Yeah, well, since I want to wait a bit longer with the new 2vs2-tourney (with back-ups, yes) and since the DITv2 is almost finished, here's an interim-tourney! It's a dueltourney which has a binding mappool with 12 levels. Read the rules carefully before signing up!
Don't sign up anymore! :(

RULES
Signing Up
- There are different ways to sign up for this tournament: posting in this thread, sending a PM or starting a MSN conversation. Information needed: Player’s name, country.
- Each sign up can be rejected, without any reason given.
Rules for the Business Before the Matches
- Players can see the opponents they have to face on the schedule. The players themselves are responsible for contacting the opponents and planning the matches.
- It should be a time when both players are ready for the match and when they have enough free time available (each match consists out of two or three rounds (although the different rounds can be played at different times, if both players agree).
- The match should be played before the deadline of a round.
- Matches should be played with a neutral host, but one of the players could eventually host if both players agree. Be sure to find a host with a stable connection, a good know-how of the tournament, who is absolutely unbiased towards both players.
Picking a Level (Read this! It's important!)
- Each level must be a level from the DITbtl Mappool. Arguing about the Mappool in this thread isn’t appreciated.
- You cannot pick the same level twice in a row (as your own choice - 3rd neutral round level don't count). So you can't pick, for instance, Battle 1 twice in a row!
- You cannot pick the same level more than 3 times in the whole tournament. This is to avoid certain levels to be picked over and over again by the same players.
- The two rules above this one don't count for the Finals Bracket
- Since the mappool is binding, you cannot choose a level which is not in the DITbtl Mappool.
In-game Rules
- Once players have entered the server they get a while, like 5 minutes, to collect ammo for the match and to get used to the level.
- Players are not allowed to use any cheat tools, or other kinds of software which gives them a slight advantage over the opponent. ANY player caught cheating (of course, if this is supported with clear evidence from both the host and the opponent – screenshots are preferred) the player ill be DIRECTLY DISQUALIFIED from playing in this tournament, and in any related tournament for the next year. Arguing about a ban is not allowed.
- Inappropriate language, use of racist/fascist terms and other vulgar words are strictly prohibited (it doesn’t matter if one player says the S-word or F-word a few times, but not too much).
- Complaining about lag is allowed as long a it is well supported and appropriate (terms as “(-)ING LAG (-)(-)(-)” aren’t appropriate).
- TNT ammo shouldn’t do any damage, but if both players agree it can do one damage.
- You can't leave during the game. After both players agreed on a host you cannot leave the server because of lag, unless your opponent agrees on finding another host. Just leaving the server because of lag will mean the other player will automatically win the round.
Scoring
- Each duel consists out of two or three games (the first player to win two games is the winner).
- Both players pick one level from the DITbtl Mappool. Games are till 5 points. If the score is tied after two games (1-1 in games) a deciding round should be played (so 5-0 4-5 isn't a 9-5 win for one of the players: the score is round-based). You can agree on a neutral third level with your opponent, but if you for some reason can't agree on anything the Supervisor or an Official will pick a level from the DITbtl Mappool, which you cannot argue about.
- If a match takes too long for any reason, both players might agree on enabling Damage Amplifier or No Carrots, to speed up the duel. This can only be done if both players agree.
After a Duel
- If the match has been played, it should be verified at the tournament’s Supervisor. This can be done through e-mail or MSN. As soon as possible after the verification, the duel will be added in the tourney’s database.
- Brackets will be updated as soon as possible.
- Verification needs the following data: Player 1, Player 2, the host, the maps and round scores.
Problems that might occur, and their solutions
- It could always happen that a person is not online at MSN for a long while or doesn’t respond to any emails sent to them. In that case, the other player should contact an Official. An e-mail will be sent to the non-replying person. If this person doesn’t reply within 48 hours, he or she loses the duel. In case a person’s computer is broken (which could happen), he or she needs to send an email as soon as possible to his/her opponent and an Official, or post a reply in this thread. In that way we can still try to arrange the match before the tournament moves on. If there isn’t any solution, the player will have to leave the tournament after all.
- Players cannot play on certain times because they are away, and while they are home, his/her opponent is gone. If there’s no way a good time can be found, contact an Official and he will try to arrange a decent time. If still no arrangement can be found, the Official will investigate which player has the most available free time spots. The player with the most free time will receive a forfeit win.
- If a map agreement cannot be reached (for a deciding 3rd round), an Official has to be contacted. The Official will pick a random level from the mappool.
- In case a good host cannot be found, an Official needs to be contacted – the Official will try to find a good neutral host, which the players have to accept.
- If it occurs that a player doesn’t want to play a match, the Official will come into play and will ask the refusing player in a 3-person MSN Convo if he/she really doesn’t want to play and why, and if he really refuses, he/she will lose the match. If both players refuse to face each other because of problems, the Official will do a coin flip.
- A player has left the tournament for any reason. In this case, the other player will receive a forfeit win automatically. However, if this occurs while the leaving player hasn't played any game yet, he/she may be replaced by some other player, who didn’t came through the signup phase.
- MSN is down so players cannot contact each other. In the rare cases that this occurs, you can just wait for MSN to be back up soon, and arrange the match then. To prevent being pushed into the deadline because of these problems, try to arrange the match as soon as possible. Also, other methods can be used, such as a thread on the Jazz Community Forums, an IRC Convo, ICQ, e-mail, phone calls, SMS, a letter, or smoke signals.

