Hey all,
I haven't touched JCS in years and now I'm looking over all these new levels and I can't believe some of the changes that have been made in the last decade. Anyone have any suggestions on where to start to relearn all the old stuff and hopefully all the new stuff too?

JCSRef (http://www.jazz2online.com/jcsref/) is always a good resource, if a little dead now.

Other than that it's just practice and a bit of talent. Some things don't change :( (Though odds are that's only really a problem for me)

Yeah, you just need to practice. Keep at it. Also, take a look at all of the stuff JJ2+ has to offer. Best way to do this is probably to either play on servers or just to read the whole manual. There are a range of new gamemodes and stuff to enjoy. So fun fun fun. Also, look at the newer levels and see which ones are good, and notice what little aspects people like about the level. These are to be imitated/improved in your level.

"Reverse engineering" levels is quite easy thanks to Evilmike's series (Being full of k3w1 7r1ck5) is not passworded.
