How did you get it fixed? I'm most curious.

Hmm, well I think my bro turned firewall off and opened ports 10050 to 10060. Though I could think you could just disable it for jj2 somehow. Oh yeah, and make sure you ask someone else to check if your server is pinging, you cannot (or at least myself) open another window of jj2 to check if your server is pinging. In other words, you cannot open another window of jj2 and attempt to join your server again.

With Jj2+ you can open a second Jj2 game, so I know opening the ports and turn of the firewall wont work.

Im not sure if the host with one jj2 and join with the other jj2 window works for you, because it doesnt work for me and im able to host normally. The easiest way is to create a server with the name: SuPeR uLtRa CoOl TeSt HoTeL bY "insert name". Dont forget to add colors and you might want to add some gramar mistakes. Trust me if you are able to host people join a server with a name like that in 10 seconds or less.

And for the hosting problem itself: Some people also had those problems and posted the solution on this forum. Those who search will find the ultimate answer.

You only need to open port 10052 both TCP and UDP. Also, you can usually check to see if your server is pinging by querying your server through a Games in Progress script (http://www.jazz2online.com/gip/) to see if your server player's name shows up in the server info.

Aarg! I just opened a server and it's on the list of Games in Progress of Jazz2Online.com and on Jazzjackrabbit.net. And you could join it, so it says. BUT nobody joins my server so for me it hasn't been confirmed that I REALLY can host, I just cant believe it >>. Someone, just join xD. (No, I'm going to stop hosting cause Im going to bed now)...

EDIT: Nm its ping >>.
