Hey, guys, I've noticed the first boss music (i.e. the queen in the first stage) is missing. Is it available in other ways, can I record it from the game using some kind of program or stuff alike?

Sorry, but which music is this? It's not in any level of the game. The tune I seek is the boss music from JJ2 first stage (Formerly a Prince - Jazz Castle boss, the queen, Eva's mother).

Version? Didn't get it. I have three JJ2 versions here: original, Secret Files and Christmas Chronicles, and the tune is the same for all of them. It's the very first boss music you hear throughout the game. E.G. Episode 1 (Formerly A Prince), level 1 (Jazz Castle) boss music.

Look in the lower right corner of the menu. Tell me the number you see.

Just to clarify any confusion: What Ansatsuken is talking about is that the boss music from the queen event is different from any other boss music. It's not amongst any of the dictories linked to and I'm not sure what DoubleGJ uploaded as it's no longer there.

Oh, thanks. It's version 1.24.
Another information: it's included in the JJ2 MIDI music in Game Music Database website.

The tune Double GJ uploaded is different from the one I'm after. And the boss music of the queen event isn't exclusive, it plays in some other boss events, e.g. the Schwartzenguard (Carrotus boss, I guess) and Devan's robot (Labratory boss). That's the tune I seek.

I don't get it, I'm exactly sure that's the one. The one with that "DUN DUN DUN" at the beggining of every pattern. Your version is pretty normal, so that shouldn't be different for you. UNLESS you got your Boss1.j2b file overwritten with another file of the same name.

Is there any way of recording a MOD/WAV/MP3 file from the game or the J2B file, so?
And could you upload your file again? The link isn't available anymore.

Here's a program that you can use to convert a j2b file to a readable tracker format on your own. It's not fully operative, though.
And here's your reuploaded boss tune 1 file.

Thanks. I kinda like Jazz 1's music most myself.
And I come back to JJ2 here and there. Sometimes I forget things during my "hiatus"(es)

Nice. Thanks for the link to the music. My dad and I both agree that the music of jazz 1 was probably one of the coolest parts, and probably the most essential to it's atmosphere.
I love the menu music, boss music, diamondus music and medievo music. Awesome.
And btw, I'm new here.
EDIT: I kind would like to be able to start threads now. I got some Jazz Jackrabbit art I want to post.

You should be able to post a thread a short while after making your first reply. Welcome, by the way :)

Pardon me for bumping up this old thread, but two things:
1. Is there any way to convert the files to something a CD player can read? Im compiling all my favorite computer game tunes into it, and it wont be whole without JJ.
2. I found that the JJ3 website has its music available. Its pretty good stuff.

Using XMPlay, in the Device options set the output to "WAV Writer". Then just 'play' the files, and it'll decode them to WAV. You can also turn on "Auto name files" or similar to automatically name the WAVs based on the original file name without prompting.
Using Winamp, there should be similar functionality available.

You can also use Modplug to convert modules (.IT, .MOD, .S3M, etc.) into MP3's. I do that all the time for my MP3 player.
It's just File> Save as MP3.
