I post it here so more ppl read it

My opinion:
With a clan ladder there be more active clans = more players.
And the ladder will be useful if ambesoftware release jj3 someday.

Could be interesting, but I'm not sure if it's worth the effort however, as the majority of JJ2 clans sort theirselves out.

What do you mean, Slaz?

The result is obvious with TF on top of the pwnage ladder so nn imo

I know that TF will be on the top, but you missed that minor detail that it is under 8 D

Sorry, should have clarified, but we're talking about a list with the winner on top and the loser at the bottom

i can't see why anyone would be against the idea, haha. anyway the real question is, would it not die after a week cuz of inactivity? which i heavily doubt. but good luck anyways.

It cant be to hard to make a clan laddre in JDC.
Or just duplicate JDC and rename things.

Ragnarok!
Oct 6, 2008, 09:27 AM
@Stijn : Yeah, you're backing what I said, winners on the top ( 8 D ) and LOSERS beneath us (TF) if that wasn't clear. ;)

To be honest, if I was experienced enough, I probably would have done this by now, or have ticked the second box. Sadly I am not, so I can't actually do it. It's a great idea.

TF should've died 4 years ago.. but it kinda did, really.

R3ptile
Oct 6, 2008, 10:27 AM

edit: deleted yr reply, nice.

Clan ladder means that at least once per week all clans should play against each other. That's just impossible. Even in 'good old days' only few clanwars were played PER YEAR. It's quite funny, but all of the still 'active' clans don't play any clanwars now. Why? Because they are scary of losing and/or completing its best war team is hard or even impossible. I know what am I talking about because I have tried to arrange few clanwars lately. Actually only one clan accepted the challange, but setting the acceptable date for both teams already takes few weeks.

And you don't need to use system like JDC to this. There are many free scripts based on PHP and MySQL in the web which are good enough for such ladder and very easy in use. I was even thinking about making such ladder, but I have soon realized that it would be just useless.

No need to play every week.
Ofcourse it woulde be great if they do, but no need to.
Take a look at clanbase. Some clans might be able to play that often. But the ladder works even if clans play less. I been a WA for a UT clan on clanbase a few years ago. And yes, sometimes its hard to set a date for a clanwar. But it dident make it less fun.

=o. Again, I think organising clanwars would be a tad more fun with a ladder, and we don't need to play on a weekly basis, but I for one would probably bug Yasco or make wars myself a lot more often if I knew they'd be published or at least somehow implemented somewhere. I mean I'm sure iR and CC would CW more, as well as TF possibly making a 'comeback' to the clan scene if this were to happen or be made. =o (In inverted commas because I know they won't beat 8 D <3)

I fully agree with u, Ragnarok!

In addition to what I said earlier, less experienced clans also could train by doing various wars against other clans. I haven't seen TM in any wars, and I would like to see them too.

Also, English pl0x :(

Implement that thing in JJ2+ lol.. :p

Ric
Oct 16, 2008, 11:21 AM
Y, good idea. Agreed with Slaz too, if it would be implemented in JJ2+ and it would automatically send statistics to a server or something it would be interesting

DanZeal
Oct 17, 2008, 12:42 AM
Like ngstats for UT?
But thats only for 1 player. Not for a clan.
Anyway... first we need the ladder hosted ;-)
And the first ladder should be CTF?
But we can always add DOM and TB.

Better question is who will be the one to make it like that site/using it (I didnt actually see what I was supposed to from the link D; )

Stijn

If someone reliable comes up with a plan on how to organize and keep alive a clan tournament, J2O might offer hosting.

Note that this has not yet been discussed amongst the admins ;) But getting a reliable team and a good plan will probably be a bigger problem than finding hosting.

I said already, I lack the abilities >_>

I would have made this before this post was made if I had them

While I can make one out of excel, I really doubt it would be that good. >_> [the one I made]

I guess that means old teams are gone, which in turn means
that I've wasted 30 minutes of my life. Not that it matters.

DanZeal

Yes.. but now you can challenge other teams

And btw.. can someone edit those pics to something better and more jazzy:

6 teams and 22 players
Still waiting for the first challenge.
Remember that only the team leader can challenge other teams.
If you wanna change team leader, send me a PM.

Or.. you can create a user, make it to team leader and give the password for it to gameleaders in your clan.

The rules have been updated. Now it's possible to play "normal matches" instead of clanwars - d.i. matches that are worth a lot less points. This was done to encourage people to submit spontaneous games

That also makes this like a never ending JDC.

Grytolle

That also makes this like a never ending JDC.No, clan vs. clan isn't too common in JDC - also we don't know when the ladder will end!

The score system for CW matches is now updated.
And is now based on the clans rank. Similar to other clan ladders system.