Are there any changes made in the battle3 level?

Indeed, I just find battle extremely boring ;(.
Anyway, I can obviously be a host and w/e as I don't play anyway o.O.
<s>Lets finish the CTF tourney first though</s>
What about making a group-stage first and the final-stage without lower bracket?

I quote Quickz.
Again 32 players can participate, but read the rules carefully before signing up!
Yes I saw that after I posted...anyway I thought the group-stage would be a good idea

Hmm, sign ups aren't going really fast, which means I'm also considering a groupstage with 24 players -> 8 groups of 3 with the top 2 advancing to the K.O.-stage.
Yea that's definitely better
oh I forgot FO too! It should be in, it was played enough in the last JDC

I'm just shocked not to see FortOblivion there... It's quite good for battle duels...
I actually didn't play this level ever. However, it's now in the mappool since both you and Ric recommend it.
Anyway, can we use /extendedtnt on and /tntdamage 5 in Battle3?
Nope, don't use /extendedtnt on or 5 damage, keep it at 1 damage or no damage at all (see the rules).

I wasn't talking about the feedback, but about the "isn't very well thought through"-line. Also, I didn't actually say he's an idiot, since I know that he knows I put time/effort in this. Admin or not, you should read stuff more carefully before editing.
[This is another instance of the behaviour I warned about. I gave you a friendly suggestion. Yes, it applied to your post. Additionally, I have not said you called anyone an idiot. This is the reason I edited your post for a flame tag (=just incendiary) instead of a personal attack (an actual direct insult). In the future, please do not remove edit notices. - FQuist]
Well, he deleted his post, so I deleted mine. Nothing's wrong with that, right? And since when do admins edit posts to 'give friendly suggestions'? You can keep on moderating then forever. Anyway, point taken, sorry.

Adding a new rule:
- Each player can, before the tourney starts (so he/she won't know the draw yet), veto one level for the whole tournament. This means opponents cannot pick this level against this player.
All veto-levels will be listed behind the signed-up players..
So, if people don't understand this, here's an example:
DarkSonic really loves Hectic Housewars. Now he has to play me. My 'veto-level', which I decided on before the tournament, is Hectic Housewars. He now wants to pick Hectic Housewars, but he can't, since it's my 'veto-level' and now he'll have to pick one of the other 11 levels.

Quickz vs. Ktos
5-3 "EvilMike's Evil Fortress" (his choice)
5-3 "The Highlands" (my choice)
Ktos hosted both rounds. Quite intense games though, especially the second one, where I controlled the level well at the beginning, not giving him a chance to get the Seek PU, but he had a nice comeback. I fortunately still won.
Also, I included a wrong version of "Sandstone Ruins" in the levelpack, without a respawning bouncy PU. I fixed it and I updated the download in the first post. Sorry ;[ .. Be sure to host the right version!

