Hello people!
I've played Jj2 a looong time ago, then I quit sort off and then I lost my Jj2 CD's, so I never looked at it. Now I found my CD's again (don't ask where) and decided to come back online ^^.
Welll my original name is Jolien (that explains Joizy) yes, I'm a girl and I'm 16 years old (o_O). I play with spaz under tha name Joizy (duuh o_O) and my speciality is speed xD.
Because no one knows me now I decided to open this topic ^^.
I also got a question: is it possible for me to join a clan? I don't know if I'm very good and stuff, but back when I was active I joined several clans and got many skill-lessons.
Woaah long topic :o.
Well cya ^.-

Hello Joizy!
Welcome back to the glorious world of JJ2!
If you want to be in a clan, there are many clans at Clan ladder. (www.jazzjackrabbit.net)

It's different from clan to clan, but basically you ask someone who's already in the clan and (s)he will probably know what to do.
Welcome, have a nice stay ;)

Yeah, the best way to join a clan is to talk to people who are in clans. I've been invited to a good number just by playing jj2 online while members of various clans also happened to be playing.

A newcomer! Hissss!
I mean, welcome.
You should know that the actively playing community takes little place in this here forum.

If you are skilled enough in CTF and if you know CTF codes, you can join most of the clans. (And do not forget about flaming. Some clans will try to turn you against the other clan/s,but ignore that and join the one that really suits you.) Find the leaders or recruiters in-game,or visit the clan ladder and see the list of clans and their leaders/recruiters.

Hmm... I don't know the CTF codes good enough, but I'll just discover everything, because Jj2+ is very new to me. And yes, I like hotels ^^; I make them all the time XD.

Welcome back! ;)
Usually, clans have a so-called Warteam which consists of an arranged group of skilled members, who are the most likely to be assigned for serious clanwars. Other than that, joining any active JJ2 clan doesn't appear to be so hard at this moment.

Really? Okay, well I'll just see for now if someone thinks I'm worthy enough to join one of their clans.
I hate it btw that I can't host :/ and I already know that if I lay one finger on our router downstairs I'll be dead :/.

;p To bad nobody in my clan cares about actually playing. Haven't recruited since 2005. :P

Hey Jolien!
I don't know if it still works, but in TSF you can join a clan by just asking its leader. They won't care whether you're a good player or not. And since you said you like hotels...
Just play online for some time, if you're good, you won't remain unnoticed for long.
Good luck!
Some clans do care about recruiting someone if they are good or not. And why would you need to ask in TSF? lol, I'm pretty sure you can instant message them somehow over JJ.net.

Yeah, someone told me the names of who I could ask, but I cannot remember them xD. But I'll wait, I mean that it isn't really necessary to join a clan.
Can someone tell me if there is a way to host without pinging and without doing something to your router?

You might be able to use UPnP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Plug_and_Play). See this post for more information.

'I don't know if it still works', the difference between 1.23 and TSF is pretty much less then in the past, i think.

'I don't know if it still works', the difference between 1.23 and TSF is pretty much less then in the past, i think.Hmm yeah. But like I said: I'll just see whether a clan likes ME or not. For now I'll just have fun without a clan ^^. Or maybe even start my own (is that possible =o, like reopening the Br and Sis clan =o).

BR O.o..
Anyway yes, it'd perhaps be better to just play and see if you get "scouted" by a clan ;-).
