When exactly does BT consider calls to be Off Peak? I'm nosey cuz the ppl we live with have the Freeserve Off Peak ISP. I need to know when I don't need to pay for phone bills http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

6pm to 9am weekdays, and all through weekends. Weekends are cheaper.
Bit pointless if you ask me, but still, that's BT for you http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif.

Yes what he said but, I think the free time is 6pm till midnight, and all weekend, phone off peak is only till 8am not 9. We now use BT any time, 24 hrs "free" you pay monthly subscription, works best for us.

thnx guys, just what I needed http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif
Why not get AOL? I know it sounds stupid and everyone hates AOL but you don't pay for phone bills and only a monthly fee of £10.
Then again from NTL you can get cable (512kbps) for only £20!!!! http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Mwhaha! I'll have ADSL (768 KBit/Sec. Downstream) soon. Price is 25 EUROs per month for a flatrate (surf as long as you want! No traffic limit or anything).
Farewell good ole' iSDN :-)

Over here ADSL is either 512kbps or 500kbps at approx £50 a month. If you want a faster 1mbps line you'll have to pay £120 a month, a lot lower that I used to pay for my 14,4k modem connection (R3000 some months easily for the bill equalling up to £290). See any improvement from South Africa in the United Kingdom? And ppl around here complain BT sucks (and they actually do, being £30 billion in debt). I can tell ya one thing: when they get into South Africa they'll be begging for BT!

The German Telecom ("Deutsche Telekom") said they made 500 million(!) EUROs depts because of their iSDN/56KModem flatrate customers (i'm one of them, yet, the flat was at the good price of 40 EUROs/Month). They say those people were too much online (so called "24/7-Poweruser") and blocked the lines (iSDN and 56 Modems use the normal telephone line while DSL seems to use another frequency or something). Stupid warez kiddies, i guess.
Thats why they abolished this offer. So i really drool over my future DSL :-)

When I last ordered DSL, the company went out of business. I must have luck that puts companies out of business.
