JDC 13 Logo Contest

Long awaited season is finally here, and it's time for a new logo.

<b>Rules</b>


Image must be 385x130 pixels.
It must not clash with the current colour scheme.
Keep filesize reasonable; Around 70kb is fine.
Include "JDC" in the picture, and make it easily readable. All other words are optional.
Preferably have the artwork reflect the competition aspect of JJ2.


These are taken directly from EvilMike's topic, with a few minor modifications.

As for the deadline, everything is sort of rushed, and the opening date for JDC is said to be on the 14th of july (not set in stone). Try to make one before then.

I disagree. Most JDC logo entries use predone Jazz images (see: Last season's winner) (and usually just the same stock), and just because you can draw Jazz really well doesn't mean your logo will win.

I'd like to comment on the grammar of 'Jazz Duelist's Challenge'. It should be 'duelists'' if the participants are duelists, and the competition belongs to them, and 'duelist's' if it's a Jazz Duelist who is hosting the competition. 'Duelist's' isn't incorrect because of this, however, because 'Jazz Duelist's Challenge' could also mean a challenge...for...Jazz Duelists. It is like 'Freud is the poor man's Jung', and 'we had mariner's pie for dinner'. It makes more sense when we add a definite article: 'The Jazz Duelist's Challenge'. Oh, and now we know why some people prefer double quotation marks.

EDIT: I wrote a comment about Sacrush's logo, but it turned out it has already been commented on, so it's gone now (I need new pronouns). Maybe they could fight over Eva, Fat Chick, or the Witch instead?

Maybe the hidden artist in you has long since passed away.
And I'd recommend drawing and coloring on paper and then taking a shot out of that making it an actual drawing.
Technically you haven't drawn anything if you make it on a computer.

That is not to say that yours wouldn't have been good, of course.
I couldn't have made better ones myself...

The old jazz makes me feel wonderful. Jazz Jackrabbit Demo was the first real computer game I ever played! I used to draw jazz in every art work I did at school and the teacher eventually banned jazz and gave me detention everytime I drew him. Wonderful teachers...

Some impressive logos this year. Some almost made it. Cooba's had the problem of looking like a movie poster, every version he had of it. P4ul's are a bit too modern looking and lacked jj2's 'feel'. Most of everyone else's did clash with the color scheme, but they look good on their own.

R3p gets the coolest logo award just because.

This will be added to the site. However, please try to avoid making the 'buttonish' borders for future logos, as they make the site look like there's more to be desired. This logo doesn't capture the competitive aspect of jj2 as much as some of the others; This is chosen because it captured jj2's atmosphere with a modern feel too.
