No clan's life are going to be easy this season, clearly. :p
P.S. 7 different threads about JJ2WC III since the announcement. May an admin lock the others now and only keep this one open for discussion?

Welll fuck it, no way to make it completely fair.
Hopefully we go on. Still the most likely opponents are either t3 or RL so even should we go on, we're friggin toast.
One fun tournament:)

how you made the groups? It would be better if you made 3 groups with 3 teams, and 1st in each group go to the next stage. Second teams in groups will make another group and play each vs other, or, the best second team goes to the semifinals with 1st teams. Also, who will go to the next round? :p

If I understand it correctly, the first two of each group will go on to the semifinals. The current format looks ok to me though, each clan is guaranteed three or four games this way, makes the whole thing more fun. Sure, there will be a bit more competition for the top spots in group 1, but I don't think it's such a big deal.

Suggestion:
How about calculating ClanWars in this tournament for JJ.net, too? Please answer me and tell me why it shouldn't? It'll make JJ.net active (in CWs). Maybe calculate them with different rules because some clans are inactive at JJ.net. For example, for every win here, a clan will get 5 points, and for every lost game, -2 points.

I don't have r3p on msn or anything, but I can't play at friday that time. Any chance CC can schedule the match?
[GpW]Urbs
Nov 29, 2010, 10:38 AM
you basically dont need to tell rep. Make arrangements with the other clan and with the ref. Imo rep wouldnt even mind if the referees would get changed if one of them wouldnt have time at a certain time and date that the clans arranged.
BTW NF please contact me, GpW would like to play half an hour later on thursday... And is thursday even ok with you guys?

Could we reschedule our match against GpW to the next week? I've been busy for the last two weeks, but most likely could play then.
Edit: Match rescheduled to Wednesday, December 1st, 19:30 GMT + 1.
Edit2: Date fixed, I was a bit lost.

It's official folks, first game of the tournament one day ahead of schedule.
NF vs [GpW] - Wednesday, December 1st 19:30 CET (Referee: Vivando aka Superjazz)
We will also be getting a live stream on jjnet so I hope you'll tune in tommorow 19:30 CET - stream courtesy of VegitoCC.
I personally hope the game won't be all that interesting and quite frankly I wouldn't mind it one bit if the whole thing turned out to be a one sided affair where the red-and-blacks run rampant.
But I'm sure that won't be the case.
Grab your dips and grab your chips my friends JJ2 is on TV!!!
I'd also like to direct everybody to www.jazz2online.com/jj2wc for all further news and developments asociated with JJ2WC 3 (including possible streams).
Let there be bread and games and let there be joy, laughter, caps and slaughter. Come one, come all! Se the gladiators fight it out in the arena.
Ladies, do you like their chizzled bodies? How about those furs ey? And look at those beautiful colours.
And look, there the VIP stand - it is Caesar.

Dec 5, 2010, 04:03 AM
Should perhaps write reports over the matches played. I have no clue what happened at VS Vs RL for example.

VS got bulldozered
[GpW]Urbs
Dec 5, 2010, 05:31 AM
Well I wrote one semi-report on jj2wc page for the NF game.
If I have time I can write up reports for more games in next rounds. IMO up to the ref's as well.
Vegito
Dec 5, 2010, 06:14 AM
I sorta refer to the refs to write a small report indeed }>
[GpW]Urbs
Dec 5, 2010, 06:42 AM
GR writes on j2o, maybe he could be 2nd ref on a game or 2, there just for the sake of writting something up post-game.
OFC I came up with that without asking him whether he would even consider doing that and/or has the time to do it:)
Cuz atm sj, gry and warrior have been used in both rounds and if the trend continues it sort of doesnt seem fair that they would have to be the ones typing up reports week after week. Gry for example has exams this month and I'm sure the rest are busy as well (participating as players and not only as ref's).
Vegito
Dec 5, 2010, 10:00 AM

Well if t3 and VS play their match as per spaceboy's will, then CDF vs GpW will need a new referee on Saturday 19 30 CET.
I did understand you correctly right, you were complaining about not "being used", right?:)

I agree, not even mention at jjnet, but beating clan like Cpt. has to be called impressive win.
[GpW]Urbs
Dec 7, 2010, 04:23 AM
Well I didn't see the game and I could only type second hand stuff. I do agree reports would be helpful..
So what, shall we delegate it to the ref in charge of the game? And if he can't write it up he should get some1 to spectate and then write a quick report?
I'm kinda busy atm, but I suppose one report per week is possible...
ATM as far as I know only me and space have news accounts on jj2wc, maybe we should ask space to give it to a couple more people who would be in charge of posting.
But if you have a decen report, send it to me and I can put it up.