In ARF I went to 2 or 1 h countless times, but kept timing the carrots to stay perfect.
In DP there was a time when we both spammed the crap out of each other while I had low h, but I was lucky to hit him first and not get hurt/die.
I would gain ~25 % control of ARF and ~75 % control of DP after getting the first kill.
Good job and good luck against the rest of us deadbeats.

- You cannot pick the same level more than 3 times in the whole tournament. This is to avoid certain levels to be picked over and over again by the same players.
.. means that every time you play a new opponent and have to pick a level, you should ask yourself the next questions..
1. Did I pick this level against my previous opponent?
Yes - You can't pick it
No - Move on to question 2
2. Did I pick this level three times before in the whole tournament?
Yes - You can't pick it
No - Congratulations, you can pick this level!

On a meager side note: Mappools should have level filenames such as "(acronym for the tournament in question)(acronym for the level-name)" such as "batditdism" or "batdithills", I think you understand what I mean.
It's a sizable inconvenience to search for the right level when the filenames give little to no clue as to what level is in question.

And finally a tip: if someone picks 'The Highlands', the host could cycle the level with /r, and right after that immediately go (so you won't both start with 10000 coins and use the coinwarp all the time). I was leading in Dismal Palace until Qz got a bit lucky, so I became frustrated and did stupid stuff in the later part. In battle1, I got 3-0 very quickly, but he got better. Lastly, Garden Brawl was actually difficult, but I played carefully to avoid becoming frustrated; he could've won really.

Lastly, Garden Brawl was actually difficult but I played carefully to avoid becoming frustrated, he could've won really.
Hmm, the Dismal Palace round was quite okay from my side, though I had quite some terrible start. Battle 1 was really one-sided and he got an immediate lead which he knew to defend. Garden Brawl was.. weird. I always had the feeling he was low on health but somehow he never died.
Anyway, the reason for the post is this: DarkSonic, CelL, Impossibler, Rag, Warrior, Yasco, Gr33nPl4nt and Robee, duel already!! :( The deadline is in 12 days, so you might want to get at least one duel played by now.

Also, I'm still not entirely through fixing my router problems so for now I can only host, and not join servers unless it's through Hamachi (though I gotta get it set up first, never actually used it). It kind of sucks but it'll be like that until I find some time to figure out my router trouble.

DarkSonic d. Slaz: (5-0, 5-0)
DarkSonic hosted both rounds with hamachi, Slaz suggested that. DS picked EvilMike's Evil Fortress, which was quite a good and interesting game. Then Slaz picked Sandstone Ruins, which was really boring and long. Then they put damage amplifier on and DS took a 3-0 lead. Later they turned DA off and played with "No carrots". DS won two more points and the duel.

Nov 22, 2008, 07:37 AM
The duel in SRuins was indeed really boring. Slaz really wasn't as bad as it looks. If we continued without DA or no carrots on I think we were probably still dueling for like 2 hours. And he wasn't that bad there, as I was on 1h or 2h for a few times. The duel in EvilMike's Evil Fortress took 18 minutes, and that was an interesting game like Qz said.

Valmango vs. DarkSonic
5-2 to me at Battle 1 (my choice).
I played very defensively there, though it's not likely for me at b1. DarkSonic camped top carrot (that is near seeker PU) a lot as I expected. I managed to realize my sudden attacks, so he had no chance. One his kill was so lame. He caught me at the seeker PU area and started shooting me with seekers untill I died. I couldn't move at all while he was doing that but whatever.
5-4 to DarkSonic at Dismal Palace (his choice).
After the score had become 2-2 I quickly took a 4-2 lead. But he came back. He violently started hunting at me with bouncers. I couldn't avoid them and eventually died. Also he had so much of luck - due to lag he managed to dodge everything. But anyway, good game!
5-2 to me at Starlight Falls II (neutral).
Well.. VERY long and boring game. I started out very well by taking a 3-0 lead. But then I got tired a bit, so he killed me twice in a row. Right after that I started playing more offensive. Also I was hogging all three carrots very often, so he couldn't heal himself.
Good but very long games. We both had some airs but the lag didn't affect on the result of the game much. Thanks to SJ for hosting.

