Revie order on the website

Does anybody know why the order the reviews are shown in is so weird? That if you post a new one you don`t go to the top or bottom, but in the middle?

The reviews are shown in order of helpful rating. The reviews with the most helpful votes are displayed first, and the ones which were least helpful get displayed at the bottom. Since the rating starts at 0 for a newly posted review, it's logical that it would be placed somewhere around the middle to start with.
