I was looking at my JJ2 box which i bought when it came out. The front says it comes with JJ1 but didn't. Just today, after 10 years i found this wedged in the box:

We Made a mistake...
The first batch of CD's produced for Jazz Jackrabbit 2 did not include the original version of Jazz Jackrabbit.

Just Call 1-877-godgames and we will express ship your copy to you free of charge.

So, does anyone think i can actually still get it? They do owe me...

Godgames is now owned by 2K, part of Take 2(which makes GTA)
Im gonna contact them and try to get it. I already have JJ1 but a 10yr old CD version would be cool.

They could have some JJ1 CD's left in their whatever storage area, you'll never know! :p

I remember calling and getting a web address with username and password where they let me download it before I got my CD shipped to me. I don't have the information anymore, but maybe somebody does, despite the slim chance it's still up there...

Doesn't really help you if all you want is the disc though.

Sue them if they don't give it to you. You could make some good money there.

I already thought of sueing them if they dont give it. The made a crap load of money of GTA4 i'm sure they could spare like 100K or an xbox with all their products or something. i dunno. still want the JJ1, but i think i could pass it up for $100,000.

You'll need a pretty good lawyer if you're planning to get $100,000 for not receiving a game that's worth maybe $10. And pretty good lawyers tend to cost a lot of monies, so it might just even out.

The pack that was supposed to have JJ1 and JJ2 that i bought was 8.99 in Canada so its worth like $3 in value i'd guess

I lost my original episode 1-3 and 4-6 floppies long ago when I prepared my once so messy room for a new computer lol, but luckely I found the CD version for like $10 in a store years after I bought Jazz2..

Here's a little off-topic, does any of your Jazz1 CD versions have that glitch with the airboard in the Medivo2 level (episode1) not disappearing at the spot near the end? Not that it's important however, I noticed both the shareware and my original Floppy (the one with episodes 1-3) did this thing right.. :p

You know, I just kind of used that as an excuse to just download a copy of the game when I found my old JJ2 box a few years ago but if you want to go sue them over it then be my guest.

I had that paper too but I lost it when somebody in the house threw out the JJ2 box, never had a chance to call it

Given that it's been 10 years you wouldn't be able to sue them for it. It's not reasonable to expect them to keep up to that promise after this long without explicitly extending the offer.

Note that this refers to the civilised world, so those of you in the USA may be in luck :p

I've got my Jazz 1 and Jazz 2 comics from my Jazz 2 box right next to me. But I thought I got mine pretty early. Guess I wasn't one of the firsts :(

Yeah. When I bought JJ2, they were adding JJ2 as a bonus to any game purchased. So, me being the intelligent little 9 year old I was, bought some Railroad Tycoon expansion pack which was cheaper than JJ2 was being sold for and got JJ2 for free. Nice job, GoDGames. Anyway, I then called them and they gave the choice of either shipping JJ1 or allowing it to be downloaded. They said it wouldn't run on newer computers and tried to just let me download a "patched version." I just got them to send the boxed JJ1 and got it running just fine by myself. They were dumb faces.

Correct me if im wrong, but if you have or should have a legal purchased copy of the game.

Then isnt it legal to download the full version from a warez site?

Id want the disc as a collectors item. It's been 10 years, the odds that they would still have the disc (or have even acquired it from GOD's stock when they were taken over) are completely against you. You're not missing out anyway, it's just a regular, plain disc that says "Jazz Jackrabbit" on it. Didn't even come in a case.

It's not even likely there are any copies of an original cased Jazz1 disc 'stocked' anywhere.. :p
