I found out I have a trial version of Painter IX that came with my stylus tablet. It's fantastic! I think I'm going to buy it.

Anyway, I used it to draw/paint one of my friends:

Nice work! Are those supposed to be crutches she is holding? The hair is well done too.

Wow, that's very close! Did you do it from referencing (you have the picture next to what you are doing) or tracing (you drew over the picture, ala layers in Paint .net or Photoshop)?
