didnt have time
-I'm completely (-) off now because of this weird 'arrangement'. there was NO contact bedween ANYONE other than this ONE post on the JCF. IMO this should've never started because purplejazz isnt even officially in the team and we were NOT in ANY way responsible for the trouble with finding players, since we never got ASKED about a time. I hope this is a lesson to all of you: contact is the key.

Btw. Heavy Jazzers is also eliminated from this tourney because of inactivity so there are only 8 teams left. This round will finish on sunday and the games that have been played will count.

Then the elimination will start! There will be no lower bracket. In elimination there will be 5 games max played. The team that gathered more points picks first level and then you pick levels on turns. So the one who got more points in this starting division has the edge! The team to first win 3 rounds win the game and proceeds to the top 4 teams.

Such are often just for the heck of it and when successful then it's fool's luck.
Alas, Sperry's a very talented and quite experienced player and thus could pull off about anything from any kind of situation. As of, I've witnessed such countless times.

I wonder when we have three members of our team (CP) online at once so we could play that (-)ed game. The same goes for UP too, as expected.