That's something I usually don't do in B1, but I couldn't resist. ;p
His fourth kill was something like that too, but he was at the bottom left and I couldn't do anything but dodge some seeks. Eventually I died. I didn't play that bad in B1, I even tried the long RF climb at the start and it worked. I got some airs and such but I blame the ammo crates in the level for that. D:
Then the duel in Dismal Palace. I quickly took a 1-0 lead. Then he scored 1-1 and I scored 2-1 afterwards. Then he became much better. He got the carrots before I got them and I couldn't really hit him after that. So it became 4-2 pretty quickly. But I didn't give up. I was at 2h and got a carrot. Then I decided to play aggressively. I somehow made the 4-3 and after that I made 4-4 after a minute or two. Then the final point. It took a while, but I scored the final point and I was surprised that I made such a comeback. It could have been 5-2 if I had bad luck.
The last duel was in starlight falls II. I didn't really start out that well, and it became 3-0 pretty fast. After that it started to get really boring, until I made 3-1. Not long after that I made 3-2, and it started to become a game again. But as I expected he made 4-2. The final point took a while. Somehow I didn't get hit when at 2h and so I was still alive. But that didn't take too long because I died when there were no carrots. Overall it took about 2 hours, but could have been much less if I had lost in Dismal Palace.

The first game had some interesting action even though I had to get used to the level (Evilmike's Evil Fortress). I truly did my best to score a point but DS has proven to be on the upper hand there. The next duel was indeed far from smooth, as it quickly started to be repeative and boring, which even made me consider whether to try a direct attack or move 10 posses to the left to pick a carrot lol. I haven't played Battle games this seriously before this tournament but this duel made it clear that the fun factor depends on the map you're playing. Still GJ and GG! ;)

Quickz vs. DragoN
Well, finished my duel against DragoN. First round was Abandoned Robotics Factory. He started hosting, but after I got like 20 fake carrots (yeah, seriously) we changed hosts while he was leading 3-1. Snooze hosted the second part, where I took a 3-4 lead, but apparently he had huge lag so we decided to postpone the duel. But since I just started playing better I asked him to host the final part (since disappearing health is annoying, but overcomeable), we resumed at 3-3 and he won 5-4.
We then started playing in Sandstone Ruins as my pick, but he had to leave at 0-0 after 30 minutes of, well.. nothing much. He couldn't play for a week after that, so today we resumed and I picked The Highlands instead. I got 30 coins fast and tried to dominate with seekers first and later RF. I scored the first point, he came back to 1-1 but seconds later (I spawned at a good place and he was 1h) I killed him to regain my lead and finally win 5-1.
The neutral level was Garden Brawl, which he wanted and I agreed on, and I played well, taking a 1-0 or 2-0 lead. Then he gave up, didn't really try anymore and I won that 5-0.
Final result: (4-5, 5-1, 5-0)

DarkSonic vs. Master Sven (5-0 Battle1, 5-1 EvilMike's Evil Fortress)
In B1 I was pretty lucky. I started out pretty bad and I had 2h after a minute or so. He also got me around the RF climb spot and the copter a few times, and I survived two times in a row. I also used the long RF climb twice, and it worked. At the end of the duel I was pretty sure there would be a double kill, but I survived that as well. So this could have been 5-1 or 5-2 too.
In EMEF I started out pretty well, and I scored 1-0. But then he made 1-1 and I was not surprised as I didn't play that great at that moment. But after the 1-1 I took control of the match and didn't really make any mistakes. The fourth kill was a bit weird, as he warped on my screen and I think it lagged a bit then. He had some airs too, while I had almost no lag (except one air in EMEF) Good game anyway.. now let's see who will be number 2 in Group E.

Side notes:
Round 1 went fairly well for me, I controlled most of the carrots, and knew where Cryo was going most of the time, getting an easy kill most of the time. Ending the round with an RF chase.
Round 2 just didn't go my way. This would have been my veto level, had I known better. I was actually losing 2-0, then I somehow managed to get 2 kills, making it 2-2. Soon it was 4-4, and I just messed up the last point. He was the more defensive player here, good job!
Round 3 was Sandstorm Ruins. This took 2 or 3 weeks to finish, we had to play this 3 times, before we could finish it. Whenever he could play, which was not very often, I had so little time. Anyway, Sweet hosted the last point, gg.

