eh, hi

My first attempt on this whole story posting thing, i like to write but i never really shared it with anyone, hope you like it.

-----

Rennes-le-Chateau.

Well, please dont think its always been like this, my life had a purpose at one point. I had a wife, Lorna Bates, we got married and moved from Nantes, where i had spend my childhood, to the beautyfull city of La rochell, the city where i had lost my heart, and my Lorna.

She told me i had more intrest in the village then in her, i couldnt help it and i didnt try to stop her, so she left, walked out of the door and out of my life, i never saw her back again. Yes, life can be cruel at some points, but we always make it trough evantually..now do we?

Then why is it that ever since i moved to Rennes, i am stuck in this same stage of my life. I've been living away from the daylight for over a year now.. hiding in the church, only going out to visit a store for some food supplies. I could do everything i had to do right here.

There was an altar to pray, benches to sleep on. i had running water.. peace. But something was missing, a main purpose. i just couldnt spend my life in here forever.

My name i Brian Freeman, ghosthunter to some, idiot to others.

People sometimes come to me, when they are in need of shelter.. or forgivness. They look at me as a priest, a saint.

Im not a saint, i have my flaws just like all of us, i have sinned.. i couldnt help it, i was happily married, i didnt see no harm in the acts i commited, the acts of love. Love became such an easy thing, people only had to look at someone and bam the special feeling struck there hearts.

i stood in front of a mirror and looked at myself, my long dark hair fell over my shoulders and my green eyes where tired, they had enough of this life, i scratched my goatee, i planned to shave it but it never came that far i guess its like an old habbit, once you get used to it, it doesnt go away that easily. A strange feeling struck me as i turned around and looked at the faces of one of the statues.

Maria, her face lightened up like the many times before, maybe it was just me, and my lonelyness.. was i losing my mind or was it something unexplainable, she seperated her lips.

"Soon Brian, a man will come, he will be seeking for your help, do not help him Brian, capture him and wait untill Jerricho comes to reclaim him, you will be rewarded Brian.."

That was it, her face moved back to the face i look at everyday.

The dirty church windows let just a little light, the church was lightend by several candels that where decorating the wall.

Two candles died out as he walked passed them, covering the churches walls with creepy shadows.

He approached the altar and fell down on his knees.

Brian looked up at the holy cross. "You work in mysterious ways lord, what does this mean and why are they talking to me."

Brian had to laugh about himself.

"You give me shelter, you give me food, you give me life..."

He then raised his voice. "Now give me some answers, ok?"

Brian stood up and pressed his lips against the cross, he then walked to one of the remaining church benches and lay down on it.

"Yet another day in deep lonelyness, i've had more then enough of this."

He then immidiatly stood up and walked to the back of the church and pushed the doors open, a cold wind entered the church and blew out the last few candles, the sun hurt his eyes and he looked around, birds in trees, the sun high in the sky.

"I had to miss all of this for several years, but i can be happy out here to, not to many people come near the church since i am here."

He walked trough the soft grass and lay down in it. he closed his eyes and slept for several hours, when he woke up the sky was black and filled with a handfull of stars.

He walked back to his old and familiar church and shut the doors when he entered. When he looked at the altar he could make out the silhouet of a person sitting in on his knees.
