I was reading through the Jazz Jackrabbit 3 entry on wikipedia and i noticed this:

Additionally, a few more (clearly unfinished) levels were bundled with the Alpha that cannot accessed without first enabling the console and loading them manually. Often these levels are so unfinished that they cannot even be played at all, only viewed through UnrealEd. These maps include unfinished Battle arenas, Level Select hub-worlds, maps that might have possibly been used for cutscenes, and even a playable (but unfinished) singleplayer map originally seen in Jazz Jackrabbit 3 concept art (involving a cliff-side waterfall, a giant mine shaft, and undersea ruins).

Anyone seen or have artwork/screenshots of this waterfall mineshaft underwater ruins area? Ive gone through all the maps in UnrealEd and did not see it.

While the waterfall isn't cliffside, that description sounds a lot like the stuff you find in the castle basement level. especially the mine shaft part.

Yes there's this map, you have to open it through the console, but I don't remember the name. You start off a hill, there are some buildings with enemies and then there's the stuff mentioned in the wiki. The problem is, the water doesn't have any zone settings, so you simply fall to the bottom and it's impossible to get out once you're there. Also, the ruins are untextured and generally unfinished.

I hate when my brain just decides to conveniently skim over a vital part of a sentence =(

Ah man! I can't find my copy of the demo! Have to download again.

Oh woops did I say that out loud? Also what's the command to bring down the console. Love to fool around with the demo.

Tilde key. The opening credits occasionally obscure the console, but this doesn't happen ingame.

Tilde? Did valve play the demo while HL2 was in development.

Yeah, or the tilde key is the de facto default for bringing up the console in pretty much every game.

...since it doesn't have a console.

Would be cool if it had though...

...even though you can launch it from a console with whatever parameters you want.

Commands from Unreal Tourney 99 tend to work.