Well.. CelL and I finished playing our duels.
CelL vs. Valmango
5-2 to me at Abandoned Robotics Factory (CelL's choice).
I started out pretty well by taking a 1-0 lead. Game was going quite long, but it didn't make me unconcentrated and I quckly took a 3-0 lead afterwards. Then so suddenly, I started lagging and ctoed after all. Two minutes later he killed me and I ctoed again. Well it wasn't too hard for him to kill me once again as my network started lagging and I was getting some airs. But anyway, I managed to avoid him when at low health. Good game. To be honest I expected myself to be a loser in that match.
5-3 to me at The Dismal Palace (my choice).
Well I have experienced a lot of tricks here in duel against DarkSonic, so I decided to pick this level. I underestimated CelL here. This time, he played as spaz and was hanging around the top carrot, so I always lost my lives while acrossing that area. He learnt some tricks I used here, and they somehow worked at me. That way he managed to kill me twice in a row very quckly! After the score had become 4-3 I started playing heatedly and it brought nice results. He started losing his lives quickly but still was hanging around the center. I thought out the fact that he's still somewhere in the center and eventually made a final score. Good game.
Thanks to Snooze for hosting those duels... and probably, hello there =]

Schedule 1/8 Finals Upper Bracket (between brackets each player’s last level choice):
FireSworD (SRuins) vs. Sperry (Battle 1)
DarkSonic (Evil Fortress) vs. Warrior (Housewars)
Ragnarok (SFalls2) vs. PurpleJazz (Evil Fortress)
Hitch (SRuins) vs. R3ptile (Housewars)

valmango (Battle 1) vs. CelL (Evil Fortress)

Then this: The Corsair's Coast is from now on no longer part of the mappool. I also strongly recommend all of you to play the Lite edition of Sandstone Ruins (http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/downloads/download.php?levelID=4724) when you play it, since the other one just takes.. too long. SJ and Cryo tried it and it definitely played better.
well the " you can't pick the last level you picked" rule is a bit screwed up now, since someone (myself as well) could have to planned to pick another level in the group-stage but a forfeit win avoided it. I mean, in order to leave your best level(s) for the final-stage. Whatever though, I'm not going to whine about this, just wanted to say.

Confirmed anyway...I had almost full healt all the time and good control of carrots!
In ARF (btw, wasn't it 5-1? ;D) I admit I camped a bit on low healt but I guess everyone do this y? I also tricked him with warps a few times and he did so too before I got killed.
Dismal palace wasn't very well known to me but it's quite small and easy to learn so I had no problem. 5-1 here, sorry for the dinner-break on 2-0.

Garden Brawl: 5-2 (My choice)
Abandoned Robotics Factory 1-5 (Rag's choice)
Starlight Falls II: 5-1 (Neutral)
This was extremely fun and hectic. In the first game I played a bit recklessly, although I had better control over the map and so I won here. Abandoned Robotics Factory was really hard though; he had total control of the map for most of the game. This lasted a very long time, at least an hour. In Starlight Falls II I decided to play aggressively and that really worked for me here, it was a little difficult near the end but a very fun duel. GG.

DarkSonic vs. Warrior
The first round was in Dismal Palace (my choice) I played pretty well (although I had a bad start and none of my tricks worked) and won 5-1 here (could have been 5-2 or 5-3)
The second round was in Battle1 and I thought: not again ;(
Anyway, this was a pretty boring duel. The first point (1-0) took about 10 minutes, and the second (1-1) took about 20 more minutes) The next points didn't take too long, and it became 4-3 in like 10 minutes. Then he had to go and said he didn't really feel like playing anymore. So I got the last point and won 5-3 (I could have lost this as well) Anyway, good game(s) and thanks to Ktos for hosting.

