I was searching the other day for a boxed copy of the first Jazz Jackrabbit game and stumbled upon this auction: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Jazz-Jackrabbit-Game-3-1-2-PC-Disk-Sealed-/250879638214?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3D LVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2390516596587184157#ht_368 5wt_1139
What I find disturbing or hilarious about the auction is the image of the disk itself:

:lol::lol:
I showed it to a friend of mine and his reaction was something along the lines of " What the hell does Jazz have to do with John McClane ? "
So um, yippee ki yay?

There's only one bid, so I would think he got it.

That's NOVELTY and it's only $6.74 USD. I'd say it was worth it :D
<! I didn't intend on ACTUALLY winning on it but hey... >

Nice one, it's worth it just because of the cover alone and you still get the original Jazz Jackrabbit, albeit with only 6 of the episodes or possibly even 3 :(

((())) A WILD LONG LAST JCF MEMBER APPEARS((()))
I enjoyed the fact that the product itself needed to state it was a 3.5inch PC disk

I'll upload the 8-bit rabbit porn when I receive it (trust me, I'm scanning this disk for viruses, first off; secondly, I'm not really familiar with the different versions of JJ1- did they ONLY come on a floppy? And would this disk have the complete set of episodes? how does this all work?).

Well, Jazz Jackrabbit CD didn't come on a floppy. :P I'd say there are three realistic possibilities: the shareware (1 only), one of the three-episode-sets (1-3 or 4-6), or the full original game (1-6).

So they were actually able to fit this whole game onto a floppy? How's that? I remember this game taking a while to install and quite a bit of space... What's going to be missing?

Well, there existed a time when programmers knew how to compress data because they had to save space. It's not impossible, you just need to be good at it. It's probably not all 6 episodes, it may even be just 1.

If it contains a floppy, it seems to me that it likely only includes the first episode (the shareware version).

I think the six episode version came on four floppys.

Something I find even funnier is that I once was thinking of buying this, but this is clearly not a legit copy.
Let's face it, what publisher would give a game like Jazz Jackrabbit THAT cover. :D Anyway, it's been sold, so it's too late for you to buy this clearly modified Jazz Jackrabbit(Or some other game that no-one's ever heard of?) Box(I don't even want to KNOW what's on that Floppy!... Well, maybe just a bit... Alright, I'm curious... Maybe too curious. :O).

Yes, but it wasn't too late a month ago.

It probably is legit, publishers just didn't spend a lot of money on covers. Check out the Megaman NES game covers, they're hilarious!

What if the original owner of the CD custom-made the cover? Anyway, who won the auction? Anyone on the JCF?

It looks like this publisher spent the most money on their cover.