So what, shall we delegate it to the ref in charge of the game? And if he can't write it up he should get some1 to spectate and then write a quick report?
Please let that person watch on JJ2TV, the server is awfully full already.
[GpW]Urbs
Dec 8, 2010, 02:05 AM
Ya or that. The rules do state there should be no other specs than the ref...
But sometimes 2 matches might go on simultaneously and onlyy one will get streamed.
Lithium
Dec 8, 2010, 11:32 PM
And here we go again. Not like one spectator will cause massive lags...and not everyone can watch it on JJ2TV,sometimes the quality isn't that good so you can't even see who scored and when, and there are other problems too...
Lithium
Dec 8, 2010, 11:47 PM
And for some unknown reason,my computer crashed while I was watching the two last broadcasts.
Vegito
Dec 9, 2010, 12:25 AM
Err, if you watch the live matches it should be good enough quality. Good enough for players to see everything. Heck, I know it because I have 2 computers running when streaming.. One that streams, the other I check the result of the stream on ;-).
The 'JJ2TV' is far worse quality though, I noticed that too. I don't experience any crashes though.
[GpW]Urbs
Dec 9, 2010, 01:49 AM
IMO the best way to get reports is to send some1 who is willing to type them, to spectate the match. Or make sure the ref's get enough rotatition so it isn't always the same ref's that end up writting reports.
Unless they don't mind in which case, do go on and write a little somehting about each match.

Dec 11, 2010, 03:24 PM
Strange..?
e-kills are kills made after which a teammate scores. You kill the enemy flagcarrier and we score right after. Important kills.
Chiyu
Dec 11, 2010, 06:07 PM
I don't notice anything strange either, what do you mean? And as Veg said, we refer to e-kills as the critical flag carrier kills in a game on which one of our teammates scores :).
[GpW]Urbs
Dec 12, 2010, 12:48 AM
The infamous e-kills, in most other games (such as first person shooters a la www.quakelive.com , which is free and it roxx btw) they would be called assists. It means the killing of the enemy at the crucial time when your team mate is near the base and can score.
In quakelive you get 75 points for it, if I'm not mistaken, as opposed to 100 points on you get for a cap.
I can see how you would value each cap a tad bit more, but having said that, the timing of the kill, especially on jj2, is crucial, so I can see why CC-ers mention it in their reports, because it is pretty darn important.
Speaking of which, any1 got logs from yesterdays CDF vs GpW game? I wanna see my e-kills and scores:)
EDIT: I noticed the "wrong" anomaly - the 8-D game.
Superjazz
Dec 12, 2010, 12:57 AM

electronic style kills lol

Vegito
Dec 12, 2010, 02:33 AM
Urbs, I'll count them out for you. (Although I dont wanna make that a habbit)
Zaitox:
Kenny 8
Max 2
MS 1
Kev 1
Urbs 3
(Kenny had several solos due to bad Rs/movements from CDF)
Compare it with the rest of the stats, Kenny 5 scores, Snooze 4 scores, Urbs 2 scores..
Kenny was involved with 13 scores, Snooze with 4, Urbs with 5. It does show who the one player is in that game. Calculating Marsh now.
Urbs 3
Kenny 6
Snz 3
Kev 1
King 1
Again Kenny killed the most (50% of the teams scores) BUT this time it was less about Kenny.
The scores (Snz 6, Kenny 3, Urbs 3) make it even.
Kenny was involved with 9 scores, Snz was involved with 9 scores and Urbs with 6. That shows a whole lot more teamplay.
NF stands for Nameless Frontline, and not Frontier. Unless they've changed their name.
And thanks for explaining me what e-kills means, I was under the impression that means electronic kills or something :)
Lol, hadn't noticed
[GpW]Urbs
Dec 12, 2010, 03:02 AM
ehh uhm you don't have to do that...
thats why rep asked for that script that would make more detailed stats.
Uhm you can really just send me the logs and I can count, unless you really want to count them for me in which case thanks a bunch!:)

Kenny almost had to go in the RL game already. Well CC agreed to play the remaining rounds tommorow if our warteam has to go, and I hope they won't back down from that. Although if we play at 19 00 cet im sure we can finish the game the way it was planned.

Well, we gave it our all and we lost 5-3, winning one round (dw) and getting a tie in the other. Zaitox, once our best map proved to be quite challenging as that was the only map where CC had a very clear advantage. Weird, I used to love it, but I guess it is now grytolle's domain:)
GJ guru's!
Xere, Kryt, Skele, Spaceboy(now BRFH), Kenny and Snooze!
Thanks to GR and Speeza for the trainings (which were lacking latelys:(, hence the zaitox result).
Thanks to shadow and all the oldies for their support.

Definitely the closest games in the finals of this tournament. Gj at that one. 5-4, 2-5, 1-1 were the round scores at DW, JE and NA.
We kind of knew we'd win JE although you played pretty defensive making it hard for us to score. In NA we were doing the exact opposite. You scored 1-0 because of a double defense (and Gry got hit, somehow?). We relatively quickly scored 1-1, after which we took 0 risks anymore. All we did was continue keeping control of 'your' base to make sure you'd not score anymore. In the end it worked :).

Well we'll try Chiyu. I'm afraid, however, that a lot of clans don't really feel like meeting our two teams (gry told me how hard it is for your alpha to find somebody to ladder with). and the ladder system basically only forces the 1st clan to accept clanwars.
Although like I've said, we can do non ladder clanwars for all I care.