Valmango vs. Vivando
5-2 to me in Battle1 (my choice).
I played defensively and predicted him many times. Once I got trapped near the bouncer power-up due to a mistake. Could had killed him at the hollow of green springs, but he dodged me and escaped.
5-4 to me in Garden Brawl (SJ's choice).
I thought I'd lose this since SJ quickly took a 3-1 lead. However I noticed that he didn't seem to re-cover in full, so I managed to kill him two times in a row. Following two kills were done randomly, at least mine was so, as then I wasn't aimed on attacks at all. I don't remember how the last kill was done, perhaps, I killed him near the pinball or so.
All in all, good games despite of some minor lags. Emp hosted both.

5-3 Ofort 4-5 Sruins 5-2 EMEF against DS.
All 3 were very intense duels. I was constantly adjusting my playing to be less and less predictable, and he was doing the same. We both got very lucky at times, and it could have been anyone's game. As usual Sruins and Ofort were really slow paced, and we even played with 3h in Ofort. He was leading 3-0, but I just got intensely determined not to lose, and pulled a 5-3. In Sruins I had 4-3, but he'd get my health down everytime I used the warp (some lag), but overall I had a few lucky breaks, so it's all fair. The last round I just had to keep him down or I would've lost. Overall, these were the most intense duels I've ever had. They were fun, but the Sruins round got so boring I suggested a time limit.

Eh, don't play with time limits, since they'll encourage passive play (which is a great tactic in a level with 3 carrots like half of the levels in the mappool). Rather decide on decreasing health (to 3 or 4), no carrots or DA. You might even 'drop' one of the carrots with a little adjustment in JCS, lol.

Just a friendly reminder: well, no one picked the same level 3 times yet, but some people picked the following levels two times:
CelL: Abandoned Robotics Factory
DarkSonic: EvilMike's Evil Fortress
FireSworD (2): Battle1 and Sandstone Ruins
Hitch: Hectic Housewars
Quickz (2): Dismal Palace, The Highlands
Ragnarok: Abandoned Robotics Factory
Ric: Fort Oblivion
valmango (2): Battle1, Starlight Falls II
Now the results of the last round:
FireSworD d. DarkSonic: 5-3 OFort, 4-5 SRuins, 5-2 EMEF
Hitch d. PurpleJazz: 5-3 Housewars, 1-5 SFalls2, 5-2 ARF
Vivando d. Ric: 4-5 OFort, 5-3 Dismal, 5-2 EMEF

Ragnarok d. R3ptile: Walkover
Quickz d. Anubis: 5-4 SFalls2, 5-4 GBrawl
CelL d. Enigma: 5-4 ARF, 5-4 GBrawl

Now my comments about the duels with FS (yes, they were very intense)
1st round: Fort Oblivion
I picked this because I couldn't pick it in the previous rounds, and I have done some duels here already. He didn't know the level very well, but after like 20 minutes it was still only 1-0. So we decided to play with 3h. That worked out very well because I was leading 3-0. I didn't get hit a few times, which was weird. But then he came back. I made some mistakes and I wasn't fast enough at some moments. So the game turned in his advantage. It became 3-3, then 3-4 and 3-5 in about 2 minutes. I couldn't get the PUs anymore. Anyway, this was my first loss in this level.
2nd round: Sandstone Ruins
I was surprised that he picked this and I was pretty sure I was going to lose. I scored 1-0 but a few seconds after that he roasted me and so it became 1-1. Then it became very close and intense. I missed the carrot around the Bouncy PU and so it became 2-1. Then I killed him with RFs around the carrot: 2-2. I took the lead after like 10 more minutes, and everything was fine. But that didn't take long as he scored 3-3 and 4-3 after some time. After a longggg period of no roasts I was at 1h and I was almost sure I was going to lose. But I saw him at one of the carrots so I got the other two (I was there just when it spawned a few times) Then I think I killed him because he took the warp and I used Bouncers (not sure of that) but I was surprised and so it was 4-4 and everything was possible again. Then I got another kill (I think it was also a warpkill) and so I won 5-4. This duel was very epic. (TEH EPICK BATELL)
3rd round: EvilMike's Evil Fortress
After Qz flipped a coin (I didn't agree on Housewars and he didn't agree on EMEF) we got to play EMEF. This was a pretty fast duel, as I couldn't really do much but getting carrots and using a lot of Toaster. It was 3-1 and I killed him (3-2) and a few seconds after that he killed me because I had 1h (and he spawned at the same spot) I couldn't really do anything as he had more control over the level. So he won 5-2. I still said gg even though I lost <s>(to prove that I don't say bg all the time)</s>

