Do you have Atlantis and Dreamland?

Those were the ones by Basehead, weren't they?

I have Atlantis and Dreamland... but do they actually COUNT since they're not used in the game? I mean, any random song I'd write for any occasion, doesn't matter, if it isn't used I wouldn't count it as a soundtrack.

Medivo and Jaz30 weren't used too. ;p

If a song is intended for the same game, then it's going to be in the same style and part of the same set in terms of the creator, which is surely more important than whether it ended up being used in the game.

Okay so I actually found Dreamland.j2b and jazz2-atlantis.it I am assuming these were the ones in question?

Also, Id like to accurately Catalog the Artists of the music. AS far as I know:

Robert Allen JJ1
Alexander Brandon JJ2
Basehead Atlantis and Dreamland JJ2
Alexander Brandon JJ3
Jaleco? JJA

I know that some of the JJ3 were by other artists. Im sure sombody knows this

Consider Downloading an Album on iTunes with the exclusive bonus tracks. Theyre not actually part of the album, but they are by the same artists, in the same timeframe for the same thing. IMO they count so they shall be included

Robert Allen did a track or two for JJ2 (I know he did one of the boss themes), and I think a completely different composer did the Psychedellius music. Shinen is the music company that did JJA, and it was one of their composers specifically but I can't remember his name off the top of my head.

As for JJ3, I'm pretty sure only one track wasn't done by Alex.

Yeah i checked on the jj3 FAQ it says they were all Alex but Haunted Terrero was Bass Productions.

But, what was the second track in JJ2 done by Robert Allen? Interesting, I don't remember that at all..

Hmm, "Hippie Heaven" (funkyg.j2b, the Psych tileset if that's what you mean by 'Psychedellius') seems to be by Alex Brandon & Sean Hiler, so it's still a bit of Brandon. ;P

JJ2 Boss theme 2 is by Robert A. Allen and Bryan Rudge.

"Streetwize" is by Alexander Brandon but incorporates a theme from "Dope for Your Mind", which was written by Otis/Perseus and remixed by Basehead (Dan Grandpre) - the borrowing is based on the remix and in the sample comments Alex wrongly states that the song is solely by Dan.

"Water Level", again, is by Alex B. only, but it's based on the original Metroid theme by Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka.

It's unclear who wrote the Sugar Rush theme. An obvious bet is Alex, but to me it doesn't sound like his style.

JJ3 demo's "Haunted Terrero" was written by Bass Productions.

All JJGBA music was written by Manfred Linzner.

Quick Question: Where can you find all of the JJ2 songs? Lori Central seems to be the only one with some, and not all of them are there. I think Mono's hosting of them disappeared.

For a second I thought you were lying and now I feel like an idiot for never noticing this.

DoubleGJ

No, Alex did Hopteego. Necros never wrote anything for the JJ games. His nickname is in the sample comments because Alex took samples from his song (Orchard Street) and didn't remove what was written in them.

that maybe confused me than.

Due to legal reasons, no

JJ3 can be found here to download
http://www.jazz2online.com/j3f/jj3music.htm
(Not in mp3 though.)

if you have jj1, jj2, or jj3 music files (.xm, .s3m, .it you can convert them using MPT)

a tool to convert j2b's can be found under downloads.

as for JJAdvance, try googling it.

Some time ago together with Thunder we made a "Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Complete Soundtrack" in hi-q mp3s, consisting of all the JJ2 songs we ever got with all cut out patterns added back in and sometimes outros made instead of fade-outs, a'la Sonic Adventure 2 OST. It still can be finished and there's not much left to do, so maybe I'll manage to give it through this thread.

Oh, and I have the JJGBA soundtrack in mp3s on one of my CDs. I'll look that up tomorrow.
