This is getting out of hand. The administrators/mods have nothing better to do than delete posts. And they're deleting relevant posts now. So yes this is really becoming an ongoing issue.

Look right here:

Can't birdie and I have a peaceful argument without the posts getting deleted. And the posts were relevant. Birdie's telling me that since i want a maplestory tileset made, maplestory's my life. I turned around and said jj2's his life. He said is not. I said oh yeah sorry I forgot. Unreal. That's the other game he plays. That really was relevant.

Or another one?

Now that's another unfair incident. Birdie was just telling Link that yes he got the signature fixed. Link asked a question and birdie answered it. So what in the heck was stijn thinking by deleting that post?

And the list of recently deleted posts just goes on. Now come on. You guys are getting a little out of hand here don't you think? You going to delete this thread now even though it's entirety has to do with Site and Forum Feedback? Go for it. It'll explain a lot about the administration of this forum. This is simple constructive criticism.

I'd like an example of how "the list just goes on" then.

Birdie's post was deleted because the forum/thread it was in is only meant for real discussion about the rules. If you'd have scrolled up a bit you'd have seen multiple posts deleted for the same reason. If anything I should've deleted more posts rather than less.

Your "relevant discussion" with Birdie was nothing more than an off-topic yes-no fight that had no value for the topic and was thus deleted. The somewhat blunt edit reason (I should've phrased it otherwise, apologies.) was because I was quite tired.

Assuming this thread would get deleted makes no sense.

These posts were in the "What tilesets do you want?" thread. Not only should conversations between two people be kept in private messages, the posts were irrelevant to the discussion of tilesets. Some degree of topic derailment may occur in the non Jazz-related forums. This is undesired in the Jazz-related forums.

As Stijn mentioned earlier, Birdie's post was deleted because it was meant for discussion about the rules. Since a reply to the question could be interpreted as being part of the discussion, the post has been restored with some elaboration.

And the list of recently deleted posts just goes on. Now come on. You guys are getting a little out of hand here don't you think? You going to delete this thread now even though it's entirety has to do with Site and Forum Feedback? Go for it. It'll explain a lot about the administration of this forum. Because all of the posts you just described had very good reasons for being deleted, I am very confident that most of the posts on your list of recently deleted posts also had good reasons to be deleted. Maybe our deletion explanations would be a better target for criticism. It is possible that "Off-topic" would have been a better explanation for the deleted posts than "get a life," for instance.

Hopefully this helps explain why those posts were deleted.

I have moved the posts to <a href="http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/showthread.php?t=16686">here</a>, making the whole issue void.

Please don't bring me into things like this drmoo, as I have no problems with the administration and moderation. Also, Hi Derby!

Is there something like Godwin's Law for communists?

Stijn

I heard it says threads get closed when the author finds no better discussion arguments than comparing his opponents to communists.
