Carrotade Help

I wasn't sure where to put this.
Anyway, I decided to try out Carrotade today. I tried loading up a level that has pits but it just won't load up. JJ2 crashes back to the credits and then exits to Windows.
Am I doing something wrong? I'm using 1.23+.

OK, I tried using a normal 1.23 version but I'm still getting the same problem.

You're only meant to run Carrotade as a server.
