ATTN to all people of this board. Do any of you think that it sucks that we're hardly noticed? There has to be SOME way to bring life back to this place. Many people here have talent, I admit some even better than mine...(I suck sometimes, though)

Why, do we get shunned by the others who don't come here? Are we to remain in the darkness, without a home to express our creativity?! Or has the public lost faith in us? I know some of us have the power to reserrect this board...we just have to do it together.

I know that this may be locked, but I just want to point out this fact, that if we can type our stories with pride, spellchecking and proper spacing, the stories may become even better, and people may post thier comments on our work.

A toast to reviving this board! And to all the authors here!

Good luck sur, and have fun while you try. I may be an author too, but whatever.

Gee whiz Jwren, I seem to have beaten you to the punch on your suggestions (http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/showthread.php?t=15135)

Which isn't a bad time to point out that there is a new n00b: SC chapter being worked on right now! Be prepared for sometime in early October when "Chapter 4: In which n00b learns a bit more about his target and does some recon" hits the intarwebs!

Not everyone wants to read long stories. :/
We can't do much against that, I guess...

ToU had readers D=. AND I'm quite sure it's the longest thing in here.

...I know. My fight may be long and hard, but I must be strong, for this place is great, and there is little else to go. I'm sure we can do this if we think of something, but I will not give up!

Because I'm totally moving my fanfics here.
No.

It's not going to work but good luck anyway. I'll try and post something soon. It won't be Jazz related however.

Most of us either have other places online that we put our work or we're just too busy to update/write regularly. While I appreciate the sentiment, the WT has always been quiet (I admit, it used to be a little livelier). There's just not any interest from majority of the JCF members.

The suggestion of "typing our stories with pride" is pretty much already in use, by the way. Most of us use proper grammar, punctuation, capitalization etc. while writing. Easier to read.

Copper and Nova speak truth. There are much better places to post writing - namely communities specifically focused on writing, as people there will be more agreeable to reading.

And this place isn't THAT dead; Tales of Uberbob is both very much alive AND encompasses 47% of the War Tavern. More if you count spinoffs, like Unknown Rabbit's fanfic or Lem/Risp/Xion's spinoff game.

V_V; Thanks for pointing that out. I already know I'm doomed, it's just I hardly have anywhere else to go. GameFaqs ain't a good idea...and Fanfiction.net might not allow me...

Dang it. Life sucks.

Fanfiction.net might not allow me..."Might not allow you"? I'm pretty sure registration for it consists of pressing two buttons and typing a pen name.

Fanfiction.net is home to writing a hundred times worse in concept and execution than anything here (including your work, Jwren) so I don't see why they won't.

Dear lord yes, some of the stuff on there, it's enough to make you cry. (And I don't mean the stuff that's just due to inexperience; some people just should not write.)

...Yeah, so I noticed. I already posted...What, half of a story on there? But I haven't had any reviews yet. Sucks to be me. You should be able to find it under Games, Summon Night. The name stands out, being one of the biggest...*sigh*

So depressed. I'D rather NOT let this place die, though. *sulks*

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Who's letting the WT die? It's still got its core fans. Things may be slow but I don't think the WT is going anywhere anytime soon.

Hm. Maybe when I finally get to finishing something, I might post if it worries you so much :/.

...Well, it would be good to see how your work is. I'm very interested in other's work here, making me proud to be a part of this amazing place. With the amount of time I spend here, I wonder if I could apply for an admin...

Joshua:...? A-D-M-I-N-? What's that?

As far as I know, the general rule on the JCF is that you can't be an Admin unless you don't expect it or want it. It's like the Buddhist approach to promotion.

So depressed. I'D rather NOT let this place die, though. *sulks*
Are my four monster threads that take up half the WT invisible to people D= ? It's not dead.

The war tavern is anything but dead, and I do my best to help contribute to its livelihood. There are a lot of great authors here, including Coppertop, Radium, The SlaYeR, and more. Heck, I like to think I'm not a bad author myself.

Considering the fact that all of these authors are still contributing on a relatively frequent basis, I submit to you that the War Tavern is not dead at all.

I think WT was never that active. Sure, it aint booming business here, but if we compare the whole JCF to a big forum like Gathering of Tweakers, we could say the whole JCF is dead.
What I mean to say, is that WT gets updated a lot less frequent, but that low frequency doesn't mean it is dead.

And hey, I was thinking of writing something for WT when I came to this forum the first time. I might upload a story if I ever get the time to finish it.

...True, true. The War Tavern's largest things make my story dwarf in comparison to size. Of course mine's a one...well, two person job with the exception of the two before the one before this.

It's just I got too much time on my hands and hardly go to the other forums anyway. I DO own the game and play it often, just don't compete all that much.

Joshua: Don't let the power go to your head.

super: So what? Let it go to my feet?

Joshua:...V_V

Asking to be made admin is probably an excellent way to ensure you are never chosen :)

In any case, no matter how limited the interest is in the WT, there is still interest. Admittedly, it would be nice to see more activity; however, I would rather see the low amounts of excellent writing that we have now than see high amounts of poor writing that nobody wants to read.

I know. I'm just saying I've got too much time and energy to burn and was willing to give it all I got. Besides, I knew if I asked I'd be ignored anyway, and even if I didn't, I wouldn't have had an offer.

It doesn't matter. I'd probably be taking someone else's job. And that wouldn't be fair. And I want the quality to be good too, Copper. I need to improve my own skills. The time-line of my stories is somewhat messed up.

I'll fix it, though.
