Hello there. I'm having a big problem. Ok what I did is delete all of my Jazz 2 stuff off the hardrive. (I didn't doing it by going into add and remove. I did it manually) Then today I wanted to reinstall it into my computer. I though since the files were gone the computer think that the computer would let me install it. So i put in the disk and it still thinks it's in the computer! It won't let me run the game, or uninstall it. So i can install it. So I go and explore the cd and try and start the install manually. It says that I already have a better version of Jazz 2 than 1.22 and it cancels. So i copy everything from the cd that makes the game work onto my computer. The game runs but I want to upgrade it to 1.23. So i download the patch but when I run it it says that Jazz 2 is already patched to 1.23. But it's not. Plus since I copyed everything over when I exit the game it freezes up my computer.        Any help?

Well, you should've removed it through Add/Remove programs. JJ2 thought it was installed because its registry entries had not been removed, and I'm guessing the registry settings are causing your problem.

To get off to a clean start, you'll need to remove your JJ2 folder once again. Then, go to Start->Run, and type in regedit

Be careful and follow these instructions, and don't touch anything else in the registry.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->Software->Epic Megagames. Remove all JJ2 entries.
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Epic Megagames. Remove all JJ2 entries.

Now you should be able to install the game the proper way.
