ITT ask questions that you want answers to, but aren't worth starting a whole thread about.
Here's my dumb question: can 1.24 players join a 1.23 server out of the box? Thanks in advance.

No. In any JJ2 version, you can only join servers running that same version.

You can join 1.23 servers with TSF but you need a program, e.g. Project Controller 4.

Thus, not out of the box...
I posess the original JJ1, but it only contains the holiday episode. Am I allowed to get the other episodes too?

What you have is Jazz Jackrabbit: Holiday Hare. Holiday Hare is a shareware episode and doesn't give you license to own the other episodes. At least, not legally.

If I have an original Jazz Jackrabbit Advance cartdrige, but don't own a Gameboy Advance, is it legal to play the game on an emulator?

Emulators are legal, but not ROMs (unless you own a legal copy), so yes. A good GBA emulator is Visual Boy Advance (http://vba.ngemu.com/). Do note that the emulator automatically has frameskip on (last I used it), so for a smoother performance you should turn it off.

There's several questions in this thread. It'd be helpful if you quoted the question you are referring to.

Point of thread seems understood. The first question in particular is an old issue that I haven't seen discussed in a year or two, but used to come up quite frequently.

Yeah, I've seen it before, I just forgot about it.
And to be quite honest this thread was to avoid tons of threads containing only one question, containing them all in a single thread.

lol if that's a serious question you'll need a copy of the game, preferably the list server patch, and i'd recommend neoac if you're going to be hosting servers.

Here's a dumb n00bish question:
Has anyone beaten Jazz Jackrabbit Advance? If so, How the heck do you get past the fort in the beginning of Stage 3(IceBox 3) Level 2? I tried jumping on the platform above the door but that stupid bunny can't reach!!
DoubleGJ
Sep 4, 2007, 03:31 AM
Many people have this problem, not only in this level, but also in one of Pollutus levels, near the exit warp.
Anyway, note that you jump slightly higher if you start the helicopter ears move before reaching the top peak of your jump. Speaking more simply, push the jump button again just a second before you start falling. That should do fine.

Captain Claw was some sort of JJ2 rival back when they were being made, but they don't really have all that much in common. Sonic's probably your best bet.

Hi there! Considering I'm a n00b I get a free dumb question, right? :P

Thanks ;)

So you mean some versions of TSF come with ALL episodes? Now that's cool.
I tried yesterday to put all files of Jazz 2 into the TSF directory, I only left out those that had the same name and would overwrite. Didn't work. Maybe I'll try again today and have a look at the cfg file...
