View Full Version : Did anybody notice Noogy is making a game?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I was browsing Kotaku and happened to notice Noogy has spontaneously and almost singlehandedly made a sidescroller. With music by Alexander Brandon. (http://www.elysiantail.com/)

Thoughts?

read the news page, unhit.

From the first few seconds on the trailer, it looks like it's classic noogy animation.

Note that Radium links to the "about" page, which doesn't mention the game. The game itself is only mentioned on the news page.

I saw it a while ago and while I can't say it looks very compelling, the music and art draws me in each time he releases a video. (Of course, my opinion on that will probably change when I get a chance to play it.) Here's hoping for a PC release eventually.

Noogy's reply about platforms (From youtube)

I haven't finalized which platforms I'm releasing on. However, it currently runs beautifully on the PC, since that's where it was created.

Trailer looks pretty epic - I would definitely buy it.

Oh, I thought there was only a movie being created. This was a real surprise for me. Having just seen the trailer, I must admit the art of Noogy is amazingly detailed. I will be looking forward for more news about this.

Given that he's developing it in XNA, I'd certainly hope it ran well on a computer. But if it only ever sees a XBLA Community Games release, that'd be a shame.

Too me, imo, it seems better suited for a gameboy SP/Nintendo DS system. Who knows? I might be interested enough to buy it and hopefully JJ3 will be ressurected lol

Jesus Christ, does that game look beautiful. And Brandon and Geehan doing the music... awesome. I can only hope this plays as good as it looks, and that there will be a PC version. The story elements look a little infantile, but I don't think that's really very important... Let's see how well the game will do with modern audience.

If this gets release as a community game on XBL, then it's time to storm Microsoft about this. (Community games need a constant online connection)

It seems that most of the new games are made only for other platforms than PC and that is not fair..

Yep, console gaming is hot again thanks to it's accessibility.

Amazing. He's even got Alexander Brandon doing the music? Now that's some nostalgia.

I'm glad he won. Now when is the release? :P

It looks really awesome, but there are too many particles, effects and animations when you're fighting more than one enemy (http://www.elysiantail.com/image/dust/stills/still_06.jpg). It reminds me of Super Smash Brothers...
