New JDC Features

All of the things I'll suggest where probably posted already, but even if, I'll just post it again now to re-open the topic for discussion. I've got some suggestions for new "fetures" or "options" for JDC and I'd like to hear your opinions, especially from those who scripted JDC, if those ideas were ok, and especially if they could be implemented with too much trouble.

1) Add an extra field in someone's account's profile for "Clan" and let them decide whether to show the clan tag, and if before or after their name. E.g. my account is Unhit, so i could enter [TF] as a clantag and select it to be shown behind my name so that my name would appear on the list as [TF].

2) Expand the "personal" page of people. Right now, if you click on overall and then on a player, you already get nice information about their stats for the current season and its rounds. But why not expand this on past seasons (at least those which already had the round system, for I believe (no clue if it's actually like that) that this data should have the same or a similar format). So this means that if you'd click on a player then, you'd get to see the page you see now, but also the option to switch to a past season to view their stats from this one (right now, it looks like this:
Overall | 1 | 2 | 3 | ...
and maybe then it could look like
Season x | Season x+1 | Season x+2 | ...
Overall | 1 | 2 | 3 | ...
Also, this user page could be expanded with a frame showing that player's awards, e.g. rankings in past season and possible awards they gained. This frame would always show all awards, just like the playername (and the clantag!), their e-mail etc.

And show how many points you gut from the duel/2v2/event. Oh, and a place to see how many total event points you gut (and from wich event, like the duels and 2v2). I think I saw "event score" or somthin in some account, but I can't remember who and others don't seem to have it.

This would unfortunately require making a lot of little changes everywhere... not sure it's worth it.

Showing information for past seasons is a nice idea and it would *probably* work for the most past seasons in round based seasons but it presents a number of problems should we ever want to change the scoring rules. JDC9-JDC14 have scoring systems that are fairly close to each other but it's been so long that I'm not sure how and when changes have been made.

I make small changes to the JDC code each season so there is no reason why the table structures from previous seasons have to be the same. I know that they are close, but not identical to each other. I'd have to do a lot of work to figure out how the seasons differ from one another to get past seasons working.

Showing the point breakdown for each duel/2on2 doesn't make sense.

At least I wasn't mistaken about the the fact that the jdc system hangs at a balance. It's quite marvelous. I'd like to know more about how it's organized/maintained, sometime. As long as that's not a problem.

Okay, another suggestion..

Maybe it's a nice idea to change the colors of the head2head's at the personal pages of each player, so it's easy to see if someone is doing well or not.
