UPDATE : March 2012
I Had planned to start.

But there is the list of progress:
Get the images (Enemies, rabbits, all) (IN PROGRESS !)
Get the music (OK!)
Convert the tilesets (IN PROGRESS !) (Also will have extra episodes :roll: )
Record the movies (such Intro and the end)
Making EXTRA MUSIC (For Extra Episodes)
Website (need there register for play that game)

Tileset :
The tileset is unlike normal JJ2 Tileset
The tileset are 3 images and 1 yml file
tileset.png : the tileset draw
mask.png : the mask
colours.png : it so hard to say, there is colours where is like Black and special purple colour on orginal Tileset file.

Hunger (Levels editors can be choose if enable):
You will need to eat food (and carrots) when you are very hunger! If you Hunger bar will empty. You must go fast for food before you die
If you are very hunger, you CAN'T run and for spaz double jump and hunger and fly ears rabbits can't use that feature. Also very hunger will lose 1 heart per 5 seconds.
NOTE: IN EASY THAT FEATURE WILL BE DISABLE AND WORK ONLY ON COOP AND SINGLE PLAYER.

So, I guess you'll be also coding a new JJ2 engine at the process? Otherwise, good luck trying any of those with the current engine. And before you say 'jj2+ ugpade' it doesn't have anything to do with JJ2+.

"Haredevil"

Venues:

Miniera.
Description: Gold mines, mine carts, pickaxes, torches, wooden huts, etc.

Grentenus.
Description: Alien grasslands, hanging plants, aliens, green blocks, fans, etc.

Abyssalis.
Description: Floating islands of stone, lack of colours, blackness, emo rabbits, etc.

Nice idea! But find and draw a new boss, also i need new enemies and bosses.
(Every extra episode will have new bosses. Such a dragon boss)

PS. Need new tileset :s

Know what else would be nice?
A mode in which you can only walk, you cannot change direction while in midair, you slide if the slope is more than 45 degrees, and anyother thing to make it realistic. The only exception is when you get the sugar rush.

Also, playing as Devan Shell, and being able to attach animation libraries OTHER than Anims.j2a to a level.

If someone did not understand, I was talking about Jazz CHALLENGING THE LAWS OF PHYSICS, by moving left and right WHILE FALLING!!! And you're guilty TOO, my dear SONIC!!!

And Jazz just runs TOO FASTLY all around the screen. I think running like a mad and changing direction in midair should BE allowed, BUT ONLY DURING SUGAR RUSH!!!

Shortly, if he jumps straight up, he SHOULDN'T be able to change dire... AAAH... Just take any clever and senseful videogame, such as Tomb Raider, and see what I'm talking about.

Gus, are you really ranting about realism while guiding a small bunny with a big gun around levels shown in 2d, containing eg. Carrots which heal you if you touch them?

Okay, let's get back to basics here. You're talking about converting images; that shouldn't be a big deal, given we understand the file formats. Breaking tilesets into three separate files kind of makes sense, in that the .j2t format only supports 256 colors, but I wonder if you might not have better results (lower filesize and better usability) modifying the .j2t format instead. But that's not too important. What's important is: what about the code? Do you have an engine? Are you seriously proposing to replicate the entire game engine, including all the objects, and if so, how far along are you?

Another good thing could be making 3 different tileset parts:
Layout/Parallax (16 bit colors)
Translucency/Alpha (Grayscale)
Mask (Grayscale, 0.5 is something like ooze, can be used along with water blocks)

without saying mutch words, I written once a delphi based JJ2-"remake" but thx that I'm so fucking lazy i never finished it...

Jazz walking in the level, collision was mainly working, colors set to low quality, physics of jumping was a bit unrealistic and too high, layers worked used the .j2l format and a new self created format...

I never finished this project the collision wasnt very jj2 like and the physics not very stable and exact...

I written this project about 2 years ago with andorra 2D engine in delphi, in the last year i palyed around with sdl and freepascal, but never written a real game so blah, at the moment i do not have mutch time for writing a game, to mutch to do at my job...

have fun with ur game...

I Don't work anymore with this remake. I Like to make patch like Skulltag. Also i want add drops.

In fact, I spent like 30 minutes on the Jazz sprite, made from nothing. Nevermind a full sequence of sprites.