Well, I actually played better than expected in Battle1 >: ) I thought I'd lose 5-0 or 5-1, but I managed to keep up till 3-3. Great fact: I couldn't do the RF-climb the whole game, lol, which probably lead to my first curse ever in JJ2 (at least in Dutch :P ) ..
Well, then the Highlands round. I started well. Hitting him twice, but then he got stuck with 2h. He got /k and somehow my shots didn't hit him a few times in a row, which lead to him scoring the first point. I got kinda frustrated, got aired a lot and well, couldn't really focus anymore.

DarkSonic vs. Vivando
First round (my choice) starlight falls II
5-3, I was leading 4-1 but then he came back till 4-3. Fortunately I scored the last point.
Second round (his choice) Abandoned Robotics Factory
This time everything went well. I was leading 4-2 and I was very close to winning this, but then he came back. In the end he won 5-4. To be honest I think I deserved to win this, but that didn't happen.
Third and deciding round: EvilMike's Evil Fortress
Well, I was leading 1-0 after a few minutes, then it became 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4 and 3-5. I couldn't do anything except camping at the end, and then got an airhit. Like I said, I think I deserved to win this. Not that he was that bad, but I had so many chances to score the deciding point (according to the spectators) and didn't finish him off. Yes, as I was a spectator, espescially in ARF there were at least 5 big chances for you finish SJ, but somehow you managed to do the wrong stuff all the time then. Lol.
Either way, in Starlight falls and ARF DS was probably generally better, however in the deciding level you both did a lot wrong yet DS did the weirdest stuff there (and was unlucky at times too)
Good job though, SJ, you didn't give up at a point where not too many people would continue to fight :P

Yes, that one however, is a team tournament. But sure, that one should get finished as well.

Now I find it really impossible to arrange a final duel with FireSworD. So why don't I just leave out this duel and thus finally let FS win this tournament. Then I'll get to the LB and duel Vivando. Rag, Sperry and Ric don't seem to be interested in this tournament anymore so I think it'd be better to count them out.
It wouldn't take us much time to arrange and play the duel, so this tournament will be finished in no time.
This is the best way to finish this tournament imo.

Wheres a normal, updated schedule?
Im just wondering if you're putting words into players mouths now. :)

This (http://www.jazz2online.com/tourneys/dit/DITbtl.html) is the latest schedule
Rag and Ric aren't willing to arrange their duel. Accordingly, Sperry can't play. No wonder this tournament isn't progressing. If you want this tournament to get finished fast you either hurry them someway or just count them out. Btw according to Qz's post if none of said duels are played till 8th of March, both players are out. Letting inactive players participate from now on will cause the tournament to slow down.
Anyway I forfeit duel against FS. So it seems I am on SJ's way. If the inactive participants are still in, hurry them up so that in-between winner will reach Vivando and so on. Or just count them out so that I'll duel Vivando and it won't be hard to continue the final part of the tournament.
So, I'm not putting words into their mouths. It's just obvious they're not interested anymore.

Valmango vs. Vivando
Battle1 (my choice) 5-4 for Vivando
Dismal Palace (SJ's choice) 5-3 for Valmango
Starlight Falls II (tiebreaker) 5-4 for Vivando
Good game though I had really bad luck in b1. Last kill was just cheap!

I'll get Sperry to play, the others you can count out I suppose.
Its very likely Sperry/Rag lose against SJ anyway

Yeah, that B1 end was a bit of luck. He happened to spawn right next to me at the top-left of the level, and he got jailed or sth.
Anyway, it was a nice game. Also, how are you FS?

