This is where things get really interesting.

First, honorable mentions to Jake (maybe the previous entry would've been better ) and Sean for at least attempting to make assassination levels, but it's a shame the levels had problems.

Now, here's all of the levels on the poll:

Highly Dangerous Uterus (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/6527/highly-dangerous-ulteurus/) by Zerg
Sparks Factory (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/6592/sparks-factory/) by Obi1mcd
BollyWorld (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/6603/bollyworld/) by Leus
This End Up (http://www.jazz2online.com/downloads/6612/this-end-up/) by Sir E

You are allowed to vote for your own level, and the poll reveals who voted for what, so keep that in mind.

$50 (us dollars) up for grabs.

The poll will close in 30 days.

I will remain anonymous for a time, or perhaps for ever.:)
E. I'm voting now...

Found the problem. I have no idea why the other red base was missing at (223, 60)... You could've told me about that sooner, I would've had that fixed instantly.
E: Fixed. I would not see any reason why not give this a chance... I think it will lose to SE's level, so it shouldn't even change the result. Sean's level should also be still in, atleast if he fixes the level himself too.

I was concerned that the reason it didn't score was because I didn't disable capture wait. It would be horrible for me to disallow an entry because of something I failed to do. Since that is not the problem as you brought up, then it's too late for both of your entries, sorry.

Sudden news: Capture wait on = no scores.
E: Fixed.

How is it too late for my entry? I fixed the problem before the deadline, unless there's another one I missed.

I think, next time I shouldn't upload my entry 2 months before the deadline...
Could we make a "the first contest entry wins" poll? (just jokeing...)

There are problems I mentioned in the other topic.

I really didn't want to be a d-bag and vote for my own, but I think I'm gonna end up doing it because I'm legitmately happy with how my concepts turned out and just genuinely had the most fun playing it.

Highly Dangerous Uterus was REALLY tough; I died countless times. It's definitely an effectively hard boss battle, but I think maybe a little TOO hard for me... At least with my rusty skills.

Sparx Factory was pretty tough too, having to dodge all the sparx and flying maces and whatnot. Plus, it had a baller custom tileset and looked really nice. I liked the coin collecting concept; my first idea centered around a similar concept, actually, but it was too puzzle-based for the boss battle-oriented nature of the contest.

This End Up was rad, really well-done and a lot of thought and time put into it. (Very tough as well.) It also had the most unique gameplay elements of the three, ones I'd never experienced in Jazz before. I might have even voted for this, and it might very well deserve to win, but I thought it might have been a little too far from centering around the boss battle... In fact, the battle itself wasn't a battle at all, but just depended on resource accumulation and rationing. Still, awesome concept.

BollyWorld, I don't want to say too much about it 'cause I'll feel like a d-bag like I said. It definitely didn't have good eye candy or anything, but I think the gameplay elements turned out really nicely. I had to go through several concepts and trials before I was happy with the balance of varied and unique gameplay, toughness--in that, it's not TOO tough--and playability. It's also possible that there were some things I didn't account for that made it less fun to play for other people, but I enjoyed it and whether or not it wins I'm proud of it. I'd love to know what you guys think about it. :)

Anyway, best of luck to all contestants. It was a blast to be involved in this, and I hope to do more like this in the future. :)

I'll have a quick word about this:

Sparks Factory was, in my opinion, the most fun to play. It wasn't too hard, but very creative, especially the tileset. <strike>music choice sucked</strike>

This End Up... well I got up to the point where it got darker, and three continues later, I quit.

BollyWorld was certainly a fun boss battle, but for me, it wasn't as much fun as Sparks Factory. It took too long and was a little too chaotic for me.

...and I don't have TSF, sorry Zerg.

Regarding This End Up: I couldn't make it to the end, either. I did fly through it though and checked it out and it looked really nice. Maybe a checkpoint or two? Though I dunno if that could work with the concept, actually.

And thanks for the feedback on BollyWorld! I agree that it could get pretty chaotic with the copters floating away and whatnot, but I guess I just spent so much time playing it I perfected some strategies.

I had a couple of reasons to poll the results of this: One is the levels will probably get more exposure and be played more. The other reason is that I am not sure which level to choose exactly, so it might not be a good idea to choose a level that might be considered too difficult or uncreative. The winner could be a level that's fairly difficult, but not overly, or maybe creativity is a deciding factor for the winner. Who knows? - It's up to us.

Haha, well personally I thought This End Up was SUPER tough too. I honestly couldn't make it even most of the way through without cheating.

I don't know, This End Up still got the most votes. And I personally think it's of the highest quality (though what the best and what I like the most aren't the same thing) and super high difficulty is often cherished in the Jazz SP world.

Yeah understandable, the fans who've stayed loyal to this day have probably gotten pretty damn good. :)

Time is running out, so anyone else want to vote?

I voted for This End Up. It appears to be a close race between Sparks Factory and This End Up. I voted for the latter, because of the amount of creativity involved, but the difficulty may be beyond what is desired. It's still a feat to overcome in my opinion, and that is what I think makes the level fun. I found Sparks Factory to be a bit easy compared to the rest (still not "easy" as in beating the boss on the first try); I might even find it very easy if I played it more. It has good EC in my opinion.

Indeed, congrats SE, and thanks from me as well to FS and all the entries. It was fun. Let's do somethin' like this again soon! No cash prize needed, I just want an excuse to try and be creative with a prompt, haha. :)
