If there is enough need, I might add this functionality to Controller 4.1.

Yes, I've hosted up to 3 games before at the same time, and getting people to join all servers at the same time.

sidenote: the listsevrer protocol cant handle it, and the listserver lists as 10052 no matter what
hitch must have used like 3 different computers/IPs

How about hosting on 1.23 and TSF with TEC?
Grytolle
Feb 26, 2008, 06:30 AM
Then 1.23 people can't join
DanZeal
Feb 27, 2008, 02:29 PM
And what is TEC?
Birdie
Feb 28, 2008, 03:29 PM
And what is TEC?
I am quite inclined to say 'junk' but...
TEC is a hack of 1.24 which allows you to join 1.23 servers, the better alternative is to just use a version switcher.
Grytolle
Feb 28, 2008, 04:10 PM
no, that's worse, because you need to run 2 programs then
Birdie
Feb 28, 2008, 05:18 PM
Is it worse because you have to run two programs, or just because you have to open them both? :l
Cpp
Feb 28, 2008, 07:35 PM
Technically, having two jj2 executables is worse because they occupy more disk space than just one executable plus a version switcher. ;)
Grytolle
Feb 29, 2008, 12:54 AM
Because it takes like 15 extra clicks
DanZeal
Feb 29, 2008, 10:09 AM
why not just use 1.23+ in that case?
Vegito
Feb 29, 2008, 01:41 PM
because it crashes a lot, its very unstable.
<s>unless u're talking about Blurs version which isn't made public yet....</s>

Also because there's no such functionality in 1.23+ :)!

And other people say it's crap *hints at blur to come up with a new server utility or a new version of carrotade that doesn't crash when I talk without the alternate .dll*