Okay, little change in plans thanks to all the forfeit wins/walkovers etc.
Since certain people wanted to play after all (after SJ and valmango finished their match) I now announce an alternate schedule with semi-finals!
The most progressed player (FS as winner of the UB) will now face the winner of Sperry vs. Rag (the two less progressed players). SJ and valmango played eachother, with SJ winning and progressing to the new final. Or, in a schedule:
Winner UB vs. least progressed player LB
Loser UB vs. most progressed player LB
which means these are the semi-finals:
FireSworD vs. Sperry/Ragnarok
valmango vs. Vivando: 4-5 B1, 5-3 Dismal, 4-5 SFalls2
The winner of the new final will win the tournament. Also, I'm not sure yet about a play-off for the 3rd place. I guess the involved players have to sort that out themselves.
Well, good luck with these duels and let's get this tourney finally finished :D ..

Wait. Aren't I already third? As I forfeited duel with FS and lost one to SJ I should've been third. And now SJ should fight FS for 1st/2nd place. I wouldn't have forfeited if I hadn't known I'd be in the top 3. Otherwise I'd just duel FS in spite of the fact it had been annoying to arrange that duel.
This sucks because I'll again have to duel someone who haven't even played enough games. I don't really have time for arranging and playing extra duels. And according to old rules, players that haven't played within given time should gtfo from the tourney or something like that. Why hadn't those players done something before I started finding a way of finishing this tourney?!
And now when there's a chance to get to the top3 for them they'll definitely wake up and claim for it. If they're still in they must play stated games, not jump over SJ and duel me for 3rd place.
These "little" additions and changes amid the tournament make it unfair, towards me at least, especially if I've played all duels I had to, except one with FS which I actually forfeited due to difficulties in arranging.
Also, there's really no sense in organizing "FS vs. Rag/Sperry". And if you make "me vs. Rag/Sperry" it'll last way longer. There's no sense in these duels especially when the loser is obvious.
You should call off unnecessary and pointless play-off games. Else I'll call off my forfeit to FS and we'll be playing this tournament for ages. Why can't I change my decision when the tournament is about to finish, just like you, Quickz?

wait, you're just saying '(-)(-)(-)(-) make me third already and ignore that rag and sperry still want to play.' basically you played a match that perhaps didn't even have to get played.
You forfeited against fs and went playing without approval of a tournament admin I guess. I told you 'wait perhaps I can get sperry to play' and even rag showed interest. What you're saying now is bs. Sperry played all matches she could have played and rag had to play someone who quit? ;)

...And I thought I was overly explicit and rash with comments sometimes. Anyway, I really don't care who I get. The only thing I care about is if a western host is on, and can host one round. I don't care a whole lot about losing, it's losing duels unfairly, it quite honestly ticks me off, and I no longer tolerate it.

SJ and I asked Qz if we could play that duel. Quickz approved it. I wouldn't play it without his permission. And now when it's been played you talk back. I doubt they still want to play. If they really wanted to they'd have done that already.
And FS, waiting for a duel which I think wouldn't have been played in next months even is irritating so I can't wait that much.
Talking about unnecessary duels I meant the tournament duration. Those duels will just prolong the tournament and I thought this is the last thing you want to happen. I can't decide on things, you can play these duels if you want but getting me to play again is just all against me.
And I am not going to call off anything. I can't bear these additions, they're making me mad and all.
Whatever, if Sperry and Rag are keen on playing these duels so much, they'd better duel asap and the winner will face me like Quickz said.

I said twice before the duel I'd ask sperry at least and rag showed interest too still. That was before the duel too. I don't see your point. Even though you think they suck basically, kicking players out of a tournament while they're active shouldn't happen. You can't deny that.
Edit: and heck, its not even sure if there will be a play-off for the 3rd place so why care?

Fine, shared third place, no play-off, stop freaking out. I said before the losers of both semi-finals get to decide if there will be a play-off or not. Apparently you don't want one so there won't be one, it's that easy.

Anyway, I assume you picked SFalls2 and SpR's choice was Battle3? And who hosted and do you have screenshots? :D I still have 3 screenshots of SJ vs. val, but I'm too lazy to upload 'em..
Anyway, FireSworD next up for you! Congratz SpR with a nice 5th place ^^
