Ok Jazz has no future we ( at least I ) know that ( I hope I'm wrong tough... ) but wouldent it be cool if we could make JJ2 better ( not just with tilesets ) if the artists could make a new character ? I mean how hard can it be ? If they can make cool tilesets why wouldent they make a new character ? They alredy have a base, the blue rabbit ( Razz or something ), just imagine ,,RAZZ JACKRABBIT''. There alredy is a image if how Razz could look like ( personaly I dont like it... but ) http://www.jazz2online.com/j3f/Razz.jpg . Dunno maybe he should look like this, Blue fur ( ofcourse... ), orange sports jacket, a bandana with the same color, realy cool, show-off kinda guy, as for the blaster it should be eighter a SMG ( dunno something inspired after a M5 or something ) or 2 duals ( no need to act like duals, just for show ). Wouldent it be cool ? Well, not my ideas, just the general character theme...
Btw your probabily wondering ( or not ) why I like the clothing orange... its because all the other characters had the clothing color oposite with the fur color, JAZZ GREEN - RED SPAZ RED - BLUE LORI YELLOW - PURPLE RAZZ BLUE - ORANGE

Dual guns would be cool. Razz would look like Lora Croft.

well it wouldn't be easy. Possibly? maybe. The problem with doing that is that you would have to edit the anims.j2a file. When you go online as Razz the other clients would see you as something different (or you would simply crash from a CRC error).

Tilesets were implemented into the game as something that the creators wanted you to be able to use. Sprite Dynamite was not implemented and is not easily thrown in. You've never even tried to build a tileset before, have you?
just imagine ,,RAZZ JACKRABBIT'
It would have to keep the name Jazz Jackrabbit. When TSF came out, did they rename the game to Lori Jackrabbit?

I don't think something like this would be worth it. Everybody would have to update their anims.j2a file (or they could replace Spaz with Razz or something along those lines). This would also cause a problem for people who aren't on the forums, who don't know about jazz2online.com but they just play online for fun, as we would show up as Spaz to them and not Razz. It's a good idea, but I really don't forsee it becoming a reality. Unless you wanna get to work...

Imagine the amount of animation that this requires. Cool idea however, I don't see this becoming a reality either. But who knows, what the future of the community will bring!

Seriously, now? Some people thought that the 40ish frames of animation it takes to make custom Bonus level sprites for say, Lori, would be too much for this community to handle. Jazz has 698 frames.
Yeah, hahahahahahaha.
Cool idea though.

I agree with everyone else. If we can get more decent sprite artists, we should try to convince them to work on new tilesets, which JJ2 desperately needs.

I don't think razz really fits in with his other fellow jackrabbits. (Clothing)

Someone could at least try, as for the online conflicts JJ2 had 52MB damn it, is it too much to store 2 versions on the PC ? Right now I have 3 JJ2s on my PC ( 1st Is the full one, al EPs, lots of tilesets, 2nd is Christmass Cronicles, i only keep it cos I like the menu background HAHAHA IM NUB and 3rd is the 1st version of JJ2, it doesnt have any patches, any eps, i use it for testing ). Hey if ppl can modify games such as NFS MW or GTA SA or blah blah blah... and cant modify a game made 10 years ago ?

I dident say the clothing I picked was the best, some ppl may come out with better ideas.

If we want Razz to appear in JJ the source code is the single way to do that for sure...

But there are a lot of noobs who play online who don't even know that J2O exists, much less would they be able to get the patch and apply it so Razz is implemented in their game.

We don't have the sourcecode for jj2...(crossout)
It can be done. I never said it couldn't. I said it would probably be a waste of time. And there's a lot of *pointless* work involved in doing it.
